Now I know I promised in my last post about Victoria Beckham that I wouldn't get political, but I honestly can't help myself. I haven't met Lydia, so I have no idea what she's actually like as a person. But anyone who would write a column like this, in all seriousness, has got to be kidding. I usually just skip over it, but while Dick was watching golf today, I decided to read. There is a photo of her in some lacy red lingerie, with a quote, "You may have seen my new campaign for British lingerie company Myla, which has spawned a bit of mudslinging on the Internet about how I'm Paris Hilton. (Remember: i am a supermodel and I have the award to prove it, and she is a celebrity. There's no comparison.)

There is no comparison, that's one correct statement. Lydia, you are not a supermodel. Lord only knows what "award" you think validates the fact that you're referring to yourself in the company of Naomi Campbell, Kate Moss, and Gisele Bundchen. Supermodels are models that people have actually heard of, models that are well known and internationally recognized. Not models that have to dress in lingerie to get attention. They've both modeled for Heatherette, been on European Vogue covers, designed hideous handbags, experimented in journalism, dabbled in acting, and whored around town. In fact, you might say Paris has come out on top in all those categories.

She's modeled in more campaigns, even for her own brands of perfume, handbags, and jewelery.

She's designed more handbags, and although quite tacky, just as bad as the Puma bags Lydia designed.

She's actually written a book or two, rather than a weekly column.

She's been in several movies, rather than a 2 minute clip on Gossip Girl (being another Chuck Bass victim - and let's face it, he'll fuck anyone).

I'm aware Paris is hardly a role-model, and certainly not someone who needs defending. But the only thing more pathetic than acting like Paris, is dropping Paris's name for publicity.

You know it is almost summer when your favorite shows say goodbye, but usually they go out with a bang. Last night's Gossip Girl was a little underwhelming and I was disappointed that there were no murders, pregnancies, near deaths, or huge secrets revealed (last weeks mild one doesn't count!). Isn't that usually what we get before a show goes into summer hibernation? What mystery am I to live for these next few months?

Thankfully we had some GG fashion to get us through it. BUT I'd like to point out that I don't really think Blair would wear that blue vintage-esque sailor dress. I simply don't!

Here's the recap for the Gossip Girl season finale, Much I Do About Nothing, courtesy of Buddy TV staff writer, Don Williams:

"Last week on Gossip Girl, we all gave a collective shrug as Serena admitted that she witnessed a drug overdose and left a man for dead. After she made peace with her actions, the extraordinary trio of Chuck, Blair, and Nate (Chace Crawford) decided to give Georgina the beat down of her life. However, the supremely evil diva managed to evade capture, and instead put the moves on poor, unsuspecting Dan. Meanwhile, Lily took her lips on a trip down memory lane by making out with Rufus. Will her indiscretion affect her impending marriage to Bart Bass?

To prepare for tonight's season finale, I've broken out a black headband, a multicolored scarf, white leggings, and a gin martini. It's time to wish the Upper East Siders a very scandalous summer.

Serena is trying to make up for going all Marissa on Dan (Penn Badgley) by filling up his voice mail with messages. When that doesn't work, she decides to drop in on him instead. Meanwhile, Lily and Rufus have just finished with a night of passionate boot knocking. Lily is understandably freaked out by this turn of events, but Rufus is just excited that Lincoln Hawk has landed a gig.

Speaking of Lincoln Hawk, is that name a reference to the Sylvester Stallone arm wrestling classic Over the Top? Considering that Josh Schwartz previously dropped Over the Top references on The O.C., I'm going to pretend it is.

Blair (Leighton Meester) wakes up next to Chuck and immediately smacks him. They fell asleep together while plotting against Georgina, and though Chuck was supposed to stay on the floor, he of course made his way to the bed in the middle of the night. While they bicker like old divorcees, Nate makes plans for his dad to meet Vanessa. His dad gets a call from someone he claims is his sponsor, but their conversation sounds far from innocent.

Serena (Blake Lively) arrives at Dan's place and finds that Georgina has spent the night. This episode has only been on for five minutes and it's already supremely scandalous! Georgina, or Sarah, plays the innocent schoolgirl card, but S freaks out and calls her a crazy, manipulative bitch. After G takes off, S spills the entire drug overdose story, and also explains that Georgina is nuttier than a Snickers bar. Serena still wants to believe that she's meant to be with Dan, but he has to think about things.

