Mendte is accused of gaining access to Lane's e-mails on at least 537 occasions between January and May.

Both anchors were dumped by the station. Lane was fired over a series of embarrassing incidents, including a scuffle with a New York City police officer.

For Mendte, 51, the government charged him with a single felony count of intentionally accessing a protected computer without authorization.

Mendte and Lane anchored the 6 p.m. and 11 p.m. newscasts. Mendte was taken off the air after his house was raided and Lane argued in a lawsuit that the station was guilty of sex discrimination by firing her and keeping Mendte on the air.

Mendte, who is married to another local anchor -- Fox news anchor Dawn Stensland. He previously co-hosted "Access Hollywood" and worked at stations in Chicago, San Diego and New York.

The questions over Rick Ross’ previous employment status has seemingly been answered by website TheSmokingGun.com, which released records showing the Miami rapper was at one time a corrections officer.

Ross, born William Roberts, is known for his gritty tales of drug dealing and the street life, but he also apparently graduated from the Florida Department of Corrections (DoC) training academy.

The rapper's social security number matches that of a William Roberts, who was assigned to the South Florida Reception Center in Dade County.

The 32-year-old rapper was appointed a prison guard in December of 1995 at the tender age of 19. He left the job in 1997.

In a previous statement Ross denied the allegations and labeled pictures of him in a correctional officer’s uniform were fraudulent.

"My life is 100% real," Ross told AllHipHop.com in a previous statement regarding the photo. "These online hackers putting a picture of my face when I was a teenager in high school on other peoples' body. If this s**t was real don't you think they would have more specifics, like dates and everything? I'm in the entertainment business and a lot of people who like to hate because I'm on top of my game. Like I said before my life is 100% real. I live by this die by this. Fake pictures are created by the fake, meant to entertain the fake."

The woman identified in the pictures shaking hands with Ross is Marta Villacort, who was head of the South Florida Reception Center.

At press time, Rick Ross was unavailable for a comment on the prison report.

I'm deeply saddened by the loss of Khia "Dj K-Swift" Edgerton. She died yesterday from injuries related to a broken neck. Apparently, she had a pool party late last night and an accident occured where she mustve fallen or slipped, breaking her neck. Details regarding the accident haven't been completely disclosed.

Ever since 1998, when she was a BIG girl mixin it up at Generation Xtremes and Western/Poly parties, she's been my favorite DJ out of Baltimore. Noone compares to the Club Queen. There will never be another Club Queen. She opened doors for so many people. She was the first female DJ that I ever even knew!

If I was ever asked who were the hottest DJs in Bmore I would always reply "Dj K-Swift..." followed by "umm...uhh...." That's how serious she had the game on lock. This is a terrible loss for the 92Q family and for Baltimore.

We are deeply saddened and it is our deepest regret to inform you that the 92Q family, the music industry, and the community has suffered an incredible loss. Early Monday morning, Khia Edgerton, better known as, K-Swift, passed away.

K-Swift has been with 92Q for ten years and in that time she grew to become one of our most popular DJs and known throughout the world as the Baltimore "Club Queen."

She leaves behind a mother, a sister, and a large extended family.

This is terrible loss and a terrible day for 92Q and the entire community.

Popular female DJ K-Swift died this morning (July 21) in a swimming pool accident in her hometown of Baltimore, Maryland AllHipHop.com has learned.

K-Swift, born Khia Edgerton, was just 28-years-old, at the time of her death, although she started DJ’ing at the age of 11, due to the influence of other pioneering DJ’s like Cocoa Channel and Jazzy Joyce.

K-Swift broke ground on Baltimore’s Radio One station 92Q Jams, where she rose to Female Mix Show Coordinator and was the only female in the country to hold the title.

She was also a member of the Violator-All Star DJ Coalition, as well as a member of the all female squad the Murda Mami’s.

"I'm at a loss for words right now,” Murda Mami founder 1st Lady El told AllHipHop.com. “K-Swift was not only one of my Murda Mami sisters, she was a great friend. She knocked down doors for women in this industry, so humble and hard working. Legendary in the club music scene and the number one DJ in Baltimore. She will be missed."

