Here's the recap for the Gossip Girl season finale, Much I Do About Nothing, courtesy of Buddy TV staff writer, Don Williams:

"Last week on Gossip Girl, we all gave a collective shrug as Serena admitted that she witnessed a drug overdose and left a man for dead. After she made peace with her actions, the extraordinary trio of Chuck, Blair, and Nate (Chace Crawford) decided to give Georgina the beat down of her life. However, the supremely evil diva managed to evade capture, and instead put the moves on poor, unsuspecting Dan. Meanwhile, Lily took her lips on a trip down memory lane by making out with Rufus. Will her indiscretion affect her impending marriage to Bart Bass?

To prepare for tonight's season finale, I've broken out a black headband, a multicolored scarf, white leggings, and a gin martini. It's time to wish the Upper East Siders a very scandalous summer.

Serena is trying to make up for going all Marissa on Dan (Penn Badgley) by filling up his voice mail with messages. When that doesn't work, she decides to drop in on him instead. Meanwhile, Lily and Rufus have just finished with a night of passionate boot knocking. Lily is understandably freaked out by this turn of events, but Rufus is just excited that Lincoln Hawk has landed a gig.

Speaking of Lincoln Hawk, is that name a reference to the Sylvester Stallone arm wrestling classic Over the Top? Considering that Josh Schwartz previously dropped Over the Top references on The O.C., I'm going to pretend it is.

Blair (Leighton Meester) wakes up next to Chuck and immediately smacks him. They fell asleep together while plotting against Georgina, and though Chuck was supposed to stay on the floor, he of course made his way to the bed in the middle of the night. While they bicker like old divorcees, Nate makes plans for his dad to meet Vanessa. His dad gets a call from someone he claims is his sponsor, but their conversation sounds far from innocent.

Serena (Blake Lively) arrives at Dan's place and finds that Georgina has spent the night. This episode has only been on for five minutes and it's already supremely scandalous! Georgina, or Sarah, plays the innocent schoolgirl card, but S freaks out and calls her a crazy, manipulative bitch. After G takes off, S spills the entire drug overdose story, and also explains that Georgina is nuttier than a Snickers bar. Serena still wants to believe that she's meant to be with Dan, but he has to think about things.

Bart asks Lily (Kelly Rutherford) if he should sell the old building he loves, but it's really just a sly way to ask her if she'd be willing to forget about Rufus. She says she will. At Blair's place, she's teamed up with Dan to plot against Georgina. D gets G on the phone, tells her that he wants to end things with Serena, and asks if she'll meet with him. Georgina falls right into his trap.

At their spot by the lake, G tries to pretend that S is the crazy one, but Dan is too smart to believe her. While they talk, Blair arrives along with Georgina's parents. It seems like the old folks are the only thing that strikes fear into G's evil little heart. Blair goes over a laundry list of Georgina's misdeeds, including the time she sold her prized horse for cocaine, and produces a brochure for a boot camp for bad girls. As Blair kisses Georgina goodbye, she says, "Haven't you heard? I'm the crazy bitch around here." This is the moment when I throw my black headband into the air in celebration, then down my gin martini in one gulp. You go Blair!

After Serena tells Dan that Lily stayed away from Rufus (Matthew Settle) because she asked her to, Dan passes the news on to his dad. However, that doesn't change the fact that Lincoln Hawk is going on tour and Lily is marrying Bart. At the wedding, Blair tells Chuck that she successfully destroyed Georgina, and that she now has no use for him. She even gives Chuck a kick in the shin to get her point across.

Chuck (Ed Westwick) witnesses Mr. Archibald doing some sort of shady exchange on the street. He hands a guy some cash and gets a rather large envelope in return. When will the people on this show learn not to do their scandalous deeds in the middle of the sidewalk? Meanwhile, Rufus walks in on Lily and asks if she wants him to interrupt the wedding. It's a nice romantic gesture, but Lily has a hundred reasons why it can't happen.

I really don't agree with the dresses that Serena and Blair are wearing in this episode, but that's not important. What is important is that Dan didn't sleep with Georgina. That's kind of too bad, because I was hoping G would return from boot camp all knocked up and claiming that Dan was the baby daddy. Wouldn't that have been awesome?

It's time for the wedding. Lily tells Rufus she loves him, then walks down the aisle and officially becomes Mrs. Bart Bass. At the reception afterwards, Serena is a bit pissed that Dan nearly slept with Georgina, and Chuck fills Nate in on his dad's shady deal. Nate doesn't want to believe him, but because he still loves Chuck deep down inside, he listens to him.

Nate's dad wasn't buying drugs earlier. He was buying a fake passport so he could flee the country and avoid his trial. He tells Nate that he has to step up and become the man of the family, and N gives him a swift punch in the face as a retort. Nate apologizes to Chuck, and they officially make up, shake hands, and rekindle their bromance. Vanessa arrives just in time to overhear some of the drama.

