In the coil of years, you return and return to the interval when you were born one cosmic wrinkle at at time and consider its significance. A measurement of 365.25 days, a calendar date notching the progress of a life. Gazing backwards, you wonder at your youthful proclivity, and question the wisdomgained if any, o mortal Janus, squinting into the shrouded future in a futile effort to haphazard your path. Where am I going? How did I get here? Why, of all these days, do I have to think this today?

When I was a child I used to wake up the morning of October 9 and jump out of bed with excitement. I knew that there were toys coming later in the day, and I was eager to get to them.

That is no longer the case. This morning when I woke up I didn't realize what day it was. In fact, the only reason I remembered that it was my birthday (that early in the morning at least - I would have remembered later) is because my dad sent me a "HAPPY BIRTHDAY!" text.

Needless to say, I'm thinking about the journey of life today. I've now been alive for two decades - a score, if you prefer. (To be technical, I'm writing this at 9 a.m. and I wasn't born until around 10:35 p.m., but I think that would be ridiculous as far as splitting hairs goes.) I never thought I would make it to this age. You know, when you're young you often don't think past the cartoon you're watching, the cookie you're eating or the game you're playing. And so life sneaks up on you. You forget that time passes, until it has passed.

That's what they say, anyway. I'm determined not to let time pass me by without my acknowledgement. So I'm taking this moment to re-evaluate.

The biggest question is, "Do you enjoy your life as it is today?"

Yes. And I find that, when I'm not, it's because of attitude. I went through a spell at the paper where I hated my job and seriously considered jumping ship. But now I'm finding that I love my job. There's so much to do, and I have fun doing it.

I've learned it's about attitude and how you choose to look at life.

The second question is, "Do you have any regrets?"

Probably, but they are in the past - which is the best place for regrets. I have a unique philosophy about what regrets are for. I believe that they are great, beautiful gifts from God while simultaneously being terrible, ugly burdens from Lucifer. This is because we can choose (attitude). We can choose to learn from regret so we know how to handle a situation in the future. Or we can choose to let it eat us from the inside out.

I consider regret a gift.

The last question is, "Are you excited about where you are going?"

I'm engaged. Of course I'm excited about my future. And I don't know what my career path looks like, but I'm excited about it. I'm excited to find out.

Verdict: The last 20 years were amazing. I hope (literally) for about 100 more to live this journey.

I visited Zahirah's house yesterday after a decade long absence, since late mother's passing. It was a opportunity not to be missed, it was a chance to salam her mother's hands. Could see wide smiles being carved on their faces, nothing surprising though.

Double standards, girls that I date whom my late mother does not share connection with the girl's mother; support from my family members and father would be low for the relationship.

Girls that I date whom my late mother shares connection with the girl's mother; support from my family members and father would be exceptionally high. The support would be to the extend that they would approve a marriage between the girl and myself.

What exactly happened yesterday?

Even after ten years, the memory hasn't fade and people still favor for me. Especially Zahirah and Diyanah's mom, it has caused some jealousy and fury but there's nothing to worry about. They publicly in front of everyone and myself, declared without a doubt that they wish me to be their son-in-law. That's where I am torn apart, I can see Ira's and Yana's eye gleeming after that statement was made by their mom.

I'm sure they are elated but I'm not, I've just been placed in a tight spot. The main question right now is, which girl do I choose? It was my late mother's promised to their mothers that I would marry one of them and they still hold on to that promise. I'm expected to fulfill it, even my family members expect it to be fulfilled especially my dad.

This question has been running on my mind since I left the house:-

Zahirah or Diyanah?

Zahirah or Diyanah?

Zahirah or Diyanah?

Zahirah or Diyanah?

Zahirah or Diyanah?

My dad is not in favour of me dating any other girl besides the either of them. It's not going to be easy a decision, because this would determine who I would be marrying in future.

I would take off some time...think about it.

Till then...

