Premature baby 'comes back to life'

A premature baby who was pronounced dead "came back to life" Sunday after five hours in Nahariya Hospital.

The baby girl, who was in a cooler at the hospital, suddenly showed signs of life and was being treated in the premature baby unit.

Doctors estimated that the cooler brought the fetus "back to life."

The mother, 26, from a Western Galilee village, was in the fifth month of her pregnancy when she underwent a series of tests, during which it was discovered that she was suffering from internal bleeding and that the embryo had ceased to show signs of life.

The woman underwent an abortion and the baby, weighing 610 grams, was extracted from her womb without a pulse, hospital officials said.

A senior doctor pronounced the baby dead and she was transferred to the cooler.

Five hours later, the woman's husband came to the hospital to take what he thought was his dead baby girl for burial.

When the baby was taken out of the cooler, she began to breathe. The premature baby was then taken to the intensive care ward, where doctors were attempting to save her life.

Tag 11 und Tag 12 war ich auf der Hochzeit oder die sind mehr oder weniger die Ausnahme gewesen. Besser es waren nur die Ausnahmetage. Gestern habe ich mich noch ins Büro gequällt. Nach so zwei Tagen ist es echt hart wieder um 15:30 im Büro produktiv zu werden. Ich konnte einige Copy &Paste aufgaben machen die ich sonst irgendwann hätte machen müssen. Wie ein Freund sagte: Aufgaben die auch ein Affe hätte erledigen können. Ach ja und eMails beantwortet die ich sonst hätte zum Teil am Dienstag beantworten müssen. Die Hochzeit war super und ich habe nicht so schlimm gesündigt.

Heute dann ausgeschlafen bis 7:30. Bin von allein aufgewacht, hatte extra kein Wecker gestellt. Ab morgen geht der Wecker wieder um 5:00. Dann bin ich nach dem Frappe hoch gelaufen. Ein Kollege der auch arbeiten muss hat dann etwas später frische Brötchen mit gebracht. Na ja, ich habe ein Schokocroisant gegessen und ein Käsebrötchen. Später quasi zum Mittag ein normales Brötchen mit Hänchentaller.

Jetzt ein wenig süßes. Kein optimaler Ernährungstag, aber man kommt nur langsam wieder runter. Jetzt wird weiter gearbeitet. Ich finde Arbeit hört sich blöd an oder besser gesagt es ist irgendwie negativ besetzt beim Volk. Man wird immer schief angesprochen, wenn man am WE arbeiten geht. Daher muss ich mir was anderes ausdenken.

About the Artist

Corneille is a Canadian/Rwandan singer, he started singing in French when I first new him. With his powerful voice he has been influenced by singer such as Marvin Gaye, and Stevie Wonder. His first English sung album is "The Birth of Cornelius". I guess the whole album is kind of dedicated to his girlfriend or wife (I don't know)

About the Song

I love Back to Life because it brings back the old soul. With his powerful voice, the song is almost flawless and it is highly recommended. I guess again that this is dedicated to his girlfriend. Much more of Corneille to come! Enjoy

Giovanni Allevi in concerto: una travolgente passione...

Una travolgente passione è ciò che è arrivato al pubblico del Teatro Lirico di Cagliari il 03 Maggio 2008, durante il concerto di Giovanni Allevi.

Sul palco un pianoforte, un semplice sfondo e un giovane talento: pantaloni neri taglio-jeans, stretti nelle gambe, scarpe in tela nere, felpa con cappuccio e cerniera, anch'essa nera, una folta chioma riccioluta e un colorito pallido.

Per più di un'ora e mezza questo particolare ragazzo ha suonato, senza l'ombra di uno spartito, la sua musica ....con la schiena curva e la testa china sulla tastiera, spiegando tra un pezzo e l'altro gli eventi, le sensazioni che lo hanno ispirato.

Noi, gli spettatori, immersi ed avvolti dalle sue note, bellissime, coinvolgenti e capaci di essere linguaggio, vettore mai banale dei contenuti dell'anima di ognuno.

Un'energia dirompente emanata e liberata grazie alla raggiunta consapevolezza.

Uno dei pezzi più belli, "Back to life" ci spiega rappresenti il ritorno alla vita, avvenuto con la scoperta che è proprio nella sua fragilità che risiede la sua forza.

Giovanni Allevi è stato una sorprendente scoperta, un efficace modo per ricordare a tutti noi che, al di là di tutto, "quando fai le cose con il cuore le porte non si aprono... si sfondano!"

I am about to hit 800 hits in the few short months I have started this thing and I go off and stop posting and kill it like a big ol' douche. Sorry for my lazyness. Wie sehen wir fremde Länder? Das Bild wird sehr stark durch Berichte und Bilder in Zeitungen oder im TV geprägt. Und meistens wird es wie ein Paradies dargestellt: Traumstrände, tolle Hotels und Restaurants, faszinierende Sehenswürdigkeiten. Aber meistens gibt es in vielen Ländern auch Leid und Not. Dies wird jeder, der reist auch mit den eigenen Augen sehen - sofern er nicht nur in seiner noblen Hotelanlage verweilt. Mir ist das nochmal sehr bewusst geworden, als ich letzte Woche bei VOX-Tours einen Bericht über Indien gesehen habe. Eine Geschichte die echt wahnsinnig prägt und einen bleibenden Eindruck hinterlässt. Bitte lest den Beitrag bis zum Ende durch! Es tut gut die Welt mal mit anderen Augen zu sehen.

