“A Sort of Song”

by William Carlos Williams

"Let the snake wait under
his weed
and the writing
be of words, slow and quick, sharp
to strike, quiet to wait,
sleepless."

The first stanza in this poem is about how words and thoughts can just come to you, you don't have to simply think about what to write about. These thoughts and ideas resemble a snake waiting and when the momment comes, thoughts and ideas come flowing out. "To strike, quiet to wait, sleepless." Thoughts are always running through our heads. In fact, we only use 10% of our brains cognitive abilities to solve problems and think. The 90% that is left is our unconscious thoughts and decisions which is pretty neat if you think about it.

"—through metaphor to reconcile
the people and the stones.
Compose. (No ideas
but in things) Invent!
Saxifrage is my flower that splits
the rocks."

And in this last stanza, he talks about how you should just compose your thoughts and ideas to metaphors. it's an ode to writing. Invent your ideas and you will grow as a writer. Lastly, however, I just love and enjoyed how he describes words and puts them together. He is one of my favorite writers. He just has a talent for describing things in such a manner.

I also found interesting how he broke up the lines and used many commas, and not many periods. and how in the last stanza he broke up part of the poem as if it was HIS own thought but it flowed together with the poem.

Not. Hee. Sorry, it's one in the morning. Though I worked the last two nights so my sleeping rhythm is haywire, and saying that it's sometime in the night really means nothing. Zenzen, hoo.

Oscar is fecking harassing me again, asking for the millionth time, "When r u inviting me to ur flat?"

WELL FUCKING NEVER.

No, really. I don't want him here. And it's rude to go and pester someone about something like that! And this guy, he seriously can not take a hint. I suspect that he would even understand a slap to the face if it came to that.

I watched some Japanese movies today, namely Sweet Rain and Virgin Snow. I liked Sweet Rain, though it confused me for a bit. First I was reaally confused, then I thought that the movie was kind of like short stories with this shinigami, but then I understood that the whole movie was really about a certain woman, her life, and the things that happened because of her life.

Virgin Snow was about a Korean guy moving to Japan for a while and meeting a girl. Then they get together and beat the language barrier with the power of love. It was a nice movie too, very sweet, even if I know I sound sarcastic here. :j

Now I'm going to watch Damekko Doubutsu anime! I wanted to watch it ages ago, but couldn't find any torrents.. but it's on Crunchyroll, yay!

Danko Jones becomes Tanko-Joonas!

What I meant to say, is that I'll continue this rambling here, since it was technically on Sunday that I wrote this and it still is.

I completed watching Damekko Doubutsu! There was 26 episodes, all 5 minutes long, the OP included. Was that the cutest anime ever or what? Especially the cigarette-smoking little bunny, bullying the feminine wolf (who should really be usagi himself) and the poor megane-hawk (with an unrequited love). The OP song's lyrics were awesome, I burst out laughing while seeing it the first time.

I also revised Zombie Loan, and actually watched two episodes of it whom I hadn't seen before! I didn't know it wasn't complete (the first season, I don't know if there's going to be a second season), when I watched it the first time. Hoo.

I'm fed up with this day's uselessness. I've done nothing! Feeling so guilty. Those stupid nightshifts really messed up everything, I feel so tired and drained. And hungry, since I have no food, but I don't have the energy to go to a shop either... So I'm enduring by drinking tea and hot cocoa. Maybe I'll resort to cat food later on. Anyway, I'm about to start watching Sekirei, I'm going to see what it's all about.

Ja neeee 8D

So over at BenGallagher.com, Ben posted an interesting article on who the registered owner of the St Stephen the Greatofficial website domain - ststephentrust.org.uk - was registered to and was trading as. Actually its an interesting and funny article - I found it quite amusing how he puts forward an amusing and hypothetical view of Mark Brewer, that Lawyer from Houston who is a Very Private Man, summoning up 40 dead martyr guys and having a meeting at which they agree to registering the domain name. It really is an amusing article.

However given all that I thought that I would bring this to you all as it's entirely possible that this is the more accurate lot who have registered the site and own the domain!

http://40martyrs.org/joomla/index.php

This is a nice new and large church (or so it looks from the pics and plans) based out in Sugar Land, Texas - ain't that sweet! - Sugar Land by the way is a Suburb of Houston for those who aren't US situated.

So the question, given they are listed as the registrant and it therefore would seem to say that St Stephen the Great is part of their trading endeavours, is how are they connected to the UK regsitered charity, and how come their regsitered address is that of Mr Mark Brewer's houston Law offices, Brewer & Pritchard - BP Law? and not their own Sugar Land address?

Is this yet another charity registered through these offices, rather like the Orthodox Mission Fund of Houston, St Stephen The Great or SSG LLC? Is it one of Mark Brewer's projects for the mission and work of the Orthodox community? or is the 40 Holy Martyrs Church a client of Brewer & Pritchard, PC. directly and therefore the registrants address is the legal law offices of bplaw.com? One assumes they know they have been linked to another charity and if so one wonders what are their thoughts at a time when the said charity they are linked to through this domain registration is going through Bankruptcy proceedings and all the other tribunals and issues that are linked with them in the UK. Intersting isn't it - Perhaps someone from the church or one of the other parties would like to clarify things and give an official statement.

