Thinking about my semi-annual trip to Greenup with K & M, checking my gear, loading up on film and reviewing pix from there in the last couple of years. There are a few spots that I like to photograph each time I go back as a part of a long term project I'm working on called Visiting/Revisiting....the trailer, the church formerly known as the Star of Bethlehem Church and this barn.

Happens when people in your team are not committed as you.

And when you are left to do work supposedly meant for a team of four people.

So when the end result gets screwed up, is it any of your fault when you have obviously done as much as your human capabilities allows you to?

The impulse to snap photos is a happy one. I can really do this all day. And night.

Today I got my anticipated call to pick up my pictures. And I was so disappointed when they told that apparently there was nothing on the film to develop. Well, okay, I thought. I do have a bit of a memory about worrying my film had been loaded the wrong way (sometimes loading film in the dark is just not the best idea). But I took the pictures and sent in the film.

When I got home, I opened up the envelope and held the film up to the light. How can they say there's nothing to develop when I can very clearly see at least 7 pictures. I realize that I don't know all that much about film and the whole process, but if I can see pictures, why can't they develop them?

So, I'm finally posting from my first Holga roll. I didn't get much of the Holga effect for most of the pictures because I didn't take out the insert (which I did on the next rolls), so I should have more vignetting on the next pictures. Plus my next roll has pictures of old cars from 50's Night at work, so hopefully I've got some good ones. And my Holga Project #2 film is getting developed.

Anyways, this slightly blurry one of Dan walking at the park is my favorite. The rest are either very "normal" or a little too blurry to distinguish. But I like this one a lot.

above is tu dome. my most favorite building at Thammasart, the only and forever beloved place. there's a saying that whoever get to go up into the chimney (or whatever you call it) at the very top of this building. you are then so blessed and future life will be successful, or sth like that. as far as im concerned there are few people, teachers included around 3-5 persons not so sure, of which one of them is my weird-lucky classmate.

so as you can see. this is my faculty sign (read "Economics Faculty") behind it is called "common place", common in short.

Getting back in touch with film camara is pretty exciting. i like the thrill of waiting to see how my photos come out;excitement crunches all together unlike what digital can do. digital is cost-saving way of shooting a frame but it's boring after all.

My first time with the Goldenhalf, and most of the pictures didn't have enough light. Some came out grainy.

Soft-focus tones, misty colors, streaming lights.  Has a color flash and long exposure time so you can make light tracks like this halo.

Use filters and make pictures with vignetted corners...

I think the best part is that you can take as many exposures as you want, advancing the film as little as you want.

Here is a modification that lets you make pictures with jagged/fuzzy borders. 

And this is just nuts.

Ok, so I picked up a Holga yesterday. (for those of you unfamiliar just google it and you'll get AMPLE results) I can see why people absolutely love these cameras. I made these three frames walking to the train yesterday. Thanx for looking.

Didn't realise that the P.O not opened on PH. Lols.

Lorong 5 for lunch. Fish soup, fishball noodles, char kuay teow and grass jelly dessert is power!

Went to the abandoned railway at Clementi, Sunset Way. (By the way, if you're interested in exploring, its located at Clementi Street 14) One note to take, wear long pants and covered shoes! Its a jungle out there, loads of blood-suckers and you've got to walk through plants. Went there to take photos!

Second stop was the Kranji War Memorial. It's a memorial/ cemetary place, really a place of serenity. I felt sorry for these men (most of them were like 20+, died at such a young age lah!) Went there to explore, as well as to take some black and white shots. Saw a few idiots and some amateur photographers there as well. I don't understand how people can conduct like modelling photoshoots there. AT A MEMORIAL/ CEMETERY? Crazy or what sia. Like the model's background are all tombstones. A little disrespectful, no? I admit the grass and scenery is nice lah, but a bit over.

Headed to Far East cos' Kat wanted to ask for an exchange for the shoes. Walked around, and had dinner at some stall at the top floor. The claypot noodles not bad ah. Fried won-ton also goood.

Met the boys at Serangoon Gardens for late night dessert-supper. The dessert not too bad, but I still think the one at Chinatown still win. :D

Home after that!