InfoWorld pays tribute to the humble Windows bug -- ground zero for several of the most colossal security meltdowns IT has ever endured. From share-level password flaws, to Web server traversal vulnerabilities, to overflow after overflow, the past decade of Windows flaws and patches and exploits has given IT one hot cup of hell after another -- all while giving rise to entire industries built around protecting users from malware authors who themselves have matured their practices to juvenile pranks to moneymaking criminal enterprises. Microsoft has been noted as the fastest vendor to patch OS flaws, to be sure, but the hits keep on coming. Perhaps it is high time for another OS vulnerability scorecard.

This morning a awoke a year older, marking another decade of my life passing by.
I found that in 10 years I can:

Still crap. Check

Still need coffee. Check.

Still have a full head of hair, just a differant color. Check

Fit into a size 5. Check.

Still no need to eat breakfast. Check.

Still have perky breasts. Check.

Still remember my name. Check.

Damn. I was hoping for seeing some clues of "change" in my life. There's still books on my shelves, canvases unfinished, and the habit of cleaning my kitchen spotless before I walk out the door.

Maybe today I will leave a cup in the sink instead..:)

Typical sportswear garments include shorts, tracksuits, T-shirts, polo shirts, jerseys, and sweatpan

Typical sportswear garments include shorts, tracksuits, T-shirts, polo shirts, jerseys, and sweatpants. Sportswear is also often worn as casual clothing and is often quite fashionable.

Baseball sportswear is functional clothing; it soaks up your sweat, provides full range of motion, and look fashionables too. The history of baseball sportswear over the past century shows the advances made in fabrics and the understanding of biomechanics. These changes also provide a glimpse of changes in fashion as a whole. At beginning of the 19th century society was very conservative; men's wear included tailored suits with bowties, while women's dresses were floor-length and incredibly tight at the waist. Such attire was hardly appropriate for sports, but the earliest athletes wore modest styles. Nineteenth century players sported long sleeveless t-shirts, baggy breeches that came below the knee, ankle socks, and low-top, inflexible leather shoes.

By the 1920s, fashions on and off the playing field became much less conservative. Baseball sportswear now included medium-length cotton shorts; cotton t-shirts with cap sleeves, and tight leather booties. At the end of World War II, athletes began to show some skin. Uniforms from the late 1940s comprised extremely short cotton shorts, thin-strap cotton tank tops, ankle socks, and shoes similar to low-top Converse. Then in the 1960s synthetic fabrics became the norm and the development of the modern baseball sportswear uniform took place. The baseball sportswear team uniform is always changing, but the basic materials haven't changed since the 60's. The 1980's brought some color changes. The changes in color were slight, but they ranged from lights to darks, the neutrality or a softer tone. The last decade or so has seen another change in baseball sportswear; jerseys tend to hang looser, shorts also hang low. In the next decade, who knows what to expect- as technology changes new looks will now be possible. Even now you have the ability to design your own baseball sportswear uniform. We all have different styles, whether we are dressing to impress or dressing to make a statement, there is always a rhyme or reason behind what clothes we wear. Baseball sportswear can range from the color, fit, comfort level or simply the style and outside appearance of the material. Fashion has became a foundation of opportunity, fame and fortune for many designers, fans and buyers. Dressing by season and whether has become a trademark amongst the most fashion sensitive individuals and will continue to play importance in the fashion world in the future.

Wittenberg, the city where Martin Luther famously nailed his 95 theses to the door of the Schlosskirche, launched a decade of events this weekend to celebrate the German reformer who forever changed the face of Christianity.

Luther Decade was opened on Saturday with a re-enactment of Luther's arrival in the city, where he came in 1508 to continue his theological studies.

A church service will be held on Sunday with a sermon delivered by the president of the Lutheran World Federation, Mark Hanson.

As part of Luther Decade, concerts, exhibitions and lectures will be among the events taking place in the years leading up to 2017, the 500th anniversary of the Lutheran Reformation.

In an interview with German newspaper, Frankfurter Allgemeine, the head of the Vatican's Pontifical Council for Promoting Christian Unity, Cardinal Walter Kasper said that Catholics should read Luther's Bible commentaries and "hymns full of spiritual power".

