Neregėtais tempais augančios kainos daugelį privertė taupyti ir per atostogas. Pajūryje įsikūrusių kavinių savininkai skundžiasi šiemet sulaukiantys gerokai mažiau klientų. Nors šalies pajūrio kurortuose poilsiautojų netrūksta, tačiau jie šiemet savo atostogoms gali skirti kur kas mažiau pinigų nei pernai. Užuot pietavę ar vakarieniavę kavinėje, žmonės maistą gaminasi patys.

Renkasi pigius patiekalus

Verslininkai pastebėjo, kad į barus pavalgyti užsuka vis mažiau žmonių, o ir atėjusieji pasitenkina gerokai kuklesniais ir pigesniais patiekalais.

„Pernai pas mus būdavo sunku rasti laisvą staliuką, šiemet to nebėra. Pastebėjau ir tai, kad nemažai atėjusiųjų pasėdi, pavarto meniu ir išeina. Tai byloja apie prastėjančią žmonių finansinę padėtį. Juk pavalgydinti keturių asmenų šeimą kavinėje mažiau nei už 100 litų beveik neįmanoma. Todėl žmonėms išties pigiau išsivirti koldūnų ar dešrelių, nusipirktų maisto prekių parduotuvėje. Be to, vis mažiau klientų renkasi brangius patiekalus, vietoj mėsos kepsnių pasitenkina blyneliais ar salotomis“, – pasakojo Palangos kavinės „Ronžės uostas“ savininkė Daiva Bučienė.

Pašnekovė įsitikinusi, jog besikeičiantiems turistų įpročiams įtakos turėjo ir tai, kad beveik visose kavinėse patiekalai šiemet kainuoja 20 proc. brangiau nei pernai.

Populiarėja mini virtuvėlės

Palangos viešbučių ir restoranų asociacijos prezidentas Gintaras Sičiūnas tvirtino, kad poilsiautojai priversti taupyti artėjančiam rudeniui.

„Nemanau, kad žmonės mažiau turtingi nei seniau, tiesiog daugelis jau mąsto apie ateitį ir taupo. Juk prognozuojama, kad rudenį viskas dar labiau pabrangs, o labiausiai visus baugina kilsiantys būstų šildymo įkainiai“, – įsitikinęs prezidentas.

Anot jo, apie žmonių taupumą byloja ir gerokai išaugęs būstų ar viešbučių su mini virtuvėlėmis poreikis.

„Seniau virtuvių niekam nereikėjo, o dabar visi apie jas tik ir klausinėja. Net apsistojantieji viešbučiuose prašo apartamentų su mini virtuvėlėmis, kurios šiemet tapo dideliu privalumu“, – pastebėjo G.Sičiūnas.

Turtingi dar neatvažiavo

Kavinės „Paršelio rojus“ Šventojoje savininkas Gintas Rekašius įsitikinęs, kad barai sulaukia nedaug žmonių ir dėl prastų orų. „Kadangi iki šiol jie buvo prastoki, tai ir poilsiautojų buvo mažiau, o dabar atšilus tikimės jų sulaukti daugiau“, – sakė jis.

Anot pašnekovo, iki liepos vidurio šalies kurortuose atostogauja mažiau pajamų turintys turistai, todėl ir kavinėse apyvarta buvo mažesnė.

G.Rekašius jau seniai pastebėjo, kad nuo liepos vidurio iki rugpjūčio pabaigos į kurortus poilsiauti atvyksta turtingesni žmonės. „Todėl tikiuosi, kad taip bus ir šiemet, o atvykusieji pinigų kavinėms negailės“, – vylėsi „Paršelio rojaus“ savininkas.

Verslininkas nelinkęs prognozuoti, ar ši vasara bus pelninga. „Kol kas panikuoti neverta, nes užsidirbti dar yra laiko. Ar vasara buvo pelninga, paaiškės tik rudenį“, – pabrėžė G.Rekašius.

Sezoninis verslas – loterija

Nors Klaipėdos paplūdimiuose kasdien apstu žmonių, čia veikiančios kavinės pasigirti dideliais pelnais taip pat negali.

Anot Girulių pliaže esančios kavinės savininko Ryčio Murmoko, apie pelną jis nesvajoja, o viliasi sezoną užbaigti bent jau be nuostolių.

„Nors patiekalų kainos daug ir nepakilo, žmonių užsuka mažai, todėl pelno beveik neturime. Aš tikiuosi, kad vasaros sezonas baigsis nei nuostolingai, nei pelningai – lygiosiomis. Žinoma, apmaudu, bet pasirinkdamas šį verslą tikrai žinojau, kad jis labai rizikingas, tarsi didele suma žaisčiau loterijoje. Juk visas uždarbis priklauso nuo orų“, – tikino R.Murmokas.

