Salve.

Pensando em retrospecto todas as miniaturas que pintei recentemente não são minhas. Não me entenda mal. Não estou reclamando ou lamentando aqui. O faço por mera constatação.

Sempre gostei de presentear os amigos e uma das formas por mim encontrada para demonstrar meu apreço por eles é justamente pintando miniaturas ofertando as mesmas, ou tão somente a pintura, como presente.

Foram muitas ao longo do tempo. Acho que não me lembro de todas. Um Mad Doc Grotsnik pintado a muito tempo para o Tiago; Um porta estandarte da guarda imperial pintado para o Luis Carlos; inúmeros Space Wolves pintados para o Fábio; um Inquisidor e um pégasus para o Marcos; um Ork para o Silvio; o Looted Rhino do artigo anterior para o Antônio Jorge e hoje, o motivo deste post, um Comissário da Guarda Imperial e ninguém menos que o comandante do Farsight Enclave: O’Shovah (não Mauricio eu não me esqueci do seu elfo. Sim eu vou pinta-lo em breve).

O Valter é um dos inúmeros amigos que fiz jogando Warhammer 40.000. Adepto do “Greater Good” ele foi contra todos os conselhos e insistiu em usar um personagem pouco utilizado por outros jogadores que tem exércitos dos TAU. Essa determinação em usar o O’Shovah merecia ser recompensada de alguma maneira, motivo pelo qual resolvi pintar a miniatura pra ele. Como bônus pintei também um dos novos comissários da GW.

Any newcomer to this blog might think that I have no army of my own. I do paint a lot of models for others, not for cash as some may believe. I do them as gifts.

Over the years I’ve painted tons of models for friends of mine like the ork Looted Wagon/Rhino from the previous post and on today’s post I bring forward pictures of the last two models I’ve churned out. Models for a friend as usual. Hope he likes them.

Bene se vi ritrovate nella situazione sopra descritta (o qualcosa del genere) siete nel posto giusto, per aggiungere il supporto alle chiamate audio per aMsn dovete installare alcune dipendenze prima di compilarlo.

Installatele tutte e ricompilate aMsn con la solita procedura

make clean

./configure

make

sudo make install

Per chi non avesse i sorgenti da compilare deve dare questo comando:

svn co https://amsn.svn.sourceforge.net/svnroot/amsn/trunk/amsn amsn

Entrare poi nella directory appena scaricata (amsn) e seguire i passi sopra descritti.

N:B: ATTENZIONE! Assicuratevi dopo il comando ./configure che la libreria FARSIGHT sia stata riconosciuta, per rendervene conto alal fine dell'output di ./configure dovreste trovare alal voce FARSIGHT la parola "yes"... niente di + semplice.... :P

What am I talking about? I'm talking about the Game Master. I'm talking about the Cheetah Men. I'm talking about music so awesomely bad, that Japanese people are remixing it. That is never a good sign.

So what did the public do to deserve Action 52? I can tell you that not a single person thought it was any good. Maybe the programmer was traumatized as a child and wanted to torture the parents who seem to have a talent for choosing the worst games around the holiday season.

More likely, it was a pair of guys that had no idea what they were getting into. They formed Active Enterprises (in the Bahamas, me thinks tax dodging) and duped a bunch of investors into their "$4 per game" spiel when it came to Action 52. And they released it. One huge multicart + a comic book + the promise of future merchandise. The release thankfully went mostly unnoticed by gamers. Let's face it, Action 52 has become popular in the new century, but before it was really an unknown.

Did poor sales and poor quality stop Active? Well, eventually. But not before they could release a sequel to Cheetahmen! Wow, they really wanted to start that up. Apparently they trademarked the name, hoping to make these cheetah guys as popular as TMNT. Fat chance. Still, you have to admire their ambition. If they actually had the skill to pull it off, who knows what could have been done?

Cheetahmen 2 didn't even make it out of the warehouse (thanks Sean Roche) before Active started promising Cheetahmen 3 on their new vaporware: The Action Game Master. Finally, God saw fit to smote them into their place and save us from future headache. They were bought out, Vince Perri left the company, and that was the end of it.
Well okay, no. They did outsource Action 52 for the Genesis to another company that is still going strong today. Even they couldn't save the idea, but they did a much better job. And yes, I know the Genesis version looks like it sucks. Aren't you happy I'm not linking you the rom for the NES version? Consider that generosity my Christmas gift to you.