Serena tells Dan that she doesn't want to break up with him, but Dan doesn't feel the same way. S lied to him over and over again, and he's not sure that's something he can forgive. Serena tries to explain things, but Dan doesn't see how things can ever go back to normal. They're officially done for, at least until next season.

It's time for Chuck's toast at the reception. He uses his time in the spotlight to talk about the need for perseverance and forgiveness when it comes to romance, which is his way of apologizing to Blair. They share a dance and a kiss afterwards, where Chuck tells her that she obviously never belonged with Nate. He even tells her that they should do things right and not rush back into the sack. This is the moment where I throw my multicolored scarf into the air and dance a little jig.

I completely forgot about Jenny (Taylor Momsen). She's landed an internship at Parsons for the summer under Eleanor Waldorf. Oh God, she's going to come back more corrupted than ever! Meanwhile, Blair and Chuck are planning a trip to Europe, while Nate and Vanessa have called things off. Dan refers to Nate as "Man-Bangs," which is a great nickname for him. It looks like D and V are going to spend the summer in Brooklyn together.

S runs into N on the sidewalk, and they share a friendly moment together. Will they hook up again over the long summer months? Chuck says goodbye to his dad, who tells him that he'll soon learn about responsibility, sacrifice, and faithfulness now that he's with Blair. Chuck seems horrified by this possibility, as am I. The bad boy is simply too fabulous to settle down with one woman.

As the episode comes to a close, C seduces his interior designer, Amelia. His pickup line? "I'm Chuck Bass." While Blair is waiting at the airstrip, she strikes up a flirtation with one of the Bass employees. It looks like those two weren't meant for each other after all.

The first season of Gossip Girl wraps up with every character pursuing something, or someone, new. You know you love it. XOXO. See you in September!"

So, what do you think of the season finale? Aaaarrrgh, I'm still not over the ending. I'm pretty sure Josh Schwartz and the writers did it on purpose so that we all have something to look forward to next season. But do they really have to "kill" the Blair-Chuck moment? Can't they do it next season? I mean, the last Blair-Chuck moment that I was giddy over was Episode 10: Hi Society. Remember this scene?

After 8 episodes, Blair-Chuck shippers like yours truly got our wish of seeing the two getting it on. But I'm still not over the ending, hmmph!!!! :(

Last week's episode of Gossip Girl was so wonderfully awesome that it nearly caused my little scandal-loving heart to burst.  Eric came out of the closet in front of all of his peers after he was caught making out with Jenny's scummy boyfriend, Asher.  Jenny (Taylor Momsen) was promptly ostracized from the clique after they realized that she lied about swiping her V card, leaving Blair as the winner of the social war.  In the biggest shocker of the evening, Serena let Blair in on the deep, dark secret from her past: she killed someone!

Tonight, Serena's bad girl side finally reemerges, which helps Nate and Chuck take steps to rekindle their bromance.

Actually, it did run a little shorter than would be ideal, but that's cause we had to start later. The PIT had to turn many people away, and put out extra chairs for others. In fact, when Ces and I got up there at around 7:20 PM, there were already people milling around, some of whom had been told the show had sold out but were waiting around to see if they could get standby tickets.

Amazing, right?

The show was an utter delight. Richard Lawson, Jon Friedman, Jiwon Li (as Nan Zhang), Jen Kwok, Heather Fink, Francesco Marciuliano, Diana Saez, and Rya Backer did an absolute bang-up job of being pithy, witty, funny and saucy when it came to the subject of America's Greatest Television Program. Michael Cirelli was a great house manager, and Michael Newman was a great tech dude. Teresa Bass made it all happen by giving the green light to this insane event that I termed "like a Star Wars convention, but for hot people."

Diana's introductory video, co-starring New York scribe Chris Rovzar of the Daily Intelligencer, was extraordinarily fun AND informative. I'll post a link once I get it up on YouTube.

And publicist Hillary Buckholtz worked magic and got us big ups in the New York Observer, Village Voice, and Metromix.com. Richard Lawson (a.k.a. LOLCait) mentioned us on Gawker.com in a post that has to date reached over 30,000 views (is it any wonder we sold out within 24 hours of the Gawker post?)

Each attendee received a complimentary white cloth headband, and complimentary cupcakes were available (Francesco went out and got 72 of them earlier in the day!) The panelists had free wine and beer, and quite a few of the audience members bought wine and beer at the front desk at the PIT.