Verslininkas pabrėžė pastebėjęs, kad apskritai, palyginti su ankstesniais metais, pailsėti į pajūrį atvyksta mažiau žmonių, todėl mano, kad daugelis lietuvių ilsėtis išvyksta į svečias šalis, kur yra ne tik puikus oras, bet ir geras aptarnavimas.

Padavėjos – be arbatpinigių

Kad ši vasara gerokai prastesnė, pastebėjo ir padavėjos, kurios tikino šiemet nebeuždirbsiančios tiek, kiek anksčiau. Pagrindinis jų uždarbis – arbatpinigiai, kurių klientai palikti jau pagaili.

„Palangos kavinėse dirbu šeštą vasarą. Nors oficialiai teuždirbdavau minimumą, nemažas sumas susitaupydavau iš arbatpinigių. Tačiau panašu, kad šiųmetis mano uždarbis bus labai menkas – klientai nebe tokie dosnūs, kaip anksčiau. Labai liūdna, kad arbatpinigių palieka mažiau – litą, du, kartais daugiau, dažnai išvis nebepalieka. Būna, kad per dieną nesurenku nė 30 litų. Pernai per dieną arbatpinigių gaudavau apie du šimtus, daugiausiai surinkau penkis šimtus litų, todėl per visą sezoną būdavo įmanoma užsidirbti“, – apgailestavo vienoje Palangos kavinių dirbanti studentė Skirmantė Balčiūnaitė.

Kitoje kavinėje dirbanti Rasa Vaišvilaitė tikino, kad sumažėjo ne tik uždarbis, bet ir darbo krūvis. „Pernai buvo tiek klientų, kad nespėdavome atsipūsti ir pavalgyti – lakstydavome nuo ryto iki vėlyvos nakties, o dabar esame priverstos sėdėti be darbo“, – liūdnai kalbėjo pašnekovė. Merginos abejoja, ar dirbti į kurortų barus jos ryšis sugrįžt ir kitąmet.

JAV keturiems kariams gresia griežtos bausmės už tai, kad jie užmigo saugodami vienos branduolinės raketos kodus. Laimė, kodai buvo neaktyvuoti, praneša agentūra AFP. Karinio oro laivyno duomenimis, kariai prieš dvi savaites Minoto bazėje Šiaurės Dakotoje prigulė neleistino poilsio. Oro laivyno atstovas pažymėjo, kad pavojaus, jog raketa bus paleista per klaidą, nebuvo.

Minėtų keturių karių užduotis buvo požeminiame kontrolės centre pakeisti raketos paleidimo kodus. Tai padarę jie pakilo į patalpą viršuje ir su pakeistų kodų lagaminėliu laukė, kol bus grąžinti į būstinę. Tačiau kariai, nusižengdami visiems nurodymams, užmigo.

Šis incidentas išaiškėjo, kai vienas karių, graužiamas sąžinės, apie viską papasakojo viršininkui.

In Sorting Out The Surge he takes a look at the McCain/Obama dust-up over the surge:

Now, the Dem criticism of McCain's view is that the Anbar Awakening had started before the increase in troop levels. But if McCain has the timing wrong, what about Obama? How could the US have failed to anticipate a Sunni uprising that was already occuring?

Indeed, this idea that the Anbar Awakening was just a lucky coincidence with the surge is such a preposterous idea that (like John McCain) I have a hard time believing it's being floated about mostly unchallenged. From the Presidents Jan 2007 address announcing the surge:

As we make these changes, we will continue to pursue al Qaeda and foreign fighters. Al Qaeda is still active in Iraq. Its home base is Anbar Province. Al Qaeda has helped make Anbar the most violent area of Iraq outside the capital. A captured al Qaeda document describes the terrorists' plan to infiltrate and seize control of the province. This would bring al Qaeda closer to its goals of taking down Iraq's democracy, building a radical Islamic empire, and launching new attacks on the United States at home and abroad.

Our military forces in Anbar are killing and capturing al Qaeda leaders, and they are protecting the local population. Recently, local tribal leaders have begun to show their willingness to take on al Qaeda. And as a result, our commanders believe we have an opportunity to deal a serious blow to the terrorists. So I have given orders to increase American forces in Anbar Province by 4,000 troops. These troops will work with Iraqi and tribal forces to keep up the pressure on the terrorists. America's men and women in uniform took away al Qaeda's safe haven in Afghanistan -- and we will not allow them to re-establish it in Iraq.

