Ferrari Challenge si aggiorna!

A settembre uscirà una corposa patch per Ferrari Challange che aggiungerà i tanto agognati trofei e, tra le nuove funzionalità, la possibilità di scattare foto salvandole sul proprio disco fisso, nonchè la possibilità di ascoltare la musica di nostro gradimento tra quella presente nella nostra ps3. Se questo non dovesse bastarvi sappiate che sarà aggiorato anche il motore grafico per consolidare il framerate!

Ferrari Challenge DLC On Its Way

System 3 has told Eurogamer that downloadable content for Ferrari Challenge on PS3 will be released "in the next month".

The publisher is also planning to issue a patch for the game to fix problems with the online modes, which aren't working properly for some people. We were told to expect something "in the next couple of weeks" as any update has to work its way through Sony's certification process.

Speaking on AVForums, a member of the development team going by 'Alanok' said: "We are aware of the problem and its being fixed right now.

"It's not going to be an overnight thing and it will need to be tested again so we don't get the same situation, it will then be sent to Sony for approval. Please bear with us it is being looked into."

On the subject of downloadables, he added: "As for DLC the first pack will shortly be released, I think its one track and five new cars some of which are beauties."

System 3 aims to release downloadable content monthly until Ferrari Challenge is home to every single Ferrari ever made.

We should have more detailed information on the downloadable stuff in the near future, and from what we've heard through the oily grapevine the first track will be an old favourite of racing game fans.

Ferrari Challenge DLC is on its way, according to 'Alanok' a member of the Development Team, also confirmation in the article that a patch is due out shortly from System3 to fix the online crash problem when hosting multiplayer games on the PS3.

Eutechnyx Respond to Ferrari Challenge Multiplayer Freeze

The Official Repsonse just recieved from Eutechnyx, regarding Ferrari Challenge crashing when hosting Mulitplayer Games over PSN. I contacted them earlier today, and recieved a reply very quickly, read the reply after the jump.

Thank you for your email and for bringing this to our attention.

We are aware of this issue with the online version of Ferrari Challenge and are currently taking immediate steps to rectify the problem.

We are hoping to have a solution available shortly which will be made available by a downloadable update. In the meanwhile we would like to thank you for your patience.

Nice to see that they are aware of the issues that people are having and that a fix is in the works, they didnt give a timescale but i would imagine it shouldnt be too long before its fixed.

Quite a serious issue, so i expect them to hurry this out.

Ferrari Challenge

After a night of having many issues with Ferrari Challenge crashing my PlayStation 3. I finally decided to send the developers an e-mail, politely outlining my gripes with the Multiplayer side of the game, and asking them to look into it.

I still dont know for certain if this is Ferrari Challenge issue on its own, or if Firmware 2.40 is playing its own little part in this sham.

But what i do know is that when anybody joins an online game i create in Ferrari Challenge, the game crashes, locks up my PlayStation 3, a reboot is required and i have to reconfigure my display settings.

Hopefully i will get a response sometime next week. When and if i do, i will post the full email here.

Ferrari 430 Challenge - Paul Ricard [Trofeo Pirelli]

The home race from Ange Barde and Nicolas Misslin, the 2007 Coppa Shell champion Lloyd La Marca and championship contenders Bjorn Grossmann, Max Blandardi and Philipp Baron are the ingredients for a spectacular racing event.

Ange Barde ( 2 ) who won here last year the first race had to start from 7th place on grid.
A nearly mission impossible, but not for Ange.

On the pole its another French driver, Nicolas Misslin.

With holding the lead in the first part of the race Misslin ( 5 ) was forced to give up with gearbox problems.

Max Blancardi ( 3 ) took the lead and for a moment it looked like he should win the race. Ange Barde had different thoughts and in the final stages of the race he took the lead.

Race 2 and its Bjorn Grossmann on the pole position. After some bad luck in the previous races he is back in form.

Philipp Baron ( 9 ) had good hopes for a podium place at end of race 2.

Bjorn Grossmann ( 4 ) in the lead from start to finish.

Alexey Vasiliev ( 8 ) couldn't continue after a collision in the early stages of the race.

Lloyd La Marca ( 77 ) found out there is a very strong competition in the Trofeo Pirelli. He finished 11th.

Philipp Baron's thoughts became reality and he finished 3rd.

Bjorn Grossmann could use the victory and he is back in the race for the championship.
