The same man that many praise on his slogan of change.  What type change are you all supporters wanting can I ask.  Do you think it's cool to hang with a druggie and their clan of people that hate America and all it stands for?  Do you think it's cool to trash talk our United States Army and Marines, Navy?  Do you think it's cool to trash the American flag and show disrespect for it?  Do you think it's cool to steal rob and commit fraud with voter registrations?  Do you think it's cool to scam people and use them to manipulate others and promise things which can never be? Do you think it's cool to have a person tell you what you can or can not say?  Do you think it's cool that Barack Obama defended the Acorn group and taught them what they know today?   Well if you answered yes to any of those then by all means Barack Hussein Obama is your guy.

I have returned from Mid Ohio Con! Longboxy is now full of hott new comics and autographs. MOC was a blast and I'm glad I got to see so many great friends. I wish I could've stayed longer, but alas, I had to get back to Cincinnati for work.

Trabajar por el bienestar de la juventud y en coordinación permanente con las municipalidades de la provincia es la propuesta de Freddy Añorga Castro, quien desde el primero de septiembre del presente año, se desempeña como coordinador provincial del Instituto Peruano del Deporte (IPD) en Ascope, designado por el presidente del IPD La Libertad, Fernando Huere Aguilar.

"Contando con el apoyo de los alcaldes espero realizar un estudio concienzudo de la realidad deportiva en el valle Chicama. Sabemos que tenemos deficiencias en la infraestructura y estamos tomando las medidas del caso para orientar a los alcaldes de la provincia de Ascope para que mejoren estas áreas recreativas en coordinación con el IPD", explicó Freddy Añorga Castro.

El coordinador provincial del IPD señaló que ya ha tenido reuniones con el director de la UGEL Ascope, a fin de capacitar a los profesores de educación física de los centros educativos, para que los docentes de educación física puedan, a su vez, llegar a los niños y adolescentes que necesitan el apoyo deportivo. "Vamos a coordinar con todos los centros educativos para que en cada distrito se realice un campeonato sub 10, de esta manera elevaremos el nivel de estos niños", explicó Añorga Castro.

"Es necesario que tengamos presencia en todos los distritos para poder actuar de la manera más rápida. Espero tener, en este mes, finalizada la labor de identificación de los problemas del deporte en nuestra provincia. Hay una posición muy clara del IPD: desarrollar el deporte en toda la provincia y recuperar el prestigio y liderazgo que tuvo Ascope en todas sus disciplinas deportivas", acotó el representante de la entidad rectora del deporte en el valle Chicama.

Queen ist zweifellos eine der größten Rocklegenden, und Freddie Mercury's im November 1991 an Aids verstorbene unverwechselbare Stimme zählt sicherlich auch heute noch zu den besten im Rock-Buisness. Doch Queen ohne Freddie Mercury, kann das funktionieren? Diese Frage habe ich mich gestern vor Konzert-Beginn im Hallenstadion Zürich auch gestellt.

Mit gemischten Gefühlen ging es also zum Queen & Paul Rodgers Konzert, eines vorweg, ein begeisterndes und tiefbewegendes Konzert! Es war keine Kopie von Queen, sondern ein neues Queen Konzert mit dem neuem Sänger Paul Rodgers, der seinen Job wirklich sehr gut macht. Freddy wurde in der Show geehrt und  verewigt, in dem Bilder und Animationen von ihm eingespielt wurden, und somit bei vielen Tränen hervorgerufen haben. Die Lieder von Queen können meines Erachtens auch von einem anderen Sänger gespielt werden, denn diese werden von Paul Rogers keineswegs kopiert, sie sind eben völlig anders. Und warum sollten Queen und Paul Rogers nicht die musikalischen Perlen aus vergangen Zeiten spielen?  Warum sollte der promovierte Doktor der Astrophysik Brian May seine Gitarre nicht mehr singen lassen dürfen? Ich meine, es spricht nichts dagegen, denn Queen hat als Band eine berechtigte Zukunft, die Freddy quasi selbst in einem seiner letzten Songs (The Show must go on) gefordert hat. Auch wenn John Deacon, das ehemalige vierte Queen Mitglied, in der neuen Formation der Band nicht mehr mit von der Partie ist, dies als Ergänzung.