In contrast:

Sen. Barack Obama on Tuesday [July 15] called the war in Iraq a "dangerous distraction," and said more emphasis must be placed on the battle in Afghanistan. "As should have been apparent to President Bush and Sen. [John] McCain — the central front in the war on terror is not Iraq, and it never was".

It never was? That is a preposterous assertion, yet it has been made again and again by Obama and the Democrats over the past few years. It boggles the mind, it flies in the face of so many facts. (Here's a bunch of non-Maguire quotes to back up that assertion.)

John McCain was right about what was needed to win in Iraq. And although at times he seemed like a lone voice, he wasn't totally alone. In Where is General Zinni And What Is He Thinking? he notes this article from Dec 2006:

These days General Zinni is delivering another provocative message: that leaving Iraq quickly would strengthen Iranian influence throughout the Middle East, create a sanctuary for terrorist groups, encourage even more sectarian strife in Iraq and risk turmoil in an oil-rich region.

“This is not Vietnam or Somalia or those places where you can walk away,” General Zinni said in a recent interview. (He served in both countries.) “If we just pull out, we will find ourselves back in short order.”

Instead, he says, the United States should leave open the door for a temporary increase in American troops, an argument he included in a broader plan prepared for the World Security Institute, a research organization, and made public on Monday. “It may be necessary to surge them for a short term,” he said.

General Zinni noted that his position was similar to that of Senator John McCain, Republican of Arizona, a staunch supporter of the decision to invade. “I do believe more troops are required on the ground,” the general said. “I believe what Senator McCain says.”

Remember Obama was at one point advocating removing all combat troops by March 2008.

Then there's this stunner from journalist Joe Klein in Klein v. Klein,

The reality is that neither Barack Obama nor Nouri al-Maliki nor most anybody else believes that the Iraq war can be "lost" at this point.

That was July 23. But on July 20th he was defending Obama making leaving Iraq a priority, despite civil chaos (not civil war anymore, eh?) and a loss of American influence in the region. Then this Klein bit from April of this year:

Few people believe that the Sunni Awakening movement—the insurgents who flipped to our side after a fling with al-Qaeda—would stay peaceful if the U.S. military weren't there as a buffer between them and the Shi'ites.

Here's the depressing part though:

...voters will not be presented with a clear choice between a candidate committed to achieving victory in Iraq and a candidate committed to declaring Bush's war to be a defeat. Instead, we will have a choice between a candidate who would have avoided Bush's mess and a candidate who would have been better at cleaning it up. That debate will fascinate historians and pundits but no one else.

Infrared ray technology is one of the major break-throughs in wireless - its most common application being in TV remote controls. Each button of the remote control corresponds to a particular range IR signal which is transmitted by an LED. The signals are decoded by an IR receiver in the TV and sent to the microprocessor whic does the needful.

IR is now available in most mobile phones as a means of wireless transfer. However IR is a line of sight technology requiring the communicating devices to be pointed to each other with no interference in between. And the transfer should be one-one.

Bluetooth is a technolgy that negates these obvious disadvantages of IR in wireless communication. It incorporates the use of Radio frequency (RF) signals ( of range 2.402 GHz to 2.480 GHz, universal standard) and hence is not one-one, it sends out signals of very low power (hence does not interfere with other devices but the range is limited - to 10m). In additon, piconets ( bluetooth networks) create the connection between the required devices and ignore all devices other than the  ones on the network. Using piconets, bluetooth enables upto 8 devices to be connected simultaneously.

Wi-Fi or wireless fidelity or 802.11 networking, is another form of wireless comunication, that connects devices to the internet by means of "hotspots". A wireless adapter installed in the laptop/desktop helps detect and connect to surrounding networks, through these hotspots.

Ant jų puikavosi raudona sovietų vėliava ir sukryžiuoti pjautuvas bei kūjis su virš jų esančia penkiakampe žvaigžde.

Šalia – užrašas „CCCP“, rusiškai reiškiantis nebeegzistuojančios valstybės – Sovietų Socialistinių Respublikų Sąjungos pavadinimą.

Pilietiškai nusiteikę šventės dalyviai ne tik įamžino šias „puošmenas“, bet ir apie jas pranešė Klaipėdos rajono policijai.