All in all, a thrilling night of magic, and I'm certainly going to bring it back in anticipation of the season premiere--albeit perhaps at a larger venue. I adore the PIT, and I think it is the warmest and best venue for live comedy in the city--and it also has the best classes in writing, improvisation, and everything else--but it only seats about 65 people, and the hordes who didn't get in were alternately depressed and pissed. Also next time we've got to go longer than 45 minutes...I'm thinking an hour and a half would be better, if we keep it moving with video clips, even more audience prizes (this time I gave away iTunes giftcards, Starbucks giftcards, and PORN!), and more in-depth discussion and debate.

Also, I made an Edward Said reference during a question about GG's fetishization of the Asian female, and the mention was a personal victory for me as I had been determined to work Said's landmark tome Orientalism into a question. And then I only let Jen Kwok answer it, because I wanted to show reverse racism in a response to Josh Schwartz letting Kati Farks/Nan Zhang say basically three words for the entire first season (before the actress left the show and "went to Brown," yeah right. That's just a bullshit excuse they're giving because they think that because Zhang is Asian, the viewers will OF COURSE believe she left the best show on television to go to an Ivy League school. It's a transparently racist attempt to throw off the masses from the reality that someone on the show didn't like her. Next they'll tell us Isobel is leaving to follow her lifelong dream of picking cotton. I CALL BULLSHIT, SCHWARTZ.)

I also felt good about getting to work out some of my Trachtenberg-related ish, bestowing the verb to Trachtenburgle ("to come on a previously brilliant and amazing show and irrevocably fuck it up") upon the world. The evening was very healing for me in that regard.

So thanks to those who were there in person and there in spirit. It was a really good time.

Quem esperava, quando Gossip Girl começou tímida e sem personalidade (e à sombra de tantos queridos dramas teen), que a série fosse dar uma guinada tão sombria? Nem é tanto sobre os acontecimentos, mas sobre o caminho que os personagens tomaram. Quando All About My Brother terminou, eu não pude evitar sentir-me um pouco deprimida.
S, que começou a série sem sal nem açúcar, e que se tonou querida com o tempo, guardou todo esse tempo o segredo de um assassinato. As circunstâncias ainda são desconhecidas, e eu quero saber mais antes de falar, mas GG pode ter ido longe demais na tentativa de chocar. Sim, Georgina é mais perigosa do que a julgamos, e Serena está em problemas maiores do quê muita gente imaginou. É uma boa story line. Mas vão conseguir segurá-la? GG é um show que vai ao ar às oito da noite na TV aberta americana, portanto o tratamento que vai ser dado a esse assunto está me preocupando. Se for pra fazer igual a bulimia de Blair, era melhor que canonizassem Serena e pronto. Se querem falar de assassinato, é melhor falarmos de causas e conseqüências. Principalmente conseqüências. Lembro que em The O.C. os personagens iam para a delegacia e se livravam por causa de uma coisa, ou outra. Eram acidentes, ok. Mas GG quer mesmo dizer a adolescentes impressionáveis, num país onde jovens e até mesmo crianças matarem nem é tão incomum assim, que se você não tiver a intenção pode escapar com um tapa na mão por tirar a vida de alguém? Por outro lado, prender sua protagonista não é bem uma opção, né?
Falando de impunidade, não dá pra acreditar na condescendência de Rufus em relação a Jenny. Ela pisou nele, o desrespeitou, voltou chorando e está tudo resolvido. Eu teria levado, no mínimo, um tapa na cara. Não sou a rainha do politicamente correto nem nada, mas uma coisa eu aprendi desde cedo. Respeito é mútuo. E isso é sagrado. Sua queda do Olimpo? Foi menos do que a loirinha mereceu. Afinal, achou que podia jogar o jogo de dissimulação, e o fez bem por um tempo, mas ela nunca teve a força pra isso, não é? No fim, apesar de ela ser uma bitch, eu senti um pouco de pena dela. Todos nós já nos perdemos em algum momento da nossa vida. Já descobrimos que aquilo que achávamos que era uma coisa , era outra.
A volta de Queen B foi triunfante. Blair teve dúvidas, mas ela é a mais persistente de todas, e no fim, ela é a única mesmo que tem o que é preciso para guiar o rebanho de ovelhas idiotas que são suas pseudo-amigas; obviamente não é preciso muito para meninas que gritam como se tivessem doze anos porquê sua amiguinha está namorando um garoto rico e bonito (principalmente porquê elas são todas garotas ricas e bonitas), mas é bom ver Blair de volta ao controle. Georgina pode ser perigosa, mas Blair é a bitch que amamos. Mas novamente na curva perigosa, quando Blair conversa com Jenny, ela tripudia, mas há certa tristeza em seu semblante. O ótimo trabalho de Leighton Meester expressando as complexas emoções de sua personagem deixaram algo em aberto, Blair também sabe se o preço é muito alto pra pagar. Se vale a pena. Por Blair eu sinto mais do que por Jenny, afinal, a Waldorf não vê que pode haver outra vida.
Mas ainda assim o momento que mais me deprimiu no episódio inteiro tem que ser a cena na loja de noivas, em que Lily prova seu vestido e Rufus fica abalado. Meu casal favorito está de volta. O quê posso dizer além de que todas as cenas entre os dois são simplesmente perfeitas? E num episódio com tantas boas atuações, Kelly Rutherford conseguiu ser a melhor (e isso não é só porquê sou puxa-saco dela). A cena do espelho foi fantástica em sua sutileza, mas ainda há as cenas com Eric e com Rufus ao telefone, em que ela pede conselho sobre como proceder em relação ao filho gay (esqueci de mencionar isso, não? Já falo...) que foram absolutamente tocantes.
Quanto ao casal gay, eu não sei quem não sabia ainda, mas eu já conhecia todos os detalhes e já tinha conseguido preencher as demais lacunas na minha mente (eu ando tentando uma tática nova: ler spoilers de GG pra não ler os de LOST. Não tem funcionado muito bem. Aceito sugestões). Eric e Asher eram um casal, não muito bombástico, mas como eu disse lá em cima, no Upper East Side castelos são de vidros e homossexualismo ainda choca. Ou não. Afinal a única ridicularizada foi Jenny Humprey. Pelo menos, ela sabe quando jogar a toalha.