Neben alten Queen Klassikern wie 'A kind of magic', 'We will rock you' und dem abschließenden 'We are the Champions' wurden natürlich auch Lieder vom neuen Album 'The Cosmos rocks' gespielt. Das erste Queen Album nach 14 Jahren hat sich im Genre des Blues-Rock wiedergefunden, und somit sein eigenes ganz individuelles musikalisches Spektrum erreicht, denn gewisse Inhalte aus der frühen Queen Zeit mit Freddy sind nun mal Geschichte, dies muss mann dann auch so akzeptieren. Beispielweise wird man Queen wohl in Zukunft nie wieder in Persiflagen ala 'Radio Kacka' hören, aus dem später dann der Welthit Radio Ga Ga wurde. Und auch werden wir Queen nie mehr in Frauenkleidern auf der Bühne zu Gesicht bekommen, vielleicht auch besser so! Allzu deutliche Anklänge an die Band Queen der Siebziger- und Achtzigerjahre werden heute eindeutig vermieden.

Da ich leider nie die Möglichkeit hatte Freddy live zu sehen, werde ich demnächst mal wieder ein paar alte Videos heraus kramen, und mich Freddy ein wenig widmen. Diesmal gibt es auch wieder ein paar tolle Bilder aus den vorderen Reihen, sowie ein Video zum neidisch werden. In diesem Sinne: QUEEN WILL ROCK YOU!

With the horror in general seeing a major revival in the new millennium, horror fans have seen their fair share of documentaries on the subject pop up both on TV and on DVD.  Most are around to cash in on either the Halloween season, or plug their own horror related ventures by recapping all the movies and characters that came before it that it will ultimately rip ideas from.  Going to pieces isn't some shameless ploy to get you to watch something else though.  What it is is a entertaining, informative and passionate look back at how we got to where we are in the slasher sub-category today, while simultaneously showing us a portion of the history of the horror genre as a whole as well.

It opens by introducing us to some of the humble beginnings of horror in the theater, and then rockets us to Psycho, shows us a bit from that time period (the 60's) as a foundation for what's to come.  It really picks up when they begin to discuss the immense success of Halloween, and really champions it as THE slasher movie to see, not only as a perfect example of everything a slasher can be, but as the ignition of societies relationship with killers in film.

The whole gangs here, from Nicotero, Savini, Carpenter, Cunningham, Craven, Winston, Rob Zombie, and more.  Familiar faces talk about their work and contributions to the genre, and talk about how and why they came upon the ideas that wound up shaping the face of horror forever.  The special effects guys run us through some of their favorite and more notable kills, and touch on why people seem to enjoy watching people getting killed in horrible ways.  Coming from the elders of not only the slasher set, but horror in general, this is somewhat of the gospel to us fan boys, and i suspect many of you out there will enjoy just hearing your heroes talk, let alone actually listening to exactly what they are saying.

They also go into the political and social controversy that plagued these films in the 80's, and show clips of Siskel and Ebert claiming that the slasher film is anti-women, misogynistic, and so on and so forth.  Going to Pieces fights back however, standing up for our beloved serial killers by providing some nice commentary on the subject that isn't just your typical "HEY...leave us alone" rhetoric.  It acknowledges the fact that horror films are the easiest to go after, and that many critics have made a name for themselves slamming them and standing up for morality.  Rob Zombie then chimes in with an interesting point.  If you were to show a prison full of criminals Disney movies non-stop, would they turn into good people?  I thought that was a fairly astute observation, and a convincing argument from someone very passionate about our beloved movies.

My major complaint is that in examining some better known movies, they reveal the twist endings to many of them.  So if you haven't yet seen Prom Night, Sleepaway Camp, Friday the 13th, and some others, you may want to watch these first, as the whole surprise will be ruined and you'll never get to experience the thrill of not seeing these fantastic finishes coming.

If you love the masked murderer sub-genre, this is a must see.  Rarely do you see this much care and accuracy in a documentary, and while there are some mistakes, most notably that Halloween wasn't truly the FIRST slasher the American audience had been subjected to as many predated it, it still comes off as an in-depth, and more importantly, highly entertaining look into what has been, what is, and what will be in one of the most extreme types of scary flicks around.

Era o vorba care spunea ceva de genu': Sa nu-i spui niciodata nimic unui scriitor, pentru ca o sa foloseasca vorbele tale intr-un fel sau altul... Anyway, se intampla rar cand descopar pe cineva care sa-mi dea o idee de articol :) Cel mai important e faptul cand iti spune cineva: "ai scris despre viata mea". :) Unul dintre cele mai mari complimente :) sa observi totusi ca exista persoane care se identifica cu "presonajele" descrise. :)
Si ce daca nu mai ai 20 de ani? Iubirea n-are varsta... iar daca te gandesti mai bine, 10 ani in plus inseamna de zece ori mai multe avantaje! Daca printul real nu si-a facut aparitia pana la aniversarea a 30 de ani... poate a fost prins in trafic... zilele nu intra in sac si nici nu e o tragedie ca ai schimbat prefixul. Increderea in tine vine odata cu varsta. Aminteste-ti cum erai acum 10 ani: chiar daca te-ai autodeclarat matura din momentul in care ai devenit majora, trebuie sa recunosti ca experimentai destul de des momente de nesiguranta cu baietii care te curtau sau care iti placeau. Asteptai cu infrigurare chiar si cel mai mic semn sa-ti confirme ca el te place, si nu cutezai sa-i arunci mai mult de-o privire, ca sa nu fi inteleasa gresit... Ce vremuri...?!