Vakar Klaipėdos rajono policijos komisariato Prevencijos poskyrio viršininkė Dovilė Lučinskienė patvirtino, kad toks skundas buvo gautas, ir žadėjo, kad transporto priemonės savininkas neliks nenubaustas. Pagal Administracinių teisės pažeidimų kodeksą už nacistinių ar komunistinių simbolių platinimą arba demonstravimą gresia bauda nuo 500 iki tūkstančio litų bei daikto, tapusio pažeidimo įrankiu, konfiskavimas.

Gali konfiskuoti mašiną?

Ar turėtų būti konfiskuotas pažeidimo įrankiu tapęs automobilis, ar numerio rėmelis, pareigūnai negalėjo pasakyti.

Nacistinių ir komunistinių simbolių platinimas ir demonstravimas buvo uždraustas vos prieš mėnesį. Birželio 17-ąją Seimas uždraudė Lietuvoje vykstančiuose susirinkimuose naudoti nacistinę ir komunistinę simboliką, kuri būtų suprantama kaip nacistinių ar komunistinių okupacinių režimų propaganda. Šis draudimas, už jį pasisakius daugumai parlamentarų, buvo įtrauktas į Susirinkimų įstatymo pataisas.

D.Lučinskienė teigė, kad anksčiau Klaipėdos rajone neteko nieko bausti už sovietinės simbolikos demonstravimą, nes iki šiol nebuvo priimti tai draudžiantys teisės aktai.

Prisimena ir A.Hitlerį

Tai nebe pirmas kartas, kai Klaipėdos mieste ar rajone viešai demonstruojami nacistiniai arba komunistiniai simboliai.

Uostamiestyje kone kasmet balandžio 20-ąją, per nacių diktatoriaus Adolfo Hitlerio gimtadienį, vienoje ar kitoje vietoje iškeliamos vėliavos su svastika. Dažniausiai tai daro skinų grupuotės.

Pernai rugsėjį Manto gatvės praeivius šokiravo priešais Klaipėdos apygardos teismą įsitaisęs protestuotojas, apsimovęs baltą maišą, ant kurio buvo pavaizduota ir svastika. Prieš trejus metus A.Hitlerio vardadienio proga svastika buvo nupiešta ir ant Klaipėdoje esančios žydų bendruomenės pastatus juosiančios mūrinės sienos. Antisemitinių bei fašistinių užrašų ir simbolių prieš kelis metus buvo nupiešta ir senamiestyje.

The Iguana device had been working great when I was running 2 tuners. After adding the 3rd tuner/DCT700 cable box to the mix, I could not get it to work. I opened a ticket with Iguana and I get the impression my issue is not high enough on their priority list to address. As a result I would NOT recommend this company to anyone to do business with.

Stay tuned for CommandIR feedback. I selected their new internal version and am looking forward to the install. I need to have all my tuners operational before the kickoff of the new TV season!

At first I had issues with the PS3 remote controller. I was rather disappointed that I couldn't use a universal remote controller to control the PS3. This was the case because PS3 remote used bluetooth wireless protocol instead of infra red.

Exploiting the varying amounts of Infrared light that different objects give off leads to dramatically coloured shots. In this part of the series I'll take you through how I post processed a recent pic taken on a Flickrmeet.

First things first. If you shoot RAW be prepared to have to make a side step before beginning the the processing. If you followed the previous article and shot with a custom white balance, you will need to avoid using Adobe Camera RAW, the RAW processing tool that acts as Photoshop's front end. This tool can't recognise the custom white balance setting, as it will be outside of ACR's range. The image will open in ACR as a purely infrared image.

So we need to open the shot in another package first to retain the information set with the custom white balance shot. As you know, I'm using a Canon 40D, so I also have Canon's own DPP package which, as it happens, does retain the custom white balance information. From there we can send the shot to Photoshop as a TIFF.

I will apologise to non Canon users at this point! I can offer one solution to this problem for others, which is to shoot JPG for this type of photography. This will retain the custom white balance at the time of shooting as part of the image, so no need for hassle and off to Photoshop we go! The TIFF that DPP generates looks like this :-

With some subjects this kind of processing works well already. Some of my other shots have a similar colour palette as it is simply the result of the custom white balance straight from DPP.

The first step on the path to trying out some false colour work is to swap the Red and Blue channels. In our image, the blueish trees will now go red(ish) and the browny red sky will end up a dark cyan, which is a bit closer to blue than murky brown!! To do this we add a new Channel Mixer adjustment layer and in the Red tab set Red to 0% and Blue to 100%. Then on the Blue tab, we set Blue to 0% and Red to 100%. After a while doing this gets really boring, so I made an Action to do it for me!

