“Entonces Jesús dijo a sus discípulos: Si alguno quiere venir en pos de mí, niéguese a sí mismo, y tome su cruz, y sígame”. Mateo 16:24.

El libre albedrío, es propio en la naturaleza y gobierno divino.

Por el contrario, la imposición, dominio y obligatoriedad, contradicen su carácter y los principios de su administración.

Si deseamos ser guiados, dirigidos, enseñados o ser justificados, debemos en primer lugar estar de acuerdo, aceptarlo, de lo contrario, él no puede salvarnos.

Lo que el Señor logra en nosotros es activar nuestra voluntad que ha estado sometida por el mal, opacada, atrofiada y degenerada.

Es el Espíritu Santo, quien la despierta, reanima, aviva para apreciar lo mejor.

El requisito básico para el ingreso a la ciudad celestial es la armonía completa con los mandamientos de Dios.

Aunque para cualquier hombre, es imposible cumplirlos, la deidad ha instrumentado lograrlo por sustitución, intercesión y garante, en Jesús.

Como resultado, los que aceptan el plan, se someten al poder divino, estando de acuerdo aun como se enseña en la oración modelo… hágase tu voluntad.

Desde entonces será para el creyente un privilegio obedecer fielmente a los mandatos divinos, hacer su voluntad, seguir el bien, será rico en buenas obras (1 Timoteo 6:18).

Pero debemos aprender humildemente a suplicar al cielo, pedir al Señor, su gracia, perdón y salvación.

También su ayuda cuando en el camino cristiano es necesario para cualquier eventualidad, prueba o tentación que atravieses.

El Señor se ha propuesto estar a tu servicio… maravilloso, aprovéchalo, es lo mejor.

Amén.

We have had a good run. I have had a good run. But i need a new start. A new format, a new stradegy, and a new outlook on what i am going to do with this blogging thing.

I will continue to write about the same things. But perhaps more often. More efficiently, and more clearly. I will broaden the horizons as well.

I hope my readers, like Demosthenes, will follow me to my new site, and new ones will discover it as well.

The site is now the title, which is much easier and is a much more credible title:

Cuando Jesús estuvo en la tierra, Juan lo llamó “la luz”, pero es triste notar que “la luz” ha sido rechazada aún entre los suyos.

Él vino a iluminar al mundo sumergido en las tinieblas del pecado por medio de su brillante justicia, pero muchos prefirieron permanecer en la fría y aterradora atmósfera de la transgresión.

Aún nosotros hoy tenemos una elección… seguir nuestro viejo estilo de vida, permanecer como somos, o transformarnos en una nueva criatura, nacer de nuevo y vivir realmente.

“Levántate, resplandece; porque ha venido tu luz, y la gloria de Jehová ha nacido sobre ti”. Isaías 60:1.

¿Quieres brillar en el medio de las tinieblas?

¿Has pensado alguna vez en el gran privilegio que tienes de conocer el maravilloso mensaje de redención?

¿Qué haces para que no sea en vano?

¿Qué haces para llevarlo a los que están todavía en las tinieblas?

These school holidays just gone, the kids and I participated in a school holiday program run by our church. (I posted about it over here.)

They had heaps of fun and finished with a bang on the last day with face painting. Aren't they beautiful?

The other day D stuck a few large pieces of paper on the wall, grabbed some markers and started to draw. Of course the kids joined in, (including R1, which resulted in more pen marks on the walls that on the paper) and this is E5's work. She worked away at it quietly.

She has paid attention to detail...I have curly long hair, Dad is tall with short hair, B3 has spiky hair, R1 is in my arms with no hair at all, and she has drawn herself with long hair. I love our tummies! And that we are all holding hands.

Here's another free printable worksheet we used when E5 was learning to count to 100. (She's still mastering it!) It can be found here.

You can't tell in the picture, but she had to trace the words and numerals in the bottom line.

To help E5 learn how to write her letters, we have used these free worksheets.You can make your own worksheets and there are a couple of fonts to choose from. We used the D'Nealian font because it has joining tails, which I want E5 to use so that it's easier to transition to cursive. Each page has capital and lower case and starts with dotted lines for the child to trace. Because you can determine the text on the page, it's also easy to teach them to write their name too.

This is E5's work from March.

Hijo de padre ecuatoguineano y madre extremeña, este MC destaca por la profunda crítica social que lleva a cabo en sus temas. Pertenece a la crew W.F.N., que significa Wild For da Night (Salvajes para la noche), nombre tomado de la canción del mismo nombre de Busta Rhymes.

Entre sus trabajos encontramos el proyecto 995 (volúmenes I y II) en colaboración con otros raperos españoles, y ya en solitario "Mi turno", "El nivel sube", "Sólo para adultos", "Cuando Hay Obstáculos..." y "...Jamás Intentes Negarlo" (las iniciales de estos dos últimos forman el apodo Chojin con el que el rapero se da a conocer). Tras estos 7 discos, el Chojin volvió a publicar una maqueta, "Rap por placer", de distribución gratuita vía internet.

Hi folks, d'oh, I haven't even started making pillows. This post is about the sweetest movie I've seen this year: Wall-e. I laughed out loud several times and teared up at the sad moments. I loved this movie! My husband loved it too! Everyone ought to give the little guy a shot.

They have grown so much since this pix was taken a few weeks ago. I think Enzo has hit a growth spurt because the boy can't stop eating. He looks like a ginormous baby. Tall and big but still very much a baby.

Elicia's tiny feet and tiny legs are busting outta her clothes! She's still skinny but getting super long! All her jeans are capri's now, shorts are way too short. Her feet are so small compared to Enzo, his shoes are 2 sizes bigger than hers!

One of E5's friends broke his leg eariler in the year. She made him this card which is so sweet. You can see in her picture the cast on his leg (complete with graffiti) and her arms around him. This is from April.