He also said that Protestantism would do well to return to the faith of Martin Luther, who he said "would have been deeply averse to all of today's liberal tendencies", according to Ecumenical News International.

The launch of Luther Decade comes just ahead of the opening of the international Calvin Year, or 'Calvin 09', by the World Alliance of Reformed Churches and the Federation of Swiss Protestant Churches in Geneva on 2 November 2008.

It is an obvious fact that when these people who cut on health spending become ill, they're going to have to pay even more in health care. These people probably know this. Why then, do they still cut on health care spending? The pocketbook of the average American is certainly empty, indeed..... (mine, too lol

The Playstation 4 won't feature Blu-ray.

The Playstation 4 should be made available in the next three to five years. During that time, Sony will need to work on getting Blu-ray into more homes and try to supplant DVD as the leader in the media space.

But how will it do that? The main advantage DVD still enjoys is that it's mobile and ubiquitous.

It took DVD almost a decade to reach that kind of saturation and Blu-ray simply doesn't have that much time. With companies like Apple, Amazon, Netflix, and others quickly moving towards a home environment that doesn't require a disc, but rather a download or streaming service, Blu-ray can't compete.

It's becoming easier and easier to stream movies from your computer to your HDTV. A Roku Netflix box means Blu-ray isn't even needed anymore, and cable companies offer VOD service for those that don't feel like popping a DVD into the player. And as broadband speeds increase making HD downloads more relevant, Blu-ray finds itself squeezed out by the past and the future.

And all the while, Sony is left to make the decision of whether or not it wants to tie its next video game console to an irrelevant format.

Seriously people, there is no limit for stupidity in the world. the moment u figure out any gurl/guy and wonder, could he/she be the dumbest person on the planet??? and Boom… u get to see another with dumbness unsurpassed. so, lets stop worrying about them. there are many more dumb people to worry about them. Now, coming to the point, you might be wondering, what in the world does the title “double decade” indicate?? come on folks, why do you always try to figure out a meaning in the title? just tell me, what was the role of an ancient secret society “alchemist” who tried to make gold out of ordinary elements, played in the paulo coelho’s fiction novel “The Alchemist” ?? See.. you shouldn’t be applying your overrated logic everywhere.. there are some titles which dont have any meaning in them.. but yes, the title “double decade” got a very deeep meaning hidden in itself… and the logic is…. TanTadaaaa… I am gonna turn 20 this month, and i have completed two decades of my life.. phew.. that was tough..;)

Yes, i have seen it all. i have been there during both the iraq wars, witnessed WTC attack [not literally though], have seen many unfulfilled prophecies of nostradamus go true, have seen india celebrating 50 years of fruitless independance and many more. And it did make me exclaim, “Man!!! what a life”.

So, talking about life, every person in this world learns. we learn many thing from our experiences [and a very li'l from our text books]. even i did learn quite a few things.. ahem.. no..actually many things. and i decided one fine day, why not formulate all my gyaan into a book.

so i started writing articles in my book, and here i present 12 of my many observations in the past 2 decades. But, before presenting my articles, i would like to mention that all the following observations and one liners are true to my own experiences, and any resemblance with any other person’s experiences shouldn’e be seen as a surprise. So, here i go:

Article 73: Love shows you heaven, and even in heaven, we just tend to see the forbidden fruit.

Article 54: If you know 956 odd people, the 957th person you meet will be different. If he resembles any of those 956 people, then he for sure is pretending.

Article 07: You start with excitement, continue as a formality, and end with dissappointment.

Article 65: Failure is the stepping stone of success, success is the foundation stone to over confidence.

Article 97 [corollary article 07]: The final result of your plan is inversely proportional to your initial expectations.

Article 39: Science has answers to almost all the questions in the world, except for all the “Why’s”

Article 55: (mis)interpretation of Murphy’s first law that “if anything can go wrong, it will” is that- Diesel can never be expensive than petrol. but it will, when YOU buy a diesel car.

Article 13: Where logic prevails, emotions become Black holes. They suck up your entire logic.