So now we can see the colours starting to appear but the image looks a bit flat and dull. Use a Levels or Curves adjustment layer and hit Auto (yeah, like you can navigate those weird channel swapped colours in manual mode? - just hit auto and tweak to taste!).

Its starting to look good now but I often then add a Colour Balance adjustment layer and tweak around a bit to get rid of either a cyan or reddish tinge.

The only other steps I performed on this image was to increase the effect of the pink trees using layer masks and colour balance layers to bring out the reds here. After that I used a Selective colour layer on the line of rushing water at the bottom of the wall and made the whites a bit more white, as they had changed a bit bluey in the colour balance process.

Last step was to create a new layer, using Option (or ALT) to merge visible to that new layer, the shot was flattened and sharpened using Un Sharp Mask. IR with architectural details seems to be able to take quite a lot of sharpening to crisp up those edges without looking over the top. The house and the wall really benefitted from the process. But the same cannot be said for the wispy clouds and smooth water, so I used added a mask and painted out the clouds and water, therefore revealing the other unsharpened layers underneath.

Save the whole thing as Jpeg and off to Flickr we go!!

First, I just want to say that Colin Powell was awesome.  While his speech was good, it was basically like every other speech our generation hears - use technology, get to work, save the world.  I thought his best lines were his off-the-cuff self-deprecating asides.  He has a sense of humor and grace that I hope I achieve by the time I'm his age.

He did say a few things that I jotted down, not because they were new ideas, but because I liked his phrasing. He called the current times the era of wealth creation. This era will be powered by information revolution and absolutely dependant on transparency.

I see such enormous potential in that phrase. It implies not just 'end of poverty', with all of Sachs', et al's mandate to come in and save the world, which assumes (even relies upon) a receptiveness or passivity of the poor, but instead action, purpose, and entrepreneurship on the part of those in need. 'Creation' is a powerful phrase, and it also doesn't assume a zero-sum outcome, as most development language seems to.

Other important things to think about:

• Energy – particularly the relationship with food production and infrastructure
• The Environment – if we don’t focus on the atmosphere, we will all (literally) be toast
• Education – such a no-brainer, but of course, vital. 

The rest of the event featured a panel discussion between Rachel Hoff, Seth Green, Capt. Westley Moore, and Amar Bakshi with Liz Sullivan moderating.  As a launch event, this served primarily as an introduction to the project and the fellows, and as a way to get the discussion started.

• Public Service
• Political Activism

I've already written about my favorite question from the debate.  I love those kind of thought experiments, althought they have no real policy applications.  Still, I think it's helpful to occassionally reevaluate the path I'm taking.  As Yogi Berra said, 'You've got to be careful if you don't know where you're going because you might not net there.'

All in all, I'd say the launch was a great success.  The real action will be online at the Next America site, and I am looking forward to the ensuing conversations.  If you haven't done so already, check out the video, as well as the blogs and posted articles .

Massive upheaval is occurring to Australia’s standard employment conditions and minimum wages, with little to no understanding or public attention.

The ‘award modernisation’ process currently underway in the AIRC, following a request from the Workplace Relations Minister, Julia Gillard, will impact on all Australian workers … either directly through loss of conditions or indirectly through lowering the base from which agreements can be made.

While the Rudd Government likes to compare its IR policy with Work Choices (…so it can say things are slightly better than they might have been), a better way of evaluating their policy is to look at the industrial relations system that existed in Australia before the aberration of Work Choices. On this test the Government is failing to provide adequate protection for workers.

Surprisingly, when it comes to stripping awards, this ALP Government is going further than Howard and Reith were able to (before the Coalition had the numbers in the Senate) in reducing award conditions and fundamentally changing the nature of the award system.

The award system, while not perfect, provided a comprehensive safety net of wages and conditions which for a century underpinned the rights of workers and preserved the relative equity of Australian society.

The term ‘modernisation’ hides the reality of a reduced safety net, continuing AWAs by another name (ITEAs) … and the politicisation of our minimum standards of work.

The key changes being made to the award system by the ALP government are:

• Reducing the number of conditions in awards to 10 (awards often have up to 30 conditions);
• Reducing the number of awards;
• Introducing a ‘flexibility clause’ into all awards;
• Ensuring the AIRC will only be able to alter awards in accordance with a request from the Minister, or at four yearly reviews; and
• Removing the ability of the AIRC to hear and determine cases on appropriate award conditions.

The reduction in the numbers of awards and the number of conditions in each award will lead inevitably to a reduced safety net, with some workers not only losing actual conditions but also having their safety net conditions watered down. There is no other result possible – some workers will lose conditions, including take home pay.

