Not much changes in the world of me. My life's a war, and for some fucked up reason, all the asshats gravitate towards me. I mean, come on, can't these pieces of biological waste get a hobby or something?

This one, however, has. She seems to find people like me, who stand against America (for me, it's simply the Americanization of Canada). She has, as you have now realized following the link, taken on a war against anti-Americanism (isn't that just as futile as taking on a war against another concept, such as terrorism)? And just to show you where I stand (as it seems I'm highly misunderstood). America is fine. Within limits. For me, just south of 49 will do. And they can have Toronto to boot. I had a choice to live permanently there, but I chose to stay in the Great White North. Why? Health care and not living in a culture of fear were good reasons.

Not to say that America doesn't have great strengths. I just want to enjoy Canadian strengths. Hockey. Beer. To put a defining point on my beef, take a full college or university program on Canadian Film studies. The lack of funding for good Canadian content is a real sore spot with me.

Still, this 'person' chose to hammer this post and the About Me page on here, prior to writing this post about how we Canadians are 'insecure about our southern neighbours'. Now, instead of defaming her on this site, just read all the comments to see what a nutjob she really is. My favourite bit though still is these two points.

Estreia hoje em Portugal, a sexta temporada de Family Guy na FOX, uma estreia em primeira-mão do canal por cabo, que no entanto não virá ordenada conforme Seth MacFarlane a planeou.

Graças à rápida resposta da FOX, recebi hoje a informação em primeira-mão do primeiro dia em que Blue Harvest será exibido.

O primeiro episódio da temporada, "Blue Harvest", não abrirá a temporada, mas também não será encurtado, como vinha indicado na grelha de programação da FOX para Junho. quando na realidade, perfaz um total de quarenta e oito minutos.

"Blue Harvest" será exibido na sua totalidade, todos os quarenta e oito minutos, no dia 12 de Junho (Quinta-Feira), ainda num horário por anunciar.

Joana Pratas, responsável pela imprensa do grupo FOX, afirma que, porque o primeiro episódio é maior do que os habituais, e porque houve um atraso na vinda de materiais dos EUA, a grelha teve que sofrer estas alterações.

Hoje pelas 13h40 é exibido Movin’ Out (Brian’s Song), com participação especial de Drew Barrymore (Donnie Darko). A partir do próximo sábado, serão exibidos os restantes episódios que se seguem na sexta temporada.

Amanhã será confirmado o horário de estreia de "Blue Harvest". Esteja atento.

doujin work:
najimi osana wanted to make some money. after seeing how successful her friend, tsuyumi, is with creating doujinshi, najimi tries her hand into the world of doujin. najimi starts out with only money in her mind but as she puts more effort into the creation of her work which is the main focus of the series; the stereotypical (perverted) perception people have on doujin. this series does feel like a segment from "genshiken" - mainly the ougie-yaoi fantasy stories. each episode focuses on an aspect of doujinshi; from creating ideas, to artistic techniques and promotional tactics. we follow najimi's development into becoming a doujin artist with many otaku jokes along the way. its a nice, short series (12 x 12mins episodes).

karas:
i forgot to review this last time and its been 3 months since i watch it... so the finer details of the plot is a little hazy. its a battle of good vs evil. a karas maintain balance between the human and the spirit world but one rogue karas decides to take over shinjuku, sending youkai to drain fluids from humans. but there's a new karas emerges to stop him. the highlight of this series is the animation. with a blend of 2d & 3d animation, shinjuku is created in spectacular detail with a gothic allure similar to gotham city of "batman" comics. character designs are awesome, especially with the karas - the opening battle scene will blow you away. a 6 episode ova, the first half is a little confusing, you'll find yourself with many questions floating around due to random jumps between various scenes. the second half does wraps things up and then it draws to a typical superhero battle-finale.

