Royal Caribbean and all 44,000+ travel agencies are sending out their reminders to Diamond Members, Diamond Plus, and people who have bought suites on RCCL in the Past so that can start booking the Oasis of the Seas tomorrow, 8.21.08. She is scheduled to start sailing late December 2009. RCCL Crown and Anchor will be able to book on 8.28.08 and the general public on 9.3.08. Prices will start out slightly high and just keep going up as the hype grows. This ship is history in the making.

The Oasis of the Seas is truly going to be unlike any other vessel. Almost twice the size of any other vessel. Among many amazing aspects of the Oasis that havebeen released, currently I am most excited about it having a central park with balconies overlooking the park. Click here for video and details.

When deciding on a vacation trip, your priority should be making a budget to make the best of your

When deciding on a vacation trip, your priority should be making a budget to make the best of your time. With little time for vacations available, you must decide on the bet place that offers the most, and still give you the best options for entertainment and leisure.

When deciding on a budget, keep the following on mind:

1- Location.

Probably the most important point to focus on, choosing a place to go to should take the highest priority on your budget. Whether it's within the US, outside of it, another country or continent, this decision should be based on your desire to explore the world. Of course, some people decide to stay within the country the think they know, only to be surprised by little things they thought they knew. The beauty of one's own country has never been fully explored, so picking a state or city within the US is always a good call. Also, traveling in USA is probably one of the most economic options, budget-wise, as you don't have to focus on passports, visas and other documentation.

2- Accommodations.

Depending on how comfortable you want to feel, choosing the right place to stay is the second point of focus for you and your budget. With a wide variety of hotels and resorts at your disposal, choosing the right one, might depend on what they offer to you. Some resorts and hotel offer different kinds of passive and active activities for you and your family; some offer a great variety of restaurants, or include basic meals, a la carte menus, bars and others. Resorts might have golf courses, tennis courts, gyms and other sports or fitness related facilities.

Another thing you must look for, is the amount of room space you want. Rooms can have one or more bedrooms, a fully equipped kitchen, more than one bathroom or scenic view balcony, among other alternatives. According to the accommodations you're looking for, you should check which one fits your budget better.

3- Activities.

As mentioned in the accommodations portion, selecting a resort or hotel that provides activities for its hosts is another factor to consider when choosing a place to stay. Some of these activities come as part of the package you buy initially, so there's no need to worry about an increase of your budget. Depending on the location and the resort, the activities might vary, from scuba diving, to fishing, to pool activities and many more. Since not all places hold such activities, you have to be very careful to pick the right one for you and your family.

4- Hot Spots.

A big incentive when deciding on a place to go, can be what other places can be found on the nearby area. You could choose a place that is near to an amusement park, a theme park, an ecologic reservation, and many other wondrous places. If you're lucky, and your budget permits it, you could have all of these right next to your doorstep. And since most of these spots are family oriented, you can be sure that you'll be giving your family the time of their lives. And all under your projected budget.

If you want to know who can help you with your budget, there's only one company that can help you: Global Resorts Network. Backed by a 21 year Industry Leader, Global Resorts Network is a new affiliate marketing division which recently opened in March 2007. For over two decades our partner has set the benchmark for superior customer service and quality accommodations at very attractive prices.

Disney Cruise Line

The Disney Cruise Line® continues to monitor Tropical Storm Fay very closely.

Tropical Storm Fay has stalled along the eastern coast of Florida near our homeport of Port Canaveral, and its path is uncertain at this point.

For this reason, Port Canaveral has been closed by the Port Authority and the Aug. 21, 2008 sailing of the Disney Wonder® will set sail on its 3-night itinerary from Port Everglades, in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.

Other than the departure port change, we do not anticipate any additional changes in the upcoming Disney Wonder itinerary. Transportation will be provided for Guests with transfers and those arriving by private vehicle at Port Canaveral. It is important that departing Guests park at our terminal in Port Canaveral as the ship is scheduled to return there on Sunday, Aug. 24, 2008.

The Disney Magic® is currently on a 15-night Panama Canal voyage and is scheduled to return to Port Canaveral on Monday, Sept. 1, 2008.

The safety and security of our Guests and Crew Members are always our top priority, and we monitor the weather very closely. If necessary, our Captains are always prepared to alter the ships' courses or itineraries to navigate away from inclement weather.

Here’s the thing: I have never had a desire to go on a cruise. It’s just not my bag-o-chips. Why

Here’s the thing: I have never had a desire to go on a cruise. It’s just not my bag-o-chips. Why? Well, I am not a big fan of large bodies of water. Which is strange, considering I’m a triathlete and frequently swim in large bodies of water. But I never swim more than a mile from shore. I don’t know much about cruising but I DO know that it takes you more than a mile from shore.