"Someone is spreading rumors about Blair and Jenny, but who?

Jenny is busy lying to her dad about a party that she's planning, but he saw the website for her shindig and knows what she's up to. He decides to think about things before confronting her.

Eric wants to know why Jenny hasn't been returning his calls. Jenny thinks he's jealous of Asher and is flattered E has a crush on her.

Unfortunately, she's already madly in love with Asher.

Across town, Georgina, under her fake name Sarah, has become pals with Dan (Penn Badgley) and Vanessa. She mentions that she would just love to meet Serena, who she's, like, totally never met before in her life. Dan runs the idea by S, but she's too busy studying to take her SATs. They plan a big dinner for the next night instead. As Dan walks out of the school, he sees Asher making out with... somebody. Male.

Rufus turns to none other than Lily for advice about Jenny (Taylor Momsen). He knows she's been lying, but Lily (Kelly Rutherford) tells him that she'll come back to him soon. The meeting turns awkward as Rufus sees Lily try on her wedding dress.

Dan decides to confront Asher with the news that he saw him making out with a guy, but Asher gets all defensive and homophobic. Jenny interrupts and immediately takes her boyfriend's side.

Dan asks Blair (Leighton Meester) and Serena for some advice, and B tells her that Jenny's only gonna believe the scandal if she hears it straight from Gossip Girl. Soon enough, everyone in school knows that Asher was caught making out with a guy. Gossip is great, but Blair is determined to get some evidence. Photo evidence.

Blair's girls steal Asher's (Jesse Swenson) phone and forward all of his incoming e-mails to Blair's inbox. Jenny is feeling awkward about her boyfriend's possible homosexuality. She confronts him, and he tells her that he's only dating her so she'll look good in front of her friends.

In case there aren't enough scandals in this episode, Serena (Blake Lively) receives a video full of debauchery from Georgina. In the video, we hear G telling some guy to set a camera up, and then it sounds like a (gulp) threesome going on.

What the heck did our girl do?

Gossip Girl then has more news:

Jenny apparently lost her virginity to Asher. Dan is furious, but Jenny explains that it's a lie concocted to cover up the gay rumors. Later, Jenny tries to leave for her party, but Rufus (Matthew Settle) tells her he knows she's been lying to him.

He tries to keep her from going, but she takes off anyway. Uh oh.

At a dinner with the van der Woodsens that she showed up unannounced for, Georgina throws Eric out of the closet and tells Serena and Lily that she saw him making out with a guy. Eric admits to it by refusing to deny it, and Lily is shocked by the news.

Serena tells Eric (Connor Paolo) that she'll be there for him no matter what, and E admits that he met Asher at the Ostroff Clinic.

Then, Serena meets up with Dan and "Sarah." S quickly sends Dan for a cup of coffee, then asks G what the hell she's up to. Apparently Serena didn't even know the sex tape existed. Georgina threatens to show it to Dan if S doesn't remain on "her best behavior." OMG!

Not only is Eric crashing Asher's party, but B is too. She gives Asher his cell phone back and tells him that she knows his secret.

That's when Eric steps up, admits he's gay, and tells everyone at the party that he was the one making out with Asher. Blair quickly sends the e-mail proof over to Gossip Girl, and soon Jenny's friends turn on her.

Lily apologizes to Eric for her reaction earlier. She admits she's scared and wants to protect him, and they share a nice moment together.

Jenny and Blair talk, and J admits B won the social war. Jenny no longer wants to lie to family and friends. Ending up like Blair Waldorf just isn't worth it.