midori no hibi:
there's so many wrong things you can think of while watching this series... but i won't go there. high school delinquent, seji sawamura, wants a girlfriend but has always been rejected. but one day he wakes up to find his right hand has become a girl, midori kasugano, who has a crush on him (when she was still in normal human form). here we have a bunch of weird stories of what would happen if your right hand becomes a girl. but the main focus of the series is its development of the character's relationship. even with the weird scenario, this could be considered more of a drama/relationship story, with plenty of funny scenes, and some nice touching moments... but like i said before, there's so many wrong things that come to mind while watching this.

appleseed: ex-machina:
its another storyline to the appleseed franchise. the 2d/3d animation is an improvement from the previous appleseed (2004) movie. but the story is very hollywood. heavily advertised with john woo as its producer, unfortunately this isn't as gripping as "face/off". even the final battle seems a bit of a rip-off from the matrix trilogy.

superman: doomsday:
i know this isn't an anime, but its "animated"... well, i thought i'll just add this here anyways. its a different adaptation of the doomsday/world without/return of superman storylines - but with less detail... less blood... less killings... less major characters... okay... its a nicer version of the story which kids can watch... though i'm surprised they included a superman/lois lane-secret lovers rendezvous chapter into the story... sorry, just had some more wrong thoughts.

i've only recently started watching some episodes of "family guy" and i'm finding it more entertaining than "the simpsons". and being a star wars fan... i guess this was inevitable... anyways, i've just gone all blank here as to how to review this one... then it just hit me... every wrong thought you can come up with while watching "star wars"... its all here... "family guy" style.

Demà es posa a la venda en DVD a Espanya "Blue Harvest", el capítol especial amb el que "Padre de família" fa un homenatge/parodia a la saga de "La guerra de les galàxies".

"Blue Harvest" presenta a Peter, Lois, Chris, Stewie, Brian i alguns dels ciutadans més il·lustres de Quahog ficats en plena aventura de ciència ficció. Han Solo (Peter) no vol anar-se del famós compressor d'escombraries sense el sofà que han trobat dintre; Darth Vader (Stewie) duu bolquers i l'hi fa tot a sobre; Luke (Chris) ha d'enfrontar-se als caces "Thai" i C-3PO (Quagmire) s'enrotlla amb una impressora matricial dels 80. Amb aparicions especials com les de Rush Limbaugh, Chevy Chase, Beverly D'Angelo i Helen Reddy, "Padre de Família presenta: Blue Harvest" és "una pel·lícula homenatge que clava Star Wars i al mateix temps riu del film i d'un munt de coses de la vida mateixa".

El DVD inclou més de quatre minuts de material inèdit, una pista sense censurar, una versió animàtica, comentaris en àudio, entrevistes amb Seth MacFarlane i George Lucas i un avanç d'altra paròdia de Star Wars de "Padre de Família" que encara no està acabada (a la que de moment se li ha donat el títol de "Something, Something, Something Dark Side"). Els autèntics fans de "Padre de família" i Star Wars gaudiran amb una edició especial en DVD que inclou una packaging col·leccionable, croms, un quadern exclusiu, unes ulleres 3D, una samarreta i molt més.

Saldrán dos ediciones, normal y coleccionistas, pero de seguro esta segunda hará las delicias de los fans, tanto de la serie como de la saga de George Lucas. Llevará de regalo una camiseta, una colección de tarjetas, folleto de 20 páginas de producción y unas gafas 3D (que siven para ver una escena 3D de los contenidos extra). Lo que no han salido todavía son los precios...

Show Everything or Only Synced Content

Remember how you could connect to another iTunes library and see all that content instead of just what was synced to the Apple TV? You can still do that, but if you uncheck this option, you will see the entire contents of the syncing iTunes library:

It's like you've suddenly expanded the storage of your Apple TV way beyond the confines of the built-in hard drive. You see everything, but some of it is synced and some is not. This is seamless to the user. If you specify automatic syncing, iTunes will sync as much of the content as it can, then stream the rest.