Intoarce-te in prezent si fa o comparatie; nu-i asa ca nu mai e nici urma de fetita timida? Acum insa, stii exact cum sa interpretezi gusturile pretendentului, il privesti pana ce isi pleaca privirea in pamant si nu mai astepti cu emotie langa telefon, cu speranta ca va forma numarul tau, daca ai chef suni chiar tu. :) Ai avut timp berechet sa-ti dai seama cine esti si cine te-ar merita - chiar daca multe dintre lucrurile pe care le-ai aflat despre tine isi au radacinile in esecuri amoroase...

S-a schimbat rolul... relatiile din adolescenta depindea in mare masura de partener; incercai sa-i faci pe plac, lasai mult de la tine si sufereai cand realizai ca eforturile tale de a tine sentimentele in viata erau uneori zadarnice. Acum insa, ai un rol activ! Ai puterea s-o iei de la capat si judeci mult mai limpede totul. In ciuda faptului ca se spune ca dezamagirea e tot mai mare si ca, odata cu inaintarea in varsta, intervine teama de esecuri, lucrurile stau altfel, de fapt. Ierarhia valorilor e cu totul alta, atat in ceea ce priveste o relatie, cat si in celelalte aspecte ale vietii. Ratiunea isi joaca acum cele mai bune carti si nu te mai lasa sa gresesti ca alte dati. In plus de la 30 de ani, ai griji, ai si bani, dar vine si momentul in care te pretuiesti cu adevarat ca femeie. Azi nu mai pleci la o intalnire cu un tip sperand ca te place! Azi spui... "N-am nimic de pierdut daca ii dau o sansa, sa vedem daca va merge!" Iar daca acum cativa ani te gandeai ca o casatorie esuata iti va strica reputatia... acum realizezi ca experientele alea chiar ti-au fost de un real folos. Iti permiteai oare acum cativa ani sa sari peste cateva etape si sa mergi mai departe cu un tip dupa primele 2-3 intalniri? Recunoaste, acum nu ti se mai pare atat de grav. Poti decide mult mai repede daca tipul merita efortul. Ai cunoscut deja cum este barbatul si esti capabila sa intuiesti ce va urma. Decizia iti apartine si cu siguranta nu vei experimenta acele trairi din adolescenta: remuscari sau poate teama de a nu fi incadrata intr-o anumita categorie, si asa mai departe. Vezi tu, daca te gandesti mai bine, acum ai ocazia sa incerci tot ce ti s-a parut interzis acum cativa ani! :)

In momentul cand vezi ori asculti detalii specifice vietii de cuplu, realizezi ca fiecare persoana are un ritm al sau, ceea ce e valabil si pentru viata personala. Unele femei isi fac un obiectiv din a se casatori devreme, in vreme ce altele sustin ca nu se vad in postura asta niciodata, se poate ca tu sa fii undeva la mijloc... Regreti vreun pic? E foarte important sa-ti raspunzi la aceasta intrebare; incearca sa analizezi ceea ce ai trait pana acum, oare ai irosit tot timpul pana acum? In tot acest timp pe care l-ai avut ai invatat multe, ai cunoscut o gramada de oameni , ai calatorit si ai devenit experta in ceea ce priveste "judecata" unui barbat. Asta are o importanta imensa pentru ceea ce esti tu acum si pentru cum va fi viata ta de acum incolo! :)
Pretentiile au crescut... probabil e adevarat! Mai demult se spunea ca fetele trebuie sa se marite devreme, findca altminteri devin pretentioase si li se va parea ca nici un barbat nu mai e de nasul lor. Acum cu siguranta ai ajuns la concluzia ca ceea ce se spunea mai demult e gresit! :) Daca luai in serios aceste vorbe, probabil te-ai fi multumit cu putin. Acum cativa ani, nu aveai aceeasi idee despre partenerul ideal! Si e foarte probabil sa fii pastrat acea imagine pana acum, sau poate chiar pentru toata viata... Poate altii ar fi de parere ca iti cauti scuze... insa parerea mea este ca trebuie sa cauti intotdeauna partea buna a orcarei situatii. Cu siguranta nu ai nevoie sa scormonesti prea adanc dupa ea. :)
Ai nevoie de mai mult timp? De la 30 de ani... viata ta sociala e destul de tumultoasa, cariera te solicita, casa devine tot mai importanta, ceea ce inseamna ca-ti ramane foarte putin timp pentru a face loc unui barbat in viata ta. Introduci "noua achizitie" in cercul tau. Nu e vorba de o noua poseta, ci de noul barbat, viitorul iubit. :)
Ce isi doreste el? Ce isi doresc barbatii? Si ei mai vor cate ceva... acest lucru ar trebui constientizat de catre toate femeile. Daca reusesc sa faca acest pas, atunci pot sa inteleaga si faptul ca barbatul are nevoie de diferente. Asa cum ei prefera mai multe lucruri... tot asa asteapta si ei de la o femeie, si anume diversitate. :)
Se spune ca femeile sunt facute la tiparnita :P, dar totodata barbatul tinde sa spere ca nu se indragosteste de un singur tip de femeie... asta ar insemna ca are o problema. Daca o a doua iubita a unui barbat, seamana mult cu prima, inseamna ca a iubit-o mult pe cea din "trecut". Si acest lucru nu este deloc in regula pentru o a doua relatie. Vor exista mereu comparatii, departe de a avantaja vreo parte. Oricine are nevoie de diferente in viata, altfel toti barbatii ar avea o singura femeie drept ideal, desi ideala ar trebui sa fie femeia pe care o iubeste.