Dan and Serena are having another argument, all due to S' refusal to tell the truth. She tries to convince him "Sarah" is untrustworthy, but he thinks she's nuts since she just met her.

After Dan takes off, Georgina (Michelle Trachtenberg) admits that she just wants to be friends with Serena again. It isn't long, of course, before she's talking of blackmail and destruction yet again.

Jenny returns home in tears, having broken her dad's trust and lied many times, but he forgives her anyway. Across town, Serena can't take it any longer and finally tells Blair her big secret: she killed somebody."

Sometimes I just wish Serena would end up with Nate and Dan with Vanessa. (Of course, a Chuck and Blair tandem is a given, no ifs and no buts, haha). D and S are getting so annoying together, it would be refreshing to see them with different partners for a change:

A real life socialite, Lydia Hearst, will appear in a guest role for Gossip Girl's finale. She will play the role of Amelia, Lily and Bart's interior designer for their apartment. She will also reportedly have a "moment" with Chuck. But knowing Chuck, it would obviously be just a fling or even a one-night stand so Blair-Chuck fans like me need not worry, hehe. But Chuck better behave. Blair will surely not like it:

By the way, the main cast of Gossip Girl was cited by People magazine as one of the world's Most Beautiful for its current issue. Hooray!

If you don't like spoilers, then stop reading this. This is a very detailed recap of Gossip Girl Episode 14: The Blair Bitch Project, quoted verbatim from the GossipGirlInsider site:

"It's a new day and a harsh reality for Blair Waldorf (Leighton Meester), having been dethroned as the school's social queen. Serena tells Blair that her scandal is old news, but this proves to be wishful thinking as poor Blair is pelted with yogurt as she walks up the school steps.

The culprit? Jenny, who has assimilated into Blair's old clique, for better or worse.

Nate (Chace Crawford) tries to warn Jenny that the clique will turn on her as they did Blair, but little J doesn't heed his warning. Serena tries to tell Blair that she'll bounce back more quickly if she's nice, and so she encourages B to attend J's birthday party.

Serena's got her own set of problems, though. Well, one. Her future step-sibling Chuck (Ed Westwick), is all up in her bathroom and cramping her style. It gets worse when she receives a mysterious package full of porn and handcuffs that she assumes is his doing. He denies it, however.

Blair shows up at the hot club Butter for J's big party, but Jenny and the gang are actually holding the shindig elsewhere. It was a trick to shame the former Queen Bee.

But J runs into her own issues... short on cash to run with this crowd, so she yoinks some stuff out of her friend's closet and trades it in for a wicked nice dress.

Serena receives another mysterious package: three cases of champagne in front of the school. Again, fingers are pointed at Chuck.

Out for revenge, Blair goes to see Rufus (Matthew Settle) to warn him that it'll be tough for his daughter to keep up with these popular girls. She offers to help in any way she can - she's so NICE!

Blair is up to something.

Meanwhile, Jenny's friend notices that a one-of-a-kind Valentino dress is missing from her mom's closet so J freaks and tries to return it - but no dice. The clerk can't accept the return. J panics, calls Nate and asks for $8,000. She hangs up before explaining why, then steals the Valentino back by wearing it under her clothes instead.

Lily (Kelly Rutherford) is worried about these packages Serena is getting and assumes her daughter is acting out. Serena instead blames Chuck.

Across town, Blair has organized a surprise party at Jenny's place. Little J is a bit freaked out when she walks in and sees the entire gang. Jenny desperately tries to change out of the Valentino dress before anyone sees, but gets busted. Realizing that Jenny is a thief, the posses abandons her and follows Blair to Butter.

When Rufus demands to know where she got the dress, Jenny breaks down and whines about how poor they are. While this is going on, Nate tracks down Dan and tells her about Jenny's phone call.

Meanwhile, Serena is distressed by the fact that Eric is hanging out with Chuck - and by another small package that arrives for her with no return address, this time full of of cocaine. Serena freaks.

Serena again blames Chuck, but he's busy getting kicked out of the pad by Bart, who also assumes he's behind this string of bad behavior.

At Butter, Blair waits for the gang to arrive, worried that they're going to ditch her again. This time they show up. Queen B is back.

While Dan and Rufus discuss what to do about Jenny, she escapes, goes to see Nate and asks him to take her to Butter. They sit down at B's table, and the gang, impressed by J's ability to bring Nate (who one of the cronies has a thing for), forgive her for the dress theft.

Looks like the Jenny-Blair rivalry is just beginning.

Serena's next mystery package finally reveals that lo and behold, it's not Chuck tormenting her. It's a letter from "G," who owns up to sending all the goodies, and says she'll be coming back to town.

Serena's past is coming back to haunt her. She apologizes to Chuck, shows him the letter, and he invites her in for a drink."