This is a fantastic feature for 40Gb users and it is really cool to see everything, but personally, I still like the concept of Apple TV only storing a subset, specifically, the next few episodes of TV shows in sequence or unplayed podcasts.

TV Show Display Tweaks

Seasons of a particular show are now separated by a small line of text and episode names are prefixed by their number in sequence:

AirTunes

I think this is a killer feature despite its low-key appearance. It instantly solves the problem of not being able to sync Audible audiobooks to the Apple TV. What's cooler than Airport Express is the ability to start and stop the content. It's like getting an Airport Express for free, with more functionality. This feature is so cool it alone warrants a stampede to upgrade.

Select the Apple TV as a speaker output in iTunes, begin playing and after a few seconds, the audio file appears in the Now Playing screen with accompanying artwork, just like local content.

iPhoto Event Support

Apple TV joins the iPod and iPhone in adding support for iPhoto events. You can select a number of events to sync, in addition to all the older options:

This now matches iTunes. I like seeing international support for country-specific ratings:

Bugs

My Apple TV remembered my Australian iTunes Store setting, but when I go into the TV Shows submenu, the first option is Favorites, which only applies to the iTunes Store and we don't have TV shows in our store. Bug or unwitting reveal of upcoming launch of TV shows on the Australian store? Also, in Parental Controls, I can't select a TV rating. The only option is "No", even though Australia does use TV ratings.

The interface hung a number of times but this could be due to iTunes constantly trying to sync while I was exploring. Now that this process is complete I'm hoping it works better. I'm also starting to suspect that my modem is not providing the speed it should be, so if Apple TV is choking on a slow connection, it could also be a reason why it locks up.

I was unable to buy any music item from the store since I installed on Wednesday, 13 Feb. I'll be ringing Apple on this one.

Enhancement Requests

The continued lack of support for movies in albums makes the movies menu unwieldy, as you get all of them in alphabetical sequence. Apple still seems to maintain the idea that movies are discrete files that would never appear with related material such as trailers, out-takes, etc. Here I've got two movies both named Accident. One is a US Get a Mac ad, the other is the UK version:

I have compiled each region's ads into albums. These should appear in the Movies menu as albums do in Music.

Go and get your update. It's not often that you get a brand-new piece of hardware for free via a software update.

Sinceramente creo que es un capítulo que debemos de tener en nuestra colección, no solo por tratarse de Star Wars, sino porque la producción y la calidad del mismo es impresionante, superando gráficamente todo lo visto anteriormente. Mención especial al pack DVD edición coleccionista con suculentos extras entre los cuales se encuentra una versión optimizada de Blue Harvest para ser transferida directamente al ipod, una camiseta y art book con notas de diseño.

Pero esto es el principio ya que según he estado viendo, se encuentra en desarrollo una secuela llamada Something, Something, Something Dark Side.

Why is it that WWE RAW in HD looks just like RAW in non-HD? I'm tuning in late tonight. 8Mile is on Vh1 and you know I love me so Eminem. Yum.

Jericho is way hotter in HD! I wonder what Randy Orton's gonna look like? Or Jeff Hardy!!! Y2J's on this whole "you shoulda finished the job" speech about how he's still here after the worse beating of his life. It's a shame I'mma miss the Royal Rumble! It's gonna be a battle royale!

First up: Snitsky. Next: Mark Henry. That was easy. William Regal gets mad and comes flying out to the ring. He almost gets The Game over the ropes but, of course, it's all about THE GAME! And he tosses Regal over the ropes for the win. I wonder who the third really was sposed to be.

Oh yeah, Batista was named Superstar of the Year by WWE Magazine. He deserves it, I guess. Punjabi Prison Match, great book. Congrats dude!

Just saw Family Guy: Blue Harvest. It was decent, pretty funny. Actually, extremely funny. But it was more like Spaceballs, than Star Wars. Check it out though.