I will of course post anything that is sent to me onto this blog.

When the ideas start flowing, they REALLY start flowing. We are working on the branding for a new venture that we are forming and the ideas are ripe and ready for picking. I love how much fun and how exciting it is to create with others. I love that I work in an industry with limitless potential and that I am quickly moving to the top to play with the big dogs. It is amazing how merely focusing on something for any period of time, I mean really focusing, will bring what you desire, right to your doorstep.

I have been enjoying many delicious foods, lately and was pleased to find that they have left me feeling healthy, thin and trim. It is fun knowing that you can eat whatever you want and never gain a pound. Not only do I feel and look healthier, but my skin looks more clear and full of life. And it should, I am having the time of my life with every project and every activity I take part in.

I have worked out a program with my employees that makes all of our work very efficient and streamlined. I have a great team working for me and take pride in the work they do and create on a daily basis. They are hard workers, but we all have fun and that's what it's all about. I am a fair boss and treat them well because I know in turn, they will do the same for me. All of our clients are happy and we are picking up more business every single day. It is good to always be attracting new business and projects that are not only lucrative, but a fun creative expression.

I have been selected as a contributor for a pretty large blog site that is a pool of industry experts, all reporting the moves of their markets. I am thrilled and have already decided on a great first article. I know that the ideas for this article will come quickly to me and that the piece will be both controversial, enlightening and widely talked about. I want this piece to give me a great deal of respect and raise the awareness of my brand throughout the industry. I know that it will happen this way and I am so grateful for the opportunity.

I love being happy and knowing that whatever I desire can be mine, merely by thinking about it. I am constantly attracting wonderful people into my life and I am thankful for the chance to co-create with them. I can feel that the next few days are going to be big steps in making my dreams come alive with even greater force than they already have been. I know that the people I meet in the next few days are going to become great friends, colleagues and confidants. I take joy in the fact that my business is taking off and that everything that needs to happen is just falling into place. There is no reason for me to go to a great deal of preparation because I know that all of these things are meant to be. I am excited.

Ideas for my new book are running all around in my head and I am glad to know that they are quickly organizing themselves. Now, all I have to do is get them onto the page. It will be fun to write a book that is smart, humorous and thought-provoking. I am looking forward to getting started soon.

I love you. I'm sorry. Please forgive me. Thank you. ;)

Ahhhh Fridays that turn to Saturdays.

While my soul screams at the horrible injustice that the absense of Sword of the Stranger fanfiction definitely is, it also sings praise to the fact that Saara ate the Bee-popsicle instead of the Daim ice cream.

Ah, now that I still remember; please pay no mind to the time that this post was typed out. Also, nevermind that I have work today. And uh, I have yet to go to sleep. Haha. Eeh. I somehow blame Hanski, my co-worker for this. And Nina & Lare also. That was a weird conversation I had with them - apparently my msn icon describes me well - so says my dear sister - however, in my icon there is a piece of bread with jam on it. Or rather the jam is underneath since the bread has dropped to the floor. I am a fallen jam bread that topped over? Sure. What else. Ducks are absolutely better than chickens. And something unclear about dogs.

Some light is peaking into my work-filled world - a trip to Puuhamaa is closing in. And I suppose I should start packing my stuff soon, and leave Tampere behind. Somehow I feel like something has come to an end, and a new beginning is ahead of me. I must admit I'm very eager, but I'm also reluctant. Time, my everlasting, hated measure and enemy, has done it once again. It seems it always takes more from me when it goes, and gives much less when it comes. I do hope it's different now.

Bummers, lost my will to write. Better this way I guess. Now sleep calls me!

Many prophetic scholars agree that the massive military conflict of Ezekiel 38 & 39 has not yet

Many prophetic scholars agree that the massive military conflict of Ezekiel 38 & 39 has not yet occurred in Israel's history. I won't go into all the theological reasons for this belief, but I wholeheartedly agree. There are several major statements in the text that indicate a definite "End Times" context and that preclude any explanation prior to 1948.

I believe EVERY person interested in prophecy should read Ezekiel 37-40 with MUCH interest. The book foretells of

1) The miraculous WORLD WIDE restoration of Israel

2) A terrible military attack by "Gog" "Magog" "the prince of Rosh, Meshech and Tubal" "Persia" "Ethiopia" "Put" "Beth-Togarmah" and many other peoples

3) A MIRACULOUS salvation from this terrible military attack by an ACT of God that can only be viewed as CATASTROPHIC

4) And finally a NEW glorious temple with the RIVER of life flowing out of it!

There is major hope in the book of Ezekiel for those who believe that God is the salvation of the world and of Israel. We should read it with open eyes and hearts and discern the Truth that God is sharing with us.