In addition to being the only female record pool director in Baltimore (Direct Drive Record Pool), K-Swift also owned Club Queen Entertainment, a graphics management and production company.

"DJ K-Swift was one of kindest individuals I have come across in my travels. She represented Violator and more importantly Hip-Hop," said Violator CEO Chris Lighty. "Our prayers go out to her family. She will be missed."

"I want to say thank you for being that role model, aunt, manager and friend that you were," added K-Swift's nephew, DJ The Kid. "I am gonna miss you more than anyone can imagine...I love you K, save that place in heaven for me so we can kick it like the old days when I get there."

ALEXANDRIA, Va. (AP) - Ready for the latest in spa pampering? Prepare to dunk your tootsies in a tank of water and let tiny carp nibble away.

Fish pedicures are creating something of a splash in the D.C. area, where a northern Virginia spa has been offering them for the past four months. John Ho, who runs the Yvonne Hair and Nails salon with his wife, Yvonne Le, said 5,000 people have taken the plunge so far.

"This is a good treatment for everyone who likes to have nice feet," Ho said.

He said he wanted to come up with something unique while finding a replacement for pedicures that use razors to scrape off dead skin. The razors have fallen out of favor with state regulators because of concerns about whether they're sanitary.

Ho was skeptical at first about the fish, which are called garra rufa but typically known as doctor fish. They were first used in Turkey and have become popular in some Asian countries.

But Ho doubted they would thrive in the warm water needed for a comfortable footbath. And he didn't know if customers would like the idea.

"I know people were a little intimidated at first," Ho said. "But I just said, 'Let's give it a shot.' "

Customers were quickly hooked.

Tracy Roberts, 33, of Rockville, Md., heard about it on a local radio show. She said it was "the best pedicure I ever had" and has spread the word to friends and co-workers.

"I'd been an athlete all my life, so I've always had calluses on my feet. This was the first time somebody got rid of my calluses completely," she said.

First time customer KaNin Reese, 32, of Washington, described the tingling sensation created by the toothless fish: "It kind of feels like your foot's asleep," she said.

The fish don't do the job alone. After 15 to 30 minutes in the tank, customers get a standard pedicure, made easier by the soft skin the doctor fish leave behind.

Ho believes his is the only salon in the country to offer the treatment, which costs $35 for 15 minutes and $50 for 30 minutes. The spa has more than 1,000 fish, with about 100 in each individual pedicure tank at any given time.

Dennis Arnold, a podiatrist who four years ago established the International Pedicure Association, said he had never heard of the treatment and doubts it will become widespread.

"I think most people would be afraid of it," he said.

Customer Patsy Fisher, 42, of Crofton, Md., admitted she was nervous as she prepared for her first fish pedicure. But her apprehension dissolved into laughter after she put her feet in the tank and the fish swarmed to her toes.

"It's a little ticklish, actually," she said.

Ho said the hot water in which the fish thrive doesn't support much plant or aquatic life, so they learned to feed on whatever food sources were available—including dead, flaking skin. They leave live skin alone because, without teeth, they can't bite it off.

In addition to offering pedicures, Ho hopes to establish a network of Doctor Fish Massage franchises and is evaluating a full-body fish treatment that, among other things, could treat psoriasis and other skin ailments.

Ho spent a year and about $40,000 getting the pedicures up and running, with a few hiccups along the way.

State regulations make no provision for regulating fish pedicures. But the county health department—which does regulate pools—required the salon to switch from a shallow, tiled communal pool that served as many as eight people to individual tanks in which the water is changed for each customer.

The communal pool also presented its own problem: At times the fish would flock to the feet of an individual with a surplus of dead skin, leaving others with a dearth of fish.

"It would sometimes be embarrassing for them but it was also really hilarious," Ho said.

So, what did I experience? How does one explain something that is, seemingly unreal, definitely surreal and totally real all at the same time? I know what I experienced, and I know that bizarre doesn't begin to cover it. For me, it is a personal experience, one that I'd recommend when the time is right for any individual. It's funny that I didn't know that the time was right for me, until now.