O relatie speciala intre un barbat si o femeie se bazeaza pe dragoste, incredere si un al treilea motiv ce tine de fiecare in parte. Barbatul nu este superior femeii cu nimic! :) Ideea prin care unii barbati au vaga impresie ca le-ar fi cu ceva superiori femeilor cred ca vine din niste mari compleze pe care le au unii. Nu cred ca s-a gasit vreodata un barbat ideal sau o femeie ideala... iar dragostea este ceva greu de definit si diferita pentru fiecare dintre noi. Important ramane insa, afectiunea, modul in care esti tratata, felul de a fi al barbatului, cultura lui..., dar toate acestea nu au nicio valoare daca nu exista acel "ceva" care sa te atraga.
Nu cred ca exista vreun barbat care sa fi fost in pielea vreunei femei pana acum, dar este posibil ca barbatii sa aibe ceva in comun cu femeile, si anume: modul de a iubi. :)

Next week, a VERY IMPORTANT part of my workout routine will be DENIED. Clearly, when one of the project managers was scheduling testing, he DIDN’T LOOK AT MY SCHEDULE TO SEE THAT I WAS UNAVAILABLE. Doesn’t he understand that one of my most important appointments occurs every Monday, Wednesday and Friday at 10:00 a.m.? If I missed it, even once, my back gets VERY mad at me. This appointment is the abs/core class in our on-site gym. It’s only 15 minutes, but those are extremely important 15 minutes for my personal well-being.

Next week, however, I will now be stuck in el-crappo meetings Monday, Wednesday AND Friday from 9:15 – 10:30 a.m. Seriously. Do you realize how much I wanted to DECLINE the meeting request? For the sake of my back’s happiness, of course.

When I took my current position, part of the “negotiations” was demanding an expensive, ergonomic, make-the-other-coworkers-jealous chair. Yes… I DEMANDED it. Apparently, I also should have negotiated for a contract that GUARANTEES my ability to attend abs/core classes no matter what.

So to my “Core Crew” (Jason, Freddy and once a quarter, McJosh), I apologize that I will not be able to attend class with you next week. When I return the following week, I hope that I am not sad and weak around my middle section.

(P.S. To Janet: I’m sorry to say this, but I no longer tip over in this class… amazing, I know.)

"Tudo bem que eu não estava na minha melhor noite, mas pelo menos eu marquei! Se não me quiserem por aqui, tenho certeza de que muitos outros clubes vão adorar contar com minha técnica", bradou o atleta. Por causa dessa declaração, a reportagem foi atrás do presidente sosaitchiano, Rob, que admitiu estar negociando Freddy. "O São Paulo está em busca de um jogador para se reforçar para a Libertadores. E parece que, por causa do cabelo, eles confundiram o Freddy com um argentino", avaliou.

Apesar disso, a diretoria do Sosaitch acredita que conseguirá mantê-lo no elenco. Mas André, vice-presidente, fez uma ressalva. "Se ele ficar com mais um bum-bum-bum, vai ser difícil segurá-lo. Para vocês terem uma idéia, ele começou um tratamento psicológico após a nomeação de bum-bum-bum", admitiu.

Nós esperamos que Freddy se recupere do baque e que, na próxima semana, volte a jogar o futebol que lhe rendeu o título de "O Filho do Vento".
