Photo : Gregoire Alexandre

Entrée face au 10 bis quai Henri IV, 75004 Paris

Nike Air Force One Bejing Olympics

I have seen this sneaker almost 3 to 5 times a day and have been for a while now (and no there were not the same people lol). I am not sure why they are so hot considering that I am sure there have been white and red Air Force One lows before, but I do have to admit they do look really good.

I have not seen them online anywhere except for a couple of sites (like sneakerhead BTW: I never shopped there so buyer beware) and it has only been in grade school (GS) sizes. I know for a FACT that this sneaker is sold in stores such as Footlocker, Finishline and Foot Action in adult sizes in NYC. I may get me a pair since I like them so much and the fact that I don't have a pair of Air Force Ones (gasp!!! I should close my blog for saying such blasphemy!!! lol).

I don't know if this is a regional released or a national release in stores only but it is in NYC and I have only seen it in stores. Prices I have seen have been in the betweens the 80 and 90 Bucks.

This sneaker is bangin. I love that Questlove is droppin a sneaker though, its way better than doing a clothing a line and have that flop. These look good though I like the bright colors and the gold swoosh. He is doing this as a part of the Nike's 1WORld series that sees Air Force 1's "created in partnership with global innovators in the fields of sport, music, art & design." I guess go cop them as soon as you can.

NEW DELHI: Quietly, very quietly, the desi version of the US president’s “Air Force One

NEW DELHI: Quietly, very quietly, the desi version of the US president's "Air Force One" has landed. From now on, Prime Minister Manmohan Singh can breathe easy as he gets a plush new, highly secure office high in the sky, much like President George Bush.

The first of three wide-bodied VVIP Boeing Business Jets, ordered in October 2005 at a cost of Rs 937 crore, touched down at the Palam airport here on Saturday night to join IAF's elite communication squadron, which ferries the President, the PM and other top dignitaries. "The other two should also come, one after the other, in the next 45 days," said an official.

The highly customised planes — which come with sophisticated self-protection suites (SPS), encrypted satellite communication facilities and advanced navigation aids — will ensure the PM and his entourage can fly in far more comfortable, and more importantly, secure environs than ever before.

The delivery of the VVIP planes, initially scheduled for June as earlier reported by TOI , was somewhat delayed due to Washington's insistence on proper safeguards for the hush-hush security equipment, like the SPS, fitted on them.

With India on course to sign the End-Use Verification Agreement (EUVA) and the Communication Interoperability and Security Memorandum of Agreement (CISMOA) with the US, the fears of hush-hush security equipment like the self-protection suites (SPS) in the aircraft have been allayed now.

As per US laws, a country procuring American defence equipment must negotiate pacts like EUVA and CISMOA to minimise security risks to US and its allies as well as ensure compliance with sensitive technology control requirements.

"The two pacts need to be signed since we are buying a lot of defence equipment from the US now, like the deal finalized for six C-130J Super Hercules aircraft for $962.45 million," said a senior official.

"We don't have problems with safeguards when sensitive technology is being transferred to us but we don't want anything which is intrusive and unnecessary. We have a spotless record in not letting high-technology leak to third parties," he added. Though not as technically sophisticated as Bush's Air Force One, the three Indian planes do have potent systems to tackle incoming "hostile" missiles or other airborne threats.

I have so many vcr tapes, and I want to get rid of them. But I don't want to throw them away, because they still are in very good condition. I kind of wish there was a paperbackswap.com for vcr tapes, but instead of swapping them, sending them out to people for only the cost of the shipping. Does anybody know of such a site? Does anybody want any of these tapes? Here is a partial list of the vcr tapes... There are more, if you want a full listing just let me know. I will give you all that you want.

Ever wondered which Harrison Ford movies are the Best? Or specifically, which 11 were the greatest of all time? Look no further. Reel Top 11 Presents: The Reel Top 11 Harrison Ford Movies of All Time. Enjoy.

