<title><![CDATA[Rage: il nuovo FPS della id, con tante novità!]]></title>

<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p style="text-align:justify;">Spunta come un fulmine a ciel sereno un <strong>nuovo trailer di Rage</strong>, il nuovo gioco in cantiere della <strong>id Software</strong><a href="http://img214.imageshack.us/img214/2917/ragetmsn3.jpg"><img class="alignleft" src="http://img214.imageshack.us/img214/2917/ragetmsn3.jpg" alt="" width="143" height="187" /></a> (di cui avevo già accennato <a title="Doom 4 è in lavorazione!!!" href="http://leviathans.wordpress.com/2008/05/09/doom-4-e-in-lavorazione/" target="_self">in un precedente articolo</a>, parlando della lavorazione in corso di Doom 4). Il video mostra delle scene inedite rispetto al video che circolava in rete già da tempo, e mostra ancora una volta la <strong>potenza del nuovo motore grafico progettato dalla casa di John Carmack, il Tech 5</strong>: tutte le immagini che vedete sono calcolate in tempo reale.</p>
<p style="text-align:justify;">Cominciano anche a trapelare alcune informazioni riguardo alla <strong>trama del gioco</strong>: una cometa ha colpito la Terra e ha spazzato via qualsiasi forma di civiltà. Faticosamente, l'umanità tenta di ricostruire quanto perduto, ma un regime dispotico gestisce la ricostruzione. Il confine tra buono e cattivo non esiste più, e il giocatore impersona un eroe pronto a tutto pur di ristabilire l'ordine e di rovesciare il regime.</p>
<p style="text-align:justify;">Rage rappresenta il primo tentativo della id software nella creazione di un <strong>FPS non lineare sia nell'ambientazione, sia nella struttura a livelli</strong> (diversamente da come accadeva nei suoi precedenti capolavori, da Doom a Quake passando per Wolfstein, dove il giocatore era in qualche modo "indirizzato" lungo i livelli di gioco). Un elemento interessante di questo gioco sarà anche la <strong>componente di guida</strong> (ispirata a Motorstorm, noto videogioco per PS3). <strong>Grande attenzione è stata data alla fisica e al comportamento dei veicoli in moto</strong>, anche se non dobbiamo comunque aspettarci una vera e propria<a href="http://img214.imageshack.us/img214/7052/ragescreenshotna9.jpg"><img class="alignright" src="http://img214.imageshack.us/img214/7052/ragescreenshotna9.jpg" alt="" width="257" height="183" /></a> simulazione: infatti, tale componente avrà uno stile che si avvicina più all'arcade. Sempre legato alla guida sarà un altro elemento interessante, ossia la possibilità di <strong>potenziare la propria vettura:</strong> sarà, infatti, possibile installare degli aggiornamenti che garantiranno prestazioni migliorate. Inoltre, <strong>Rage integrerà diversi elementi propri del genere delle avventure grafiche e altri tipici dei giochi di ruolo</strong>, comprendendo anche la risoluzione di <strong>puzzle</strong> e la possibilità di <strong>esplorare gran parte del mondo</strong> che vi verrà messo davanti. Altra componente interessante è la <strong>possibilità di affrontare il gioco in co-op</strong>: in pratica, potete giocare la trama principale anche con un amico. id Software sostiene che un nuovo livello di sfida è garantito allorché si affronta il gioco in due, ma precisa che Rage non è stato pensato inizialmente quale gioco co-op.</p>
<p style="text-align:justify;">Secondo quanto si legge sulla Grande Rete, <strong>id Software ha rivisto la sua organizzazione in occasione dello sviluppo di Rage</strong>. Il team è stato suddiviso in sotto-team, in modo che ciascuno di essi si occupasse di una determinata componente del gioco. La fase di guida, dunque, è stata realizzata da una squadra apposita, che ha curato nel dettaglio il comportamento delle vetture, la simulazione delle gare e gli altri elementi necessari. Della fisica, invece, si è occupata un'altra branca di id Software, e stesso discorso va fatto per la componente da sparatutto in prima persona.</p>