Either I have feelings and issues related to a past life OR I really am that old fashioned. My frien

Either I have feelings and issues related to a past life OR I really am that old fashioned. My friends don't understand why I stay at home with Abby while Nick earns all the money. I was bought up in the 1980's where there was a huge push to send mothers back to work after having a baby- not the old-fashioned ways of staying at home and raising the kids yourself. I on the other hand, LOVE LOVE LOVE being a stay-at-home Mom and I get to do lots of cool stuff with Abby while interacting with her and teaching her stuff. It feels a little weird when she goes to preschool because I'm so used to having her around the house with me, helping me with stuff. I'll even go as far as saying I would love to home school Abby, BUT I am not a teacher and I really don't have that much patience half the time. Teaching Sunday School this fall will be a huge test for me, I hope I can do it.

But it's not just being a stay at home Mom that makes me think I'm in the wrong decade. I love to cook, I love to clean and keep house (even if I don't do a very good job of it half the time!). I love all the stuff that's been outlawed over the years (like playground games and equipment) and I love spending time with my family-especially my husband. Sure, we fight a lot and we make each other see red- but I wouldn't be myself if I wasn't with him. We complete each other, and I know that sounds cheesy but it's true. If we didn't fight it wouldn't be normal, and sometimes it's good to fight because then it helps you to learn from your mistakes.

These days, people don't think anything wrong of divorce or not spending much time with your kids- but our family isn't like that. We love each other and we drive each other crazy sometimes, but that's what families are supposed to do :)

Anyone who has been paying attention to the US voting scene over the last few years will have heard of Diebold, the manufacturer of controversial digital voting systems which recently renamed itself to Premier. Well, the company has addressed that controversy – with an admission that the machines are faulty.

Techdirt noticed the admission from the company, the content of which won't surprise critics of the electronic voting machine manufacturer, on the Washington Post website. It seems that machines used in thirty-four US states contain a “programming error” which causes the devices to discount valid votes: as far as you're aware the vote went fine, but your particular choice never makes it to the official record. Something of a problem in a voting machine, really.

Diebold/Premier has also admitted that not only does this rather serious glitch exist, but it can be traced back in the affected machines for more than a decade – which brings into question over ten years of votes taken via the machines.

Diebold, as it was then known, became famous for refusing researchers access to its machines to verify their operations, insisting that such independent testing was unnecessary as the systems were perfectly designed so as not to make errors. Clearly, this wasn't true – and still isn't. While the problem will be fixed in the near future, until such time as Diebold/Premier makes its machines and source code available for thorough analysis by disinterested third parties I can't imagine ever trusting a closed digital system to record my votes correctly.

Would you trust a voting machine from a company with Diebold's track record, or would you rather stick with the 'tick the box next to the candidate and stick the paper in a box' method of voting? Share your thoughts over in the forums.

Microsoft is leading Google with a gap of a decade.
"Google had not invested enough to build privacy into its products. Microsoft has over 40 full-time people invested in privacy and over 400 part-time people. Google hasn't--at least from what I read about them--evolved to that."

"We think about privacy as part of the core design...We have thought about how to design privacy into the product, as opposed to how to react to the negative impressions," he commented.

My time slip album from 1998 to 2008.

It's an album filled with embarrassment, cuteness and many nostalgic memories!

So let's reverse time. All the way back to 1998. Ten Years Ago, I looked like...

1998 - Spring

This! When my hair was still curly and had round-shape glasses. As a 4-year old, I loved rain! I'd take an umbrella out and jump in lots of puddles! :D

1999 - Autumn

My Halloween costume when I was in Kindergarten: Minnie Mouse! I think I did this costume twice though...

1999 - Winter

Personally, I loved that sweatshirt! And I still do! But I think I gave it away... :(

2000 - Spring

This picture was before I went to my 6th birthday party. This is actually a picture of the family room before it was remodeled in '02! :D

2001 - Winter

Me and my cat Freddie! He was still a kitten at that time. When I looked at this picture, I couldn't believe that he was THAT small! Nyaaan~ :3