Die Stella Deetjen aus Deutschland reiste mit Ihrem Rucksack auf der Suche nach Abenteuer nach Indien.

"Ich kam nach Benaris eine Pilgerstadt am Fluss Ganges und sah dort zum ersten Mal in meinem Leben Leprakranke", schildert Stelle Deetjen ihre ersten Eindrücke als Touristin in Indien. "Sie saßen da und bettelten, ihre Lage sah für mich völlig hoffnungslos aus, als würden sie auf ihren Tod warten. Ich habe mich an ihnen vorbei geschlichen, so wie das eigentlich fast jeder dort tut. Ich gebe zu, am Anfang habe ich auch weggeschaut."

Stella erzähle, das Sie sich am Ufer des Ganges vor Magenkrämpfen krümmte, da bot ein Leprakranker seine Hilfe an. Sie fragt nach dem Namen des Mannes und er antwortete „warum willst du das wissen? Kein Mensch fragt mich seit 10 Jahren nach meinem Namen!“ Doch nach der Begegnung mit dem älteren Leprakranken wollte Stella mehr über sein Leben erfahren und unterhielt sich mit ihm. "Die menschliche Wärme war so groß, dass ich keine Angst haben konnte", erzählt sie. Die damals 24-Jährige freundet sich mit den Ausgestoßenen an, erfährt mehr von deren unfassbarem Elend und erlebt hautnah, welcher Willkür sie täglich ausgesetzt sind. Als die junge Deutsche erfährt, dass die Krankheit heilbar ist, verzichtet sie auf ihr geplantes Fotografie-Studium und bleibt in Indien. Gegen alle Widerstände gründet sie aus dem Nichts eine Straßenklinik und später ein Kinderheim für Straßenkinder – und wird seitdem als "Engel von Varanasi" verehrt.

Diese Frau hat mich sehr beeindruckt, ja, richtig richtig berührt. Ich musste mich total zusammen reißen, weil ich einfach nur weinen hätte können und es mich zu tiefst getroffen hat. Es ist richtig grausam zu sehen, wie schlecht es anderen Menschen geht im Gegensatz zu uns. Wir motzen die ganze Zeit nur rum über einfache belanglose Dinge und die haben einfach gar nichts. NICHTS! Werden nicht mal angeschaut! Also diese Geschichte hat mich wirklich so getroffen und tief in mein Herz gestochen. Nach dieser Sendung konnte ich kaum an was anderes denken. Also ehrlich, wen diese Geschichte kalt lässt, hat wirklich kein Herz. Dafür bewundere ich diese Frau, eine Frau, die was durchsetzt und hilft. Etwas macht, was viele vielleicht wollen aber nicht tun oder sogar wegschauen. Ich habe sehr großen Respekt, diese Selbstlosigkeit, diesen Mut. Einfach Wahnsinn.

Deswegen haben auch wir eine kleine Spende an Back to Life e.V. überwiesen. Wenigstens ein kleines Bruchstückchen beigetragen zu haben für eine bessere Welt!

Ghost Dog: The Way of The Samurai soundtrack

QUESTION 1: Who remembers back in 1999 when this Samurai flick came to theaters? Forest Whitaker as a modern day Samurai wit. I DO...and I thought and still think that Jim Jarmusch was a genius for writing and directing this classic of sorts. Even better was the fact that RZA did the score.

QUESTION 2: Who remembers how shocked (and pissed) they were when they ran to the local music spot, picked up the soundtrack with out looking (cause from what you'd heard in the movie you new it was a banger) and heard "Strange Eyes" by Sunz Of Man, 12 O'Clock and Blue Raspberry INSTEAD OF "Ghost Dog Theme (W/Dogs and EFX)"

Personally I was heated. I was almost as heated as the time I copped the Belly soundtrack and they didn't include Soul II Soul's Back to life (However Do You Want It) What the fu*k was that about?!? Of course I later found out that there was a japan exclusive which included the music from the movie, which was also ridiculously priced. I always toiled with dropping the extra cash to get that album (which just kept getting more expensive for a few years, and then finally I gave in.

In the end what I found was that you really shouldn't have one without the other. The score was nice, butt he US soundtrack showcased some ridiculous Wu talent (Tekitha, La The Darkman, Suga Bang Bang to name a few). Together both soundtracks form the perfect blend of listening for just about any mood. Rowdy street tales, higher consciousness, string tuggin' young-love stories, a soulfull twist that takes it way back to the days of showmanship (Ghost got in on this track that I'm thinking of on Bulletproof Wallets), hazy blazed head nod sessions and everything else. Then you get the japanese version which offers a good glimpse of RZ soundtracks to come (i.e.Kill Bill). RZA's a genius with those claps and off-kiltered tipsy knocks, bumps and ticks. All this talk about swagger nowadays, but to me it's mostly off-base. RZA got swagger, not for literal jewels, but simply for his ability to walk a line that so many would fall off of even with a harness. Dirty definitely had that swagger too (R.I.P.). Just listen his verse on Snakes of of his Return To The 36 Chambers album.

So now it's time to get moving so you can get your ears and mind wrapped around these double gems, here and here and here. Peace.