<p style="text-align:justify;">Riguardo al motore grafico, c'è da dire che forse per la prima volta vedremo come se la cava id nella progettazione di un engine che deve renderizzare ambienti esterni. Se ricordate bene, i giochi più famosi della id (come Quake o Doom) avevamo per la maggior parte ambientazioni esterne non estese, e limitate in qualche modo. Il nuovo Tech 5, invece, <strong>mostrerà i muscoli proprio con questo ambito, creando delle ambientazioni verosimili ed estremamente realistiche, promettendo una gestione impressionante delle distanze e del numero di personaggi visualizzati</strong>. Dal punto di vista tecnico, <strong>sembra che la tecnologia Tech 5 sia basata su un'unica texture per l'intero mondo di gioco</strong>, richiedendo perciò grandi capacità di immagazzinamento di dati. Secondo HardwareUpgrade, "è altamente probabile che vengano impiegati più di un supporto ottico e l'installazione di parte del materiale nei sistemi che consentono questo tipo di operazione. Tech 5 si basa su due assunti di base: <strong>streaming delle texture e compressione</strong>. Per cui, il demo mostrato al WWDC 2008 (<em>World Wide Developer Conference<em>) </em></em>comprendeva dati non compressi per oltre 30 GB, i quali possono essere ridotti a poche centinaia di megabytes se compressi".</p>

<p style="text-align:justify;"><strong>Il gioco sarà disponibile multipiattaforma</strong>, quindi sia per PC (anche per Linux) e Mac che per console (Xbox 360 e PS3), ma ancora non si sa nulla della data di uscita ufficiale: si vocifera che dovrebbe essere la fine di quest'anno, ma non è ancora detta l'ultima parola.</p>

Se le immagini e i video vi stupiscono per la qualità, immaginate soltanto come sarà <a title="Doom 4 è in lavorazione!!!" href="http://leviathans.wordpress.com/2008/05/09/doom-4-e-in-lavorazione/" target="_self">Doom 4</a>, attualmente in lavorazione, e che probabilmente utilizzerà una versione rivista e migliorata del Tech 5!!!</p>

- ЕПИЗОДА Е ВЕЛИК! Признавам си, че се смях се от сърце с глупостите на Jace. В епизода има малко кадри от ALIENS: Colonial Maries, BORDERLANDS и още много други, но най-забавната част е факта, че <a href="http://strangera.com/2008/08/06/quake-con-08-john-legend-carmack-interview/">Джон Кармак</a>, не само владее бойни изкуства но и за малко да удуши Jace! Невероятно забавен епизод, остро ви го препоръчвам, дори да не сте гледали предишните и да не сте чак такива големи фенове!</p>

<p>Lo primero: os he puesto el youtube, pero no ver este tráiler en HD debería ser castigado con pena de muerte. Lo segundo: madre mía que pintaza. Dudo que el in-game se acerque a esto, pero si lo hace podemos estar orgullosos del trabajo de ID Software. La novedad más eseñable del tráiler es la presencia de unas carreras que serían un cruce entre Motorstorm y Mad Max. Por lo demas, bichos mutantes, tías con grandes pechos y todo eso a lo que estamos acostumbrados.</p>

<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>I got to thinking, and since I am making a Wolfenstein 3D mod and including Resident Evil elements, I would hate for anyone working for Capcom and or id Software to stumble on my site and think I am trying to get funny ideas. The mod that I am making is purely out of enjoyment for myself and others that eventually play it. I am in no way being compensated for any work that goes into this Wolf3d mod. I give full credit to id Software and Capcom for all original work implemented in my mod/total conversion. I am using Wolfenstein and Resident Evil elements because those are two of my favorite game franchises. Since I am not really sure how all the legal mumbo jumbo works, I thought I would post this!</p>
<p>By the way, if any employee/game developer/CEO/etc. from Capcom and or id Software stumble across my website, let it be known that I have great story ideas fleshed out for my game! And, if you would ever require my help for your franchises- namely, Resident Evil or Wolfenstein, let me know! I have a creative mind and enjoy writing and developing!!</p>
<p>(Just think about it-Wolfenstein and Resident Evil combined!! Sound crazy? No more crazy than super heroes fighting street fighters! id Software and Capcom coming together to make a title would be amazing. Make no mistake about it!)</p>