PRESUMED INNOCENT: Fascinating murder mystery in which prosecutor Harrison Ford is accused of killing his co-worker, whom he had an affair with in the past. When he digs deep to find evidence regarding the murder, he gets implicated in the crime himself. Did he do it, or didn't he? Very good conundrum that illustrates how an adulterous husband's mistake in the past can still affect his future.

FRANTIC: Solid thriller from director Roman Polanski that mixes language barriers and kidnapping for an underrated film. While in Paris attending a conference, Dr. Richard Walker(Harrison Ford)'s wife mysteriously disappears. When the French police provide little help, he begins to hunt for his wife himself. He discovers a dangerous mixture of all types trying to find his wife with the help of a young Frenchwoman, who is mixed up in this mess as well.

AIR FORCE ONE: This time around Harrison Ford plays the President of the United States, who in the opening scenes declares to the world that "The United States will not negotiate with terrorists". A little later, the President and his family are aboard Air Force One when the plane is hijacked by terrorists that demand the release of a Russian world leader in exchange for the lives of the President's family. Sure, it is predictable, but an overall entertaining flick with great quotes like, "Get off my plane". PATRIOT GAMES: Newly retired, CIA analyst Jack Ryan has traveled to London to vacation with his wife and child. Visiting Buckingham Palace with his family, Ryan is caught in the middle of a terrorist attack on Lord Holmes, a member of the Royal Family. Ryan helps to thwart Holmes' assailants and becomes a local hero. In doing so, his courageous acts mark him as a target in the sights of the terrorist whose brother he killed. Now Ryan must return to action for the most vital assignment of his life: to save his family. One of Tom Clancy's best screen adaptation.

CLEAR AND PRESENT DANGER Clancy political thriller that thrust CIA Analyst Jack Ryan is in the middle of a drug cartel government corruption scandal. The best of the Clancy film adaptations, also features sweeping landscapes in Colombia mixed with political influence at the highest levels. Harrison Ford plays Jack Ryan like a pro and makes the movie that much better.

THE MOSQUITO COAST Very, very underrated classic. Peter Weir's directorial vision, about an inventor obsessed with changing the way his family views and does everyday things. He becomes disgusted with modern society and packs his family, moving to the Mosquito Coast of Honduras. When he gets there, he becomes an extraordinary man in an ordinary place, and eventually changes the place with modern ideals and inventions. This paradox is told from the point of view of his son, played by River Phoenix.

WITNESS: Another classic directed by Peter Weir, this story tells of a Detective who transforms his life to watch over a witness to a murder investigation. The witness is an 8 year old Amish boy, and Harrison Ford must try to blend in to hide from the police corruption in his department until he knows who he can trust. The film is a direct theme of one's discovery and putting an ordinary man in an extraordinary situation.

BLADE RUNNER Ridley Scott’s 1982 masterpiece performed poorly at the box office due to just plain awful editing, yet earned cult classic status with a director’s cut that has been changed and re-changed a dozen times. Nevertheless, Blade Runner is an epic film based on Philip Dick’s Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep? The film is very, very symbolic and depicts future Los Angeles in a fascinating light unparalleled by any movie since. Themes include the question of the harm versus help of robotics, what being human really means, and an overall study of Harrison Ford’s character. The Final Cut is truly the best edition, and is highly recommended. Warning: It is dreary and slow moving compared to recent movies, but its mark on the history of the genre is unrivaled.

THE FUGITIVE: "I didn't kill my wife!" 1993 thriller starring Ford as Dr. Richard Kimble, who is wrongfully tried and convicted of killing his wife. The film highlights his run from the law and the many obstacles he must face for justice. Very innovated in terms of