The ‘flexibility clauses’ which are mandatory in all awards (and collective agreements) effectively create an ‘AWA-Lite’. They will allow employers to enter into individual agreements to alter certain award matters, including penalty rates, overtime rates and allowances. We have been told that these agreements will be subject to an overall no-disadvantage test, although there is no word yet on how this will be enforced.

This is a worrying development for a couple of crucial reasons.

Firstly, award workers are by definition low-paid and face significant barriers to participating in fair bargaining (…that is why they are award workers and not on another form of agreement). These clauses operate like AWAs for these workers, and given that they can affect penalty and overtime rates, they can potentially lead to even less take-home pay.

While Work Choices AWAs received the most attention, AWAs existed before Work Choices, and used a similar no-disadvantage test as that in the proposed flexibility clauses. Prior to Work Choices, AWAs weren’t used very much across most of Australia, but we picked up more in my home state of WA after the Court Government’s state-based individual workplace contracts were overturned.

The evidence shows that these pre-Work Choices AWAs also led to reduced conditions and take home pay for workers.

Secondly, individual agreements undermine the safety net. Can we really continue to call it a safety net when key conditions can be bargained away?

There are serious questions of fairness about these clauses and how they will work. Most of the conditions Australian workers enjoy in the workplaces today came about through the award system – annual leave, sick leave, carers leave, parental leave, penalty rates, overtime rates, termination and redundancy rights and pay … and more recently, rights to flexible hours on return to work after maternity leave.

The value of the AIRC determining contemporary community standards though award ‘test cases’ lay with the open, transparent and independent way in which they were processed, with stakeholders able to bring application for changes that were then evaluated by the Commission.

Awards will now become static instruments. However, our workplaces and our society will remain changing, dynamic systems, far from static. We need to ensure there is sufficient ability in the new system to respond to changing circumstances.

From what we can gather from the ALP’s policy, new modern awards will only be able to be changed by Fair Work Australia following a request from the Minister or at 4 yearly reviews.

This process politicises our minimum conditions. Do we have faith that federal governments will respond appropriately to changes in workplace and our labour market into the future?

The continued lack of paid maternity leave suggests Governments are not particularly willing to adopt new standards in workplace conditions even when there is significant support for a new measure.

There can be no question that our awards need to be updated. Many awards do not reflect contemporary work practices or standards, and the award system languished in the decade under Howard. However, there is a huge difference between genuinely updating awards to reflect modern workplaces … and stripping conditions out of the safety net.

The process being undertaken by the AIRC is also of grave concern. It is a huge task to re-create a new award system – yet insufficient time is being given to this task. In the rush to simplify awards by 2010 to appease big business, the Government is leaving workers behind.

In the end we have an ALP Government accepting in large part the fundamental ideological shift made by the Howard Government to abandon conciliation and arbitration along with the role of worker and employer representatives in that system.

The ALP is not “ripping up” Work Choices or even significantly rolling it back – rather this Government is explicitly accepting the basic architecture of the Howard plan, including the trashing of the award system.

It will be interesting to see how much longer Australian workers and their unions continue to put up with it…

Įstatymu nesiekiama uždrausti ekstrasensų, parapsichologų ir visokio plauko burtininkų veiklą, tačiau savotiškai bandoma auklėti vartotoją, kad šis bent jau žinotų, ką renkasi. Anot specialistų, žmonės tiesiog „durninami“. Tuo tarpu ekstrasensai teigia galintys padovanoti žmogui net sąmonės kelionę į kitą šalį.

Bloga karma?

„Valau organizmą nuo šlakų, nuo susikaupusios kenksmingos energijos. Moterims padedu susigražinti žavesį, numesti svorį, pakelti organizmo tonusą. Koreguoju biolauką, šalinu pažeidimus“, - panašių skelbimų internete galima rasti ne vieną.

„Parapsichologė gydo nuo streso, baimės priepuolių, nemigos, padidinto nervingumo, depresinių būsenų, savigarbos, savirealizacijos problemų, energijos išsekimo po įvairių ligų, problemų susijusių su vaikais: mokymosi, šeimyninių santykių“, - žadama kitame skelbime.

Kas slepiasi už šių teiginių? Pas Vilniaus rajone gyvenančią ekstrasensę apsilankiusi 35 metų vilnietė Raminta tikina, kad rezultatas tikrai pranoko jos lūkesčius.