Last but not least, Taylor Momsen (Jenny), Penn Badgley (Dan), Nicole Fiscella (Isabel) and Nan Zhang (Kati) strut their stuff in this vid. With the appearance of Zhang, this is another proof that this is an old footage since she will no longer appear in the upcoming episodes of Gossip Girl. The actress reportedly enrolled at Brown University during the Writer's Strike last year without informing the people behind the series.

Chuck/Ed's actually composing a love song dedicated to yours truly as proof of his unwavering affection and devotion. {This is my blog so I will write whatever I want to write, kapeesh? LOL}

The new Gossip Girl character, Georgina Sparks (Buffy alum Michelle Trachtenberg), has been spotted on the New York set of our favorite series. Trachtenberg plays a girl fresh from rehab who goes back to the Upper East Side and torments Blake Lively's character, Serena van der Woodsen. And speaking of Serena, Michael Ausiello of the TV Guide once again gives us tidbits regarding "insider scoop" on Gossip Girl. He said that Blake Lively told him that the real reason why Serena left the Upper East Side wasn't because she slept with Nate. He coyly stated that Michelle's character holds the key to that little secret.

As for the gay character coming out, Michael opined, "My loose lips are sealed. Except to say that in the first two episodes back, the individual in question will come out, get a love interest and make out with said love interest --- and not necessarily in that order."

For the nth time, let it not be Chuck!!!! If it's going to be him, I will be borrowing Drew Barrymore's line from Ever After, screaming "I'd rather die a thousand deaths!!!!!!". Yeah right, haha.

By the way, my friend also heard that Jenny Humphrey (Taylor Momsen) will be involved with a dog walker while Nate Archibald (Chace Crawford) will hook up with a hooker (ehe, pun intended). So I guess that leaves Chuck and Dan as the probable candidates for the gay character. But wait, let's not forget Eric van der Woodsen (Paolo Connor) and what the heck, let's also include Rufus Humphrey (Matthew Settle) and Bart Bass as well. That being said, I say and still hope and will pray to the high heavens that it's going to be Eric.

Of course this post wouldn't be complete without new pictures taken from the GG set. I love this candid pic showing Chuck sucking his fingers. Haha, I'm thinking dirty thoughts! I kid, I kid, LOL!!!!!

For each of the events, they start off with a clip from the Paley vault, from a show which they feel is similar. Tonight the clip was from My So Called Life. There was a lot of applause, though I'm sure none of the people applauding actually saw the show when it aired. I twittered that I was pretty sure I was at least 3x the age of everyone else attending. I was glad to see afterwards that wasn't the case. After the clip moderator, Tim Stack, from Entertainment weekly introduced Josh Schwartz and Stephanie Savage who welcomed everyone and introduced the clip reel from GG.

After the clip reel and bonus outtakes, Tim Stack came back on and introduced the panel. In attendance were Jessica Szohr (Vanessa), Taylor Momsen (Jenny), Bob Levy (producer), Matthew Settle (Papa Humphrey), Kelly Rutherford (Mama Van Der Woodsen), Ed Westwick (Chuck), Chase Crawford (Nate), Penn Badgley (Dan), Leighton Meester (Blair), Blake Lively (Serena), Cecily von Ziegesar (author), Stephanie Savage and Josh Schwartz (Exec Producers).

Tim cracked me up when he started off addressing Blake and Leighton reminding them of the first time he interviewed them which was in bed. He exclaimed that this was the first time he had been in bed with a woman, much less TWO. Tim then started gushing about Blake's "Gorgeous" hair. This was the first of MANY references to her fantastic hair. I swear, someone in the audience is going to get her a Pantene deal if she doesn't have one already.

Tim asked Cecily about her books and how they compare to the show. Cecily said that the books were based on herself and her friends, kind of. Josh and Stephanie then fielded the inevitable OC comparison question. Josh said that he hadn't heard of the books but was sent them. He read the first one and knew it was something he wanted to be involved with. Stephanie said that she experienced a bit of trepidation with having another teen show, but was confident it would be great. Tim joked about doing research a la "Never Been Kissed." Josh said that was all on Stephanie cause he would have just been thrown in jail if he tried to pull that off.