<p style="text-align:left;">No suelo usar el PC para jugar, pero con Quake 3 y con Unreal Tournament (del 99) tengo que hacer una excepción. Siempre es bueno tenerlo instalado "por si" un día nos juntamos los buenos colegas a jugar por LAN.</p>

<p>Det kan virke som kodergeniet John Carmack er lei PCen, "sannheten er at salgstallene på PC spill er ikke hva de brukte å være, konsollspill selger mye bedre" forteller han Toms Hardware. Dette er mannen som står bak PC klassikere som Wolfenstein 3D, Doom og Quake. Tradisjonelt har FPS hørt hjemme på PCen, men nå har store titler som Halo, Call of Duty og Metroid bevist at sjangeren også funker med håndkontroller.</p>
<p>John Carmack sier at han vil selvfølgelig fortsette med å støtte PCen, men konsoll er hans nye hovedfokus. De neste spillene hans, Rage og Doom 4, kommer til PC, Xbox 360, PS3 og Linux. Xbox 360 versjonen av Rage vil ha noe dårligere grafikk enn de andre versjonene på grunn av lite lagringskapasitet på DVD kontra Blue-Ray.</p>
<p>Carmack har også vist interesse for Apples Iphone, og mener den er nesten like kraftig som en Dreamcast. Det vil si kraftigere enn Nintendo DS og PSP tilsammen! Men han liker ikke Apple, og skal ha sagt at "Steve Jobs er ingen gamer".</p>

<p style="text-align:left;">La historia es la siguiente: id Software, creador de juegos como Doom, se ha caracterizado por estirar al máximo las capacidades gráficas de las plataformas para las cuales desarrollan. La empresa se encuentra desarrollando Rage, un juego que ha generado muchas expectativas pues, de lo poco que se ha visto, luce impresionante.</p>
<p style="text-align:left;">En días recientes, id mencionó que Rage podría verse peor en la Xbox 360 si solo podían dividir el juego en 2 DVDs. Los desarrolladores le pidieron a Microsoft que bajara el porcentaje de ganancias que deberían ser destinadas a Ms por la implementación de un tercer DVD en el juego (al parecer, entre más DVDs se empleen, más dinero debe ser pagado al dueño de la consola). Sin embargo, Microsoft no cedió.</p>
<p style="text-align:left;">Ahora, probablemente preocupado por las ventas del juego en la Xbox 360, John Carmack (miembro de id Software) ha mencionado que las versiones de PS3 y Xbox 360 se verán iguales en todas las partes del juego con relevancia, las escenas de la historia y los escenarios principales. La única parte donde se notaría la diferencia es si el juegador decide ir a explorar lugares inusuales a los que nadie, enfocado en seguir la línea directa del juego, iría.</p>
<p style="text-align:left;">Con todo esto, los jugadores de la Xbox 360 pueden dormir tranquilos y saber que solo se enfrentaran a la molestia de cambiar DVDs a la mitad del juego, pero recibiran la experiencia practicamente completa, a menos claro que te preocupe sentarte a ver las hormigas pasar mientras te persiguen tus enemigos.</p>