However, this last May Lyndsey and Ian auditioned for a the Fired Up Dance Company. They both made it. Lyndsey made the Senior Team and Ian made the youngest team, Hot Shots. We were super excited for them both. THEN…we found out that one of the team events is a Land and Sea Disney Trip with a performance and audition at WDW. My entire family was super excited.

I was nauseous.

A million thoughts ran through my head: someone is going to fall overboard…I’m going to be super sick…all you do is eat, I’ll get really fat…this is going to cost a fortune...

My family thinks I’ve lost it and Disney boxes have been arriving at a steady flow for the last few weeks. David rolls his eyes yet he is already talking about “pixie dust” ideas for the kids traveling with our dance group.

Yes, I realize I’m starting my Pre-trip Report a little early. As of this entry, we are exactly 31 weeks away from our sail date of March 22, 2009. I’m journaling this process for a couple of reasons:

1. This is, most likely, our only cruise so I want to savor every minute, including the massive preparation.
2. I want help/input/confirmation/advice in regard to the planning.
I find comfort in being an Obsessive Compulsive Planner.

We’ll be joined by several other families with the Fired Up Dance Company which should make our Land and Sea Adventure quite entertaining. Why? Because dancers are the weirdest people you’ll ever meet!

Yup, you heard me, "I QUIT!"

After three years and a bit with the organization that i grew up with, a new family came knocking. I got an opportunity that is hard to resist, still it was one of the most difficult choices i had to make.

I had an extremely good relationship with the company i was working with, i was one of the first people in my departments and helped structure the whole place. It really felt like home, i was comfortable. But like they say, you never realize your potential until you step out of your comfort zone.

It was so difficult saying good bye, i am still in contact with them all the time. (this happened during the first week of July)

Today, i started working with my new company. It is an investment company that has products all arond the world, Gulf and Europe for the time being but plans to expand in US and Asia. I am excited, they are extremely professional here, i really feel i'm working with International bankers since most of the staff worked with international banks at one point in their career.

I will be travelling quite frequently in this new role, mainly in the region. My first trip could be as soon as next week to Kuwait inshallah.

Now you might be wondering what i've been doing from the first week of July up to today. Well ...

A while back i was selected, along with 7 Bahrainis, to go on a leadership program for two weeks. So basically i spent the last 16 days between Scotland and England on this program which was out of this world. All i can say i WOW, il hamdillah that all went well.

Before the course started i was travelling with my wife around Europe; Spain, France, and Italy. We then met up with the rest of the family in an island next to mainland Spain where we spent another week.

Well this is a quick update to put you in the picture :) A lot of changes in a short period of time, i'm so excited and i can't wait to prove myself in this new organization!

This is my last post until after Labor Day because I’m going on vacation. Well, I’m not

This is my last post until after Labor Day because I'm going on vacation. Well, I'm not going on vacation. In the second of eight straight years of paying college tuition, I can't afford a vacation.

But HNTAO is going on vacation. By itself. On a cruise. Except it's pretending it's going to Vegas.

When it comes back in September, hopefully not ten pounds heavier and in need of detox, we'll have some extremely exciting news for you. No, I can't tell you now. Plus, lots of fresh and vital ways not to act old.

Meanwhile, here are some tips to get you through the rest of your summer vacation. If you think you're going to miss your quasi-daily HNTAO over the next few weeks, you can always read them one at a time, or come back every day to read all the ways ntao you haven't gotten to yet:

1.	Do not stay at one of those inns that smell like air freshener and offer an assortment of herbal teas and have little signs posted everywhere that say things like, Thank you for removing your makeup before putting your head on the pillow!

2.	If you stay at a chain motel instead of one of those inns, don’t say you have a nice room. They’re all nice. And all not-nice.

3.	Don’t rent a house and car exactly like the house and car you have at home.

4.	Don’t spend more time putting on sunscreen than you spend in the sun.

5.	Forget shopping. You already brought too much stuff in your giant suitcase.

6.	Don’t be the first one in the restaurant at breakfast. Not to mention dinner.

7.	No guided tours. In fact, no tourism. You’re a traveler. No, you’re practically a native! If you see a tourist or a tour, act appropriately scornful.

8.	Although you want to feel and act like a native, don’t go anywhere you’ve been before. Not vacationing old is all about novelty and adventure.

9.	Don’t be afraid to go somewhere you’ve never been before. They will definitely have bathrooms there plus some kind of food that doesn’t upset your stomach.

10.	Don’t overworry about the weather. Vacation like the young do. If it rains, have sex. If it’s too cold to go to the beach, have sex. Even if it’s nice outside, have sex.

11.	If you’re traveling alone and end up having sex with a stranger, don’t imagine that you’re ever going to see him or her again. But don’t feel guilty about it either. If you're traveling with your spouse and end up having sex with a stranger, you should of course feel guilty. But way not to act old, dude or dudette! You and John Edwards should totally get together.

12. When you’re back home, don’t claim that now you need another vacation. That's not just old, it's obnoxious!