INDIANA JONES AND THE: RAIDERS OF THE LOST ARK, TEMPLE OF DOOM, THE LAST CRUSADE AND THE KINGDOM OF THE CRYSTAL SKULL

It really doesn't get any better than this folks. What more could you ask for in a character or a quadrilogy of movies? The perfect blend of action, smooth talking, romance, adventure, plot, story, directing and acting make these movies timeless and great to watch over and over again. These movies created the genre as we know it today, thanks to Steven Spielberg and George Lucas. Spielberg is a master of many things, and he showcases his directorial skills in all four of these classics. Raiders is by far the strongest, with the opening boulder chase to the secret of the Ark of the Covenent at the end. The other three maintain the magic with an awe in their own right as well. The next in the series, Temple of Doom is definitely the cheesiest, but nevertheless fun to watch for its many classic elements. Sean Connery is wonderfully cast as Indy's father in the third, The Last Crusade, and the storyline is phenomenal. The final film, The Kingdom of the Crystal Skull is a very good movie as well, and introduces further elements into the story that strengthen the series even more.

President Bush will be landing at the Redding airport. As my luck goes, I will be at another airport 70 miles away.....:???: Very Cool Anyway!!!

President Bush will be the third sitting president to visit the Redding area. Harry Truman made a “whistle stop” on a train in 1948 and then John F. Kennedy came in 1963 to dedicated Whiskeytown Dam.

A White House spokesman confirmed Tuesday that President Bush will be arriving early Thursday afternoon on Air Force One at the Redding Municipal Airport to survey north state fire damage.

"He's coming in," spokesman Trey Bohn said.

Although an exact time was not given for his arrival, Bohn said Bush will land early afternoon at the Redding airport and will receive a briefing on the wildfires ravaging the north state.

He will then take a helicopter trip from there to inspect the fire damage, Bohn said, adding that Bush also will be making a statement to the media when he returns to the airport.

But it does not appear that Bush will address the general public who arrive at the airport to see him, Bohn said.

"There won't be much of a public interaction," he said. "It's not open to the public, per se."

Bush will be making the trip to California from Washington, D.C., after first attending the morning funeral for former White House press secretary Tony Snow, who died of cancer Saturday.

He's also scheduled to attend a private Republican National Committee fundraiser in the Napa area on Thursday after his fire inspection trip and will be flying into Travis Air Force Base, Bohn said.

The Federal Aviation Administration has issued a temporary flight restriction for Redding Municipal Airport, as well as Benton Airpark, that would prohibit general aviation pilots from flying in and out of those facilities during Bush's visit, said Rod Dinger, the city of Redding's airports manager.

The temporary flight restriction will not affect air carrier traffic, firefighting air tankers and aircraft, law enforcement, air-ambulance and air cargo flights, he said.

Presidential advance teams began arriving Saturday at Redding Municipal Airport in preparation of the presidential visit, and a spokesman with Mercy Medical Center in Redding also confirmed that hospital officials have been contacted by team members about the visit.

The nature of the contact with the hospital was not disclosed.

A spokeswoman at the Secret Service's Sacramento field office said she was not authorized to talk about the president's trip. The Secret Service Web site said that teams of Secret Service agents travel in advance of presidential visits and conduct site surveys, which assess needs for manpower, equipment, hospitals and evacuation routes for emergencies.

Fire, rescue and other public service personnel in the community also are alerted and a lead advance agent coordinates all law enforcement representatives participating in the visit.

Redding Police Chief Leonard Moty said Tuesday that Secret Service personnel contacted the police department last week to alert them of a possible visit by Bush.

Moty said his department is prepared to help provide security for the trip, which will also require assistance from other law enforcement and public safety agencies, such as the Shasta County Sheriff's Office, the California Highway Patrol and the Redding Fire Department.

Moty said his officers would primarily help to provide perimeter control at the airport and that the department has enough personnel to handle the job.

"It does tax our resources a bit, but that's the way it goes," he said.

Shasta County Sheriff Tom Bosenko said he and others in his department met Monday with members of the Secret Service advance team to go over the president's expected visit and will assist agents in helping ensure that Bush remains safe.

"We are working closely with them," Bosenko said, adding that unexpected national and worldwide events could always cause the presidential trip to be canceled.

He said Bush's will have only a "minimal" effect on the department's day-to-day operation.