Leighton talked about how she got involved with the project. She read for it and thought "I'm Blair." Problem was that she was blonde at the time. Even the network said, "...but she's blonde." She read again in a wig and then eventually with newly dyed brown hair. Stephanie said, "That was a big deal because if you ask an actress to dye her hair during pilot season, you better have a good feeling she's going to get the role." Josh then talked about how every website that he came across during casting kept saying that Blake better be cast. He said he better meet her. Blake then talked about signing six years to play one character and how that was initially scary for her. She said she wasn't even looking to go into TV. Blake then said she laid down some ground rules for her coming on: No snakes, no getting locked in a cage, and no pet monkeys. The monkey thing reared its head several times the rest of the night. More on that later... The rest of the cast talked about the roles that they read for. Chase said that he read for the part of Serena! Ed read for the part of Nate. Penn said that he really didn't want to get into TV again after three other failed series. He brought up "The Mountain." I think two people clapped. Penn pointed toward them and exclaimed, "See?!" In a case of "you really just never know in this town," Jessica talked about how she went to a BBQ with friends and ended up meeting Josh and Stephanie. Stephanie immediately knew she was going to be Vanessa. Stephanie did say that she IMDBed Jessica to make sure she was an actress!

Bob revealed that GG was actually pitched as an hour-long to other networks and as a movie to Fox which obviously never panned out. He said that the key change happened when Josh and Stephanie got involved and gave Serena a drive. They both wanted Serena to play that she wanted to be better - wanted to be a better person. Josh then talked about how GG played at TCA. He got comments that it was all so depraved and that it was the end of Western Civilization!

The 'rents got into the panel action. Kelly talked about shooting in NY. She said that the fans are very vocal. They walk by set in their own uniforms and Hermes bags and shout out love. Tim asked if it was hard to shut down sets. He thought that shooting on the steps of the MET would be especially challenging. Kelly chimed back in that the hard part was shooting in 22 degree weather and the paparazzi. One time in fact she said that paparazzi were following her around. She told them, "I'm the Mom. I'm not worth it!" Tim then compared Lily and Rufus' relationship to the whole "will they and won't they Ross and Rachel situation." Matthew said, "Hey, it's 2008. We should have a double date with the kids!" This garnered a huge "eww... no!" from Blake. Matthew finished by talking about his chemistry with Kelly and stating that their characters are "holding hands on the inside."

Ed got into the action by fielding a question about the scarves his character wears. He started telling a story about he was just out and about in NY and saw a guy wearing a really cool scarf. When he was done Josh said, "All I understood was scarf." We all found out that the actress that plays Cati went back to school at Brown due to the time off with the writer's strike. Chase said, "No really, she's brilliant. She's a molecular biologist or something. I've seen her books on set." Looks like Is is on her own now.

Taylor fielded a question about how Jenny usurped B's throne. Tim hinted at her even going after Nate. She replied, "Well, he's like the older brother not related to her that she MIGHT want to date." Taylor then said that Jenny is learning her power, as evidenced by another girl taking her books in to the library for her towards the end of the last episode. Taylor said, "She wants to be in and she's going to do things to be in." To this Tim asked Leighton if it was more fun playing B as in control or less bitchy? Leighton said a little of both. Eventually talk came around to Blair sleeping with Chuck which Ed said, "Yes! Thank God for that! Two thumbs up!"

Blake talked about Serena and that "she is the way she is because she doesn't have a proper role model - look at her mom." Kelly coughed and said, "excuse me?!" Blake then said that maybe sleeping with Nate wasn't the reason she left. Josh stopped that really quickly. I found that odd because the role that Michelle Trachtenberg just signed on for is supposed to shake things up AND possibly reveal that there was another reason why Serena left. It was all over the trades! At any rate, Blake said that we were in for more bad Serena, even if it might be in flashbacks OR NOT.

Cecily said that, no offense to the cast and creative team, but her expectations were so low for the show. She said, "I'm a New Yorker. I wear tights. What was this going to be? Gossip Girl on the beach where Nate's a lifeguard and Blair's a mom by day and a stripper at night?" She then said that she was pretty pissed off about the changes from the book when she saw the pilot. By episode 2 though, she was fine with it all. The books and the show were two different entities - separate but both cool. Cecily talked about other changes from the book. Oddly enough, Chuck is gay and gets a pet monkey in the books. Blake quasi freaks out and shushes Cecily. Ed says that the monkey must have turned him gay. In the winner of the AWKWARD moment of the night, Cecily brings up how Jenny has huge boobs in the books. Taylor rolls with it and looks down at her chest and smiles. Cecily couldn't leave it at that and says, "Well, you really haven't gone through puberty yet, right?" Taylor seemed a bit OFF after that.

Tim asked Josh, "Where are the gay people on the show?" Josh said that the question he actually gets the most is "Where are the Jews? How are you in New York and there are no Jews?" Here's where the monkey thing comes back again: Josh said that during sweeps they should have a Gay Jewish monkey on the show.