„Buvau nusiteikusi gan skeptiškai – kas iš to, kad ji rankomis virš manęs mosikuoja. Ji beveik nekalbėjo. Pasakė tik tiek, kad manyje susikaupė neigiama mūsų giminės moterų karma. Tuomet susiraukiau. Tačiau vėliau pergalvojau savo šeimos istoriją ir pastebėjau, kad iš tiesų mūsų šeimos moterys būna nelaimingos. Aš pati esu išsiskyrusi, vaikų neturiu“, - atviravo pašnekovė.

Pasak moters, netrukus jos gyvenimas ėmė keistis – ją pradėjo pastebėti žmonės, kurie anksčiau nekreipdavo dėmesio. „Smagiausia, kad aplinkiniai man tapo geranoriškesni. Anksčiau nuolat atsirasdavo žmonių, kuriuos erzindavau, tačiau negalėdavau suprasti – kodėl“, - pasakojo Raminta. Šiuos pokyčius ji sieja su apsilankymu pas ekstrasensę.

Hipnozės metu – kelionė į Paryžių

Parapsichologų asociacijos prezidentas Audrius Dineika taip pat tiki neišsemiamomis žmogaus galiomis. „Nepatikėtumėte, ką įmanoma padaryti su žmonėmis, kokios yra hipnozės galimybės. Pavyzdžiui, galima nusiųsti žmogų į kitus kraštus“, - tikino parapsichologas.

Anot jo, 30 proc. žmonių vėliau savo potyrius prisimena, kitiems atsiminti jis gali padėti savo galių dėka. „Kartais per pobūvius žmonės manęs prašo, kad nusiųsčiau juos, pavyzdžiui, į Paryžių pasigrožėti miesto vaizdais iš Eifelio bokšto ar kur nors į Niujorką. Kodėl gi ne – galiu tai padaryti“, - atviravo pašnekovas.

A. Dineika prasitarė, kad šiuo jo sugebėjimu savo laiku naudotasi ir krašto apsaugos sistemoje, žvalgyboje.

„Hipnotizuoti mokėjau nuo pirmos klasės, tačiau užsiėmiau hipnoze tik maždaug prieš 20 metų. Dažniausiai žmonės kreipiasi prašydami užkoduoti nuo alkoholio ir padėti nuo nervų ligų. Vienas vyras buvo užsikodavęs 5 metams. Tačiau po 3 metų paskambino ir paprašė mėnesiui atkoduoti. Mat vyko atostogauti ir norėjo žvejodamas atsipalaiduoti. Įvykdžiau jo prašymą“, - apie savo darbo kuriozus pasakojo A. Dineika.

Paklaustas, ar žmogus po atostogų vėl nepradėjo gerti, parapsichologas patikino, kad jis buvo atkoduotas lygiai mėnesiui.

Nors psichologai teigia, kad hipnozė nėra visagalė ir tėra kompleksinio gydymo dalis, be to, ją gali taikyti tik žmogaus psichologinius mechanizmus išmanantis specialistas, A. Dineika šiuo klausimu turi savo nuomonę.

„Hipnozei diplomas nereikalingas. Čia labai paprastas dalykas – tu sugebi hipnotizuoti arba ne. Jei Dievo neduota, jokios žinios ir diplomai nepadės“, - teigė pašnekovas. Jis įsitikinęs, kad žmonėms hipnozė visiškai nepavojinga, nors ir neatmeta galimybės, kad norint pakenkti įmanoma.

Kita vertus, tarp psichologų vyrauja nuomonė, kad hipnozės būsenoje žmogus niekada nedarys to, ko jis nedarytų gyvenime. Pavyzdžiui, priversti padaryti nusikaltimą, jeigu jis nelinkęs nusikalsti, neįmanoma.

Beje, pasaulyje hipnozė naudojama labai plačiai – ne tik įvairių nervų ligų gydymui, bet ir skausmui malšinti.

Žmonėms trūksta informacijos

„Dvidešimt dviejose ES valstybėse įstatymais aiškiai apibrėžta, kas gali teikti psichologinę pagalbą, numatyta licenzijų išdavimo bei jų atėmimo tvarka. Pas mus tokio įstatymo nėra, todėl ir klesti visokie biurai, kuriuose psichikos problemų turinčius žmones konsultuoja parapsichologais pasivadinę žmonės.

Klesti pas mus visokie burtininkai, užkalbėtojai, karmų ardytojai, aurų lopytojai – ko tik neprisigalvoja. Net vėžį gydo“, - sunerimęs dėl neįprastų „sielos gydytojų“ teigė Seimo narys Vytautas Čepas.