Who are these nations that will attack a "peaceful" Israel? When will this occur? What will this attack look like? What will this Act of God look like that will astound the nations?

Keep watch! Be vigilant! I believe this will happen VERY soon!

Okei, nonii :D

Olen hiukan hermostunut, ja hämilläni, mut ei se nyt mitään.

Eli, olen luultavasti menossa samaan paikkaan josta Sari just tuli ulos, eli Korpi-öö.

*facepalm*

Probably a good thing. I

I've had nothing much to say the last few days. Hence no posts.

Probably a good thing. I've entered into some sort of calm zone. I am again attempting to go with the flow of life. Is blogging part of the flow of life? I am definitely an 'angsty' blogger. I write when I am going through emotion and you bear the brunt of it here.

But I feel remiss, like a bad mother, if I don't post regularly. Even if it is a nothing post like this one.

Quick update on events that have been preying on my mind lately:

At the meditation/study group last night we renegotiated the way forward. I no longer have the entire responsibility sitting on my shoulders. I am happy with the outcome. Everyone was very supportive and willing to do their bit.

I am meeting with P tomorrow night prior to the Full Moon meditation I am attending. Just a quick coffee for an hour or so. I plan to discuss visiting the sea with him.

And a work colleague has suggested that I go on a South Pacific cruise with her in August. Just for 8 or 9 nights. I don't know if we'll be able to get a cabin at this late stage but we are investigating things. I can see that would be a chance to let my hair down, relax and enjoy myself. Take life less seriously for a while.

Things work out for the best when you relax and go with the flow. It isn't every day I get invited to go on a cruise. P agreed to meet me when I suggested it and the group all respected my concerns.

I have to thank all of you for your support. Even when sometimes you push me and tell me things I don't want to hear but need to hear. I resist sometimes but eventually it filters through into my awareness.

Namaste

Love Zen...

I’m in such a good mood right nao~ Listening to my favorite musics and searching for good fics

I'm in such a good mood right nao~ Listening to my favorite musics and searching for good fics.

I started a new blog with Saara (yet again, now I have 4 blogs in all), and I've been working on it. Saara too. Finally, after over 7 years of reading fanfiction, I'm starting to write up my favorite fics as fanfiction recommendations. There's so much that I've already lost - most recent ones were all those lovely bookmarks I had on my old computer that decided to die. This is going to take a lot of time and effort from us, but we're off to a good start already.

I've been thinking about this obsession. I love reading, there's nothing better than immersing yourself in a good story that'll just take you away with it. If I had time, and honestly, if I could gather up the concentration for it, I'd love to read all day. In FB, I recently joined a group "I'd marry the Beast if I'd get a library like that.." or something along that line. That is so true. Just thinking about this great big hall, with dozens of shelves with old and new books, sniffing them and touching the covers... uh, drool.

And... I'm a little ashamed to admit it, but fanfiction has somewhat deteorirated my reading brain. :( I'm so lazy in picking up a real book. It's so much easier to search through the shit on the Internet and find something I like, than it is at a local library. Shameee.

I, generally, do not wear skirts and/or dresses. It’s just not my thing. I prefer pinstrip

I, generally, do not wear skirts and/or dresses. It's just not my thing. I prefer pinstriped pants, easy-going sweaters, and basic accessories. However, today is a special day at work, and therefore, I'm wearing a skirt (and other things, I'm not just walking around in a skirt - although this is probably the best city to try something like that without getting arrested). This skirt has a disastrous history and has only been worn once for its misbehaving ways. It loves wind and has a way of picking the absolute wrong moment for its Marilyn Monroe impression (achieved with great hilarity not once, but twice, at the wedding I brought this skirt to). But, it's so pretty and happy and is one of the few skirts that still fit (losing weight is great, but it cuts down the wardrobe).

I put it on this morning, with an upbeat green sweater combination, and proceeded to wait for Boy to come out of his bathroom and tell me how fabulous I looked, or how awful I looked, whichever (though, I was hoping for fabulous). His review was something like this: Cute, but not WOW! I can live with cute but not WOW, as WOW tends to make people look at me. He did say that I was a ten (I liked that the best of all things he said) of course, this was in reference to the 11 made famous by Spinal Tap but I'll take what I can get. Coming from Boy, I consider this the absolute best review he's ever given me when wearing a skirt/dress.

In any case, the skirt tends to swish and swirl and attract attention anyway - as I was the recipient of yet more whistling today (it's been happening more and more, and I generally place the blame on the fact that it is now summer so more men are hanging about outside with nothing better to do than check out beautiful women that happen to pass them by, and really, is there a better way to spend your time? I love looking at beautiful things, although mine tend to be more like sunsets, and trees, etc.). But, the skirt also has powers to make it look as if I'm moving more gracefully than I normally do. My football walk has been corrected by four inch heels and a flowing skirt - fabulous! And with the addition of my super-funky glasses, I'm looking much more librarian than linebacker, even though my skirt has the moves of a linebacker, with its constant motion and ready-for-everything attitude.