Blake talked about Guitar Hero in the show. Tim asked if she's really good at the game to which Blake responded, "I'm actually pretty incredible at Guitar Hero." Josh says that in the original script, Vanessa KILLS Serena at Guitar Hero. Blake said, "No, you can't take away my guitar hero!" She proved her mettle and there was a re-write. Tim asked what her song was in GH. Blake explained that they are all her songs and actually the secret is that she's AMAZING at MEDIUM. Everyone on stage and off is laughing. Tim says, "Maybe you're not that good then." "NO," Blake exclaims, "I am good. I even entered a tournament in Brooklyn. I can even do flair like twirling the guitar around my neck." Tim asked if her gorgeous hair flailed about when she did this trick. Blake retorted, "Would you even like me if I didn't have good hair?!" This exchanged ended with Josh saying that Medium is the new standard for excellence!

When asked about what affect the strike will have on the show, Stephanie stated, "We're ending in the same place, we're just getting there more quickly." Things to look forward to are: more on the B and Little J war, S and Chuck as siblings, Georgina (Trachtenberg) wreaking havoc and the fact that B FEARS her, and a wedding. I, along with the audience assumed that this was an allusion to Bart and Lily. Josh teased that the wedding might not necessarily be the one that we're expecting. Tim then asked if we're ever going to see GG. Penn says, "Yeah, Veronica Mars. Veronica Mars, right?" Josh then explained that Kristen decided that she was going to be GG. She read the script and she reached out to him and Stephanie.

One of the questions from the audience was whether or not Blake and Leighton get to keep their wardrobes. Both of them talk about how a lot of what they wear is one of a kind and thusly need to go back to the designers. Leighton then says that fans don't really get to see the best part of the wardrobe - SHOES. Leighton said that they really get to wear some fantastic shoes. Penn chimes in, "Well, we should be lifting more legs then?" Hilarious. A bit off, but hilarious.

There was a bit more on the question front from the audience, but this is already getting quite long. I'm sure that a video will surface of the entire affair. The panel ends and there's almost a hesitation from the crowd to approach the stage. No pause from me, but all of a sudden WAVES of people are trying to push past me. It's time to pick my battle time. Oddly enough, Blake made the choice for me. She needed to go off to the ladies. Because of this, EVERYONE converged on Leighton and the boys. I just took some pictures and got out of the way.

I took time to see both Kelly and Jessica as I waited for Blake to return. I've got to say that the TV doesn't do justice to either of these ladies.

Finally Blake returns. The masses that converged on Leighton catch wind of this and switch directions. I felt like I was in pre-pubescent rapids with no boat or paddle. Luckily I positioned myself well and got to meet Blake and talk for just a bit.

I then turned into everyone's photographer as people used me like a fulcrum to get to Blake. I have to say that NONE of the cast was ushered off quickly. I'm pretty sure everyone that was there got stuff signed.

I was able to catch Taylor on the way to the "green room."

Hope you enjoyed the recap. It really was a fun time and I'm sure everyone enjoyed themselves. Can't wait until April 21st. I'm sure you can't either. Go out and tell your friends about GG. Host viewing parties and get everyone caught up. As much buzz as there is with the show, at some point lack of viewers will come into play. Don't let it go down the road of other prematurely ended series, AHEM, Veronica Mars! Get a move on. You've got almost a month. :)

Episode 1.15 - Desperately Seeking Serena [Airing April 28]: Hazel and Penelope try to recruit Nelly Yuki, daughter of a man who owns half of the commercial real estate in Manhattan, to be part of a new club but it's easier said than done. Blair supervises the whole scene. When Nelly breaks down after being reminded of her recent break-up with boyfriend Todd Jansen, the ladies find their way in and have Nelly come to the Waldorf penthouse. Blair invites Todd over. Serena goes out with Georgina but things get bad to the point that Serena thinks one of her drinks was spiked. Nate offers flowers to one of the girls for taking the SAT. Jenny develops a crush on 16-year-old dog-walker Asher Hornsby. Elise, Vanessa, Dan, and Rufus also appear.

Episode 1.16 - All About My Brother [Airing May 5]: Serena wants to confront Georgina but the latter left before Serena could. The latter claims that she and Georgina are not friends.

Episode 1.17 [Airing May 12]: A journalist from Rolling Stone interviews Lily about her work. He shows her a picture she took of Rufus when he was the lead singer of "Lincoln Hawk" and asks her if they were an item at the time. Lily becomes uncomfortable but the journalist keeps pushing. She eventually ends the interview. Lily meets with her wedding planner, Claudette. Vanessa helps out Rufus, who is back on stage with his band. Georgina sets up a camera to have a genuine "van der Woodsen" sex tape. Dan searches for Serena and learns that she didn't sleep in her bed the night before... Bart also appears.

Episode 1.18 (Season finale) [Airing May 19]: Georgina's parents are tired of her antics and tell her that things won't be alright if she doesn't get her act together. Blair is there for support... or is she? The Sparks want to send their daughter to a boot camp for troubled girls. At the wedding, Bart, Lily, Chuck and Eric are all smiles. Things between Dan and Serena aren't that peachy. Rufus surprises Lily in the bridal chamber.