Anot parlamentaro, kuris ir užregistravo psichologinę veiklą reglamentuojantį įstatymo projektą, jų populiarumas susijęs su mūsų abejingumu žmogaus gyvybei ir sveikatai. „Juk dantis taisome, o sielos gydyti einame pas ką papuola“, - svarstė pašnekovas.

Netradiciniai gydymai remiasi nuostata, kad žmogus skleidžia tam tikrą energiją. V. Čepas su tuo visiškai sutinka. Tačiau kaip šią energiją valdyti, tramdyti, kokią įtaką ji turi ligų atsiradimui, anot jo, mokslas dar neišsiaiškino.

„Įstatymas nekalba apie tai, kad juos visus reikėtų uždrausti, tačiau būtina, kad žmonės aiškiai žinotų, pas ką eina – pas licencijuotą psichologą ar kažkokį parapsichologą, kuris teigia esantis kažkokios akademijos, apie kurią niekas negirdėjo, akademiku. Jei žmogus nori eiti pas šarlataną – tai jo valia“, - svarstė V. Čepas.

Tiesa, jis neatmeta galimybės, kad padėti gali ir vadinamieji šarlatanai. „Kaip psichologas, žinau, kad kartais padeda neįtikėtini dalykai. Juk dažniausiai žmogui trūksta tik bendravimo, šilumos, supratimo“, - teigė pašnekovas.

V. Čepas neatmeta galimybės, kad yra žmonių, kurie jaučia daugiau nei kiti, tačiau tai nereiškia, kad jie turi teisę konsultuoti. „Jei žmogus atidaro būrimo saloną – tegu sau. Juk nieko jis nedaro – kortas pamėto, tiek tos psichologijos. O visokie užkeikimai, maudynių ritualai... Na, žmogus išsimaudė, pabuvo kitoje aplinkoje, tai ir pasijuto geriau“, - šmaikštavo parlamentaras.

Anot jo, griežčiausia tvarka yra Danijoje, kurioje už psichologinę praktiką be licenzijos net gresia kalėjimas. Beje, šioje šalyje registruota mažiausiai savižudybių ES.

Dirbti su savimi nepatrauklu

Psichikos sveikatos centro vadovo Martyno Marcinkevičiaus nuomonė šiuo klausimu dar griežtesnė – tai aferistai arba žmonės, patys turintys didelių psichikos problemų. „Jei žmogus kažką mąsto, kažkuo tiki, tai yra gerbtina, tačiau tokio oficialaus mokslo, kaip parapsichologija, nėra“, - teigė pašnekovas.

Anot psichiatro, žmogaus psichiką gali gydyti netgi ne kiekvienas psichologas. Tam ir reikalingas įstatymas, kuris paprastam žmogui padėtų susigaudyti.

„Psichologines problemas žmogui spręsti gali padėti ir eilinis psichologas. Tačiau jis neturi pakankamai žinių, kad galėtų gydyti psichikos ligą, kai reikia ne tik konsultacijų, bet ir medikamentų. Todėl susiduriame su atvejais, kai žmogus daug metų vaikšto pas psichologą ir galiausiai patenka į ligoninę jau su užleistais ligos simptomais“, - apgailestavo M. Marcinkevičius.

Beje, M. Marcinkevičius neneigia įvairių rytietiškų praktikų – jogos, meditacijų naudos. Jų dėka žmogus atsipalaiduoja, nusiramina.

„Blogiausia, kai žmogui prižadami nerealūs dalykai, jis apgaudinėjimas, iš jo imami pinigai, o problema gilėja, - įsitikinęs pašnekovas. – Žinoma, stebuklai patrauklūs. Kai žmogus ateina pas sąžiningą specialistą, jis sužino, kad teks dirbti pačiam, reikės investuoti daug pastangų ir laiko. Tai sudėtingas ir nemalonus procesas. Smagiau girdėti, kad visos problemos bus išspręstos per kelis seansus. Žmonės už tai pasiruošę mokėti didžiulius pinigus“.

Įvairūs tyrimai rodo, kad psichikos problemų, kurias galima diagnozuoti kaip ligą, pasaulyje turi nuo 24 iki 33 proc. žmonių. Tai nereiškia, kad kas ketvirtas pasaulio gyventojas pastoviai serga, tačiau bent sykį gyvenime ligos požymiai pasireiškia – pavyzdžiui, kaip potrauminis sutrikimas ar depresija.

Lietuva šiuo aspektu priskiriama prie aukštos rizikos šalių, taigi pas mus vienu ar kitu gyvenimo momentu turi mažesnių ar didesnių psichikos problemų turi apie 30 proc. žmonių