<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Screenwriter Roger Avary is supposed to be turning in his script for the Wolfenstein movie.   Hopefully that means that we'll be seeing this movie within the next two years.</p>
<p>id Software CEO Todd Hollenshead said, "<span style="color:#000000;">With the writer's strike it</span> took so long to get underway and Roger Avary, the writer, had a commitment that was in line before working the <em>Wolfenstein</em> stuff, but I've recently been in contact with Roger and he's actually working on the script right now."</p>
<p>Hollenshead added, "There's some contract provisions and if they don't have certain things done within a certain period of time they can't just sit on the rights forever and not use them."</p>
<p>So, that's some good news.  I'm hoping that they get on the ball with this one and get it going soon.</p>

<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p style="text-align:justify;"><strong>id Software</strong>, durante il QuakeCon, ha rilasciato le prime immagini del suo nuovo progetto <strong>Rage</strong>, FPS di nuova generazione (si avvale della tecnologia propietaria "Tech 5"), che uscirà nel 2009. Le immagini mostrano la potenza della tecnologia <strong>Tech 5</strong>: a prima vista potrebbero tranquillamente essere scambiate per degli artwork. A voler essere cattivi, non si sa se queste immagini si riferiscano effettivamente al prodotto finale, ma comunque, sono tecnicamente eccezionali.</p>

O co-fundador da produtora norte-americana <strong>Id Software</strong>, <strong>John Carmack</strong>, declarou que está trabalhando "vagamente"(?) em dois projetos para o celular mais popular do mundo - <strong>iPhone</strong>.</p>
<p>O primeiro será uma extensão de conteúdo para telefones móveis, que já tem para outros celulares,  e a outra é algo específico para o telefone da<strong> Apple</strong>.</p>
<p>Na <strong>QuakeCon 2008</strong>, que é organizada pela  Id, nos Estados Unidos, Carmack fez elogios ao telefone da Apple. "É um passeio de montanha-russa com a Apple, como sempre", diz.</p>
<p>A produtora de Doom tentou ao telefone de Steven Jobs os jogo <strong>Orcs &#38; Elves</strong>, mas as configurações do aparelho não tem a estrutura para suportar tal jogo.<br />
Carmack foi audacioso. Para ele o iPhone tem mais potêncial que o <strong>DS</strong> e o <strong>PSP </strong>juntos.</p>
<p>Será? Ou ele puxando muito o saco do "brinquedo-fone" da maça psicodélica?</p>

<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p align="justify"><strong>id Software</strong> ha indicado que no hay ningún plan para crear una nueva versión de Quake Arena después del lanzamiento de <span style="color:#0066cc;"><strong>Quake Live</strong></span>, la versión del juego pensada específicamente para jugarse desde navegadores de Internet.</p>
<p>Una de las razones principales para descartar el multijugador de Quake es que quieren centrarse en desarrollar <span style="color:#0066cc;"><strong>Doom 4</strong></span> a nivel interno, según ha señalado John Carmack, director técnico y cofundador de la compañía.</p>
<p>Carmack afirma que "la puerta no está cerrada completamente a otro proyecto de Quake, y diría que el éxito de Quake Live probablemente determine si hacemos otro proyecto de Quake." En cualquier caso, parece que habría otro obstáculo, pues "ahora mismo las editoras no están interesadas en absoluto en juegos centrados en el multijugador."</p>
<p>Al menos, Carmack tiene grandes esperanzas para Doom 4, pues espera que éste "tenga tres veces la riqueza gráfica" de Rage al funcionar a 30 imágenes por segundo en vez de 60 imágenes por segundo. De hecho, Carmack ha afirmado que "podéis esperar que Doom se vea como si estuviese hecho con la próxima generación de tecnología gráfica."</p>
<p>Eso sí, la tasa de imágenes por segundo podrá subirse, claro, a gusto de los usuarios de PC, pues Carmack espera que para cuando se lance el juego haya ordenadores lo suficientemente potentes como para mover Doom 4 también a 60 imágenes por segundo, situándolo de ese modo por encima de las versiones para consola.</p>
<p>Doom 4 también se construye sobre la tecnología Tech 5 (la empleada en Rage) para PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 y PC, aunque no se ha dado todavía una fecha de lanzamiento.</p>