Bart asks Lily (Kelly Rutherford) if he should sell the old building he loves, but it's really just a sly way to ask her if she'd be willing to forget about Rufus. She says she will. At Blair's place, she's teamed up with Dan to plot against Georgina. D gets G on the phone, tells her that he wants to end things with Serena, and asks if she'll meet with him. Georgina falls right into his trap.

At their spot by the lake, G tries to pretend that S is the crazy one, but Dan is too smart to believe her. While they talk, Blair arrives along with Georgina's parents. It seems like the old folks are the only thing that strikes fear into G's evil little heart. Blair goes over a laundry list of Georgina's misdeeds, including the time she sold her prized horse for cocaine, and produces a brochure for a boot camp for bad girls. As Blair kisses Georgina goodbye, she says, "Haven't you heard? I'm the crazy bitch around here." This is the moment when I throw my black headband into the air in celebration, then down my gin martini in one gulp. You go Blair!

After Serena tells Dan that Lily stayed away from Rufus (Matthew Settle) because she asked her to, Dan passes the news on to his dad. However, that doesn't change the fact that Lincoln Hawk is going on tour and Lily is marrying Bart. At the wedding, Blair tells Chuck that she successfully destroyed Georgina, and that she now has no use for him. She even gives Chuck a kick in the shin to get her point across.

Chuck (Ed Westwick) witnesses Mr. Archibald doing some sort of shady exchange on the street. He hands a guy some cash and gets a rather large envelope in return. When will the people on this show learn not to do their scandalous deeds in the middle of the sidewalk? Meanwhile, Rufus walks in on Lily and asks if she wants him to interrupt the wedding. It's a nice romantic gesture, but Lily has a hundred reasons why it can't happen.

I really don't agree with the dresses that Serena and Blair are wearing in this episode, but that's not important. What is important is that Dan didn't sleep with Georgina. That's kind of too bad, because I was hoping G would return from boot camp all knocked up and claiming that Dan was the baby daddy. Wouldn't that have been awesome?

It's time for the wedding. Lily tells Rufus she loves him, then walks down the aisle and officially becomes Mrs. Bart Bass. At the reception afterwards, Serena is a bit pissed that Dan nearly slept with Georgina, and Chuck fills Nate in on his dad's shady deal. Nate doesn't want to believe him, but because he still loves Chuck deep down inside, he listens to him.

Nate's dad wasn't buying drugs earlier. He was buying a fake passport so he could flee the country and avoid his trial. He tells Nate that he has to step up and become the man of the family, and N gives him a swift punch in the face as a retort. Nate apologizes to Chuck, and they officially make up, shake hands, and rekindle their bromance. Vanessa arrives just in time to overhear some of the drama.

Serena tells Dan that she doesn't want to break up with him, but Dan doesn't feel the same way. S lied to him over and over again, and he's not sure that's something he can forgive. Serena tries to explain things, but Dan doesn't see how things can ever go back to normal. They're officially done for, at least until next season.

It's time for Chuck's toast at the reception. He uses his time in the spotlight to talk about the need for perseverance and forgiveness when it comes to romance, which is his way of apologizing to Blair. They share a dance and a kiss afterwards, where Chuck tells her that she obviously never belonged with Nate. He even tells her that they should do things right and not rush back into the sack. This is the moment where I throw my multicolored scarf into the air and dance a little jig.

I completely forgot about Jenny (Taylor Momsen). She's landed an internship at Parsons for the summer under Eleanor Waldorf. Oh God, she's going to come back more corrupted than ever! Meanwhile, Blair and Chuck are planning a trip to Europe, while Nate and Vanessa have called things off. Dan refers to Nate as "Man-Bangs," which is a great nickname for him. It looks like D and V are going to spend the summer in Brooklyn together.

S runs into N on the sidewalk, and they share a friendly moment together. Will they hook up again over the long summer months? Chuck says goodbye to his dad, who tells him that he'll soon learn about responsibility, sacrifice, and faithfulness now that he's with Blair. Chuck seems horrified by this possibility, as am I. The bad boy is simply too fabulous to settle down with one woman.

As the episode comes to a close, C seduces his interior designer, Amelia. His pickup line? "I'm Chuck Bass." While Blair is waiting at the airstrip, she strikes up a flirtation with one of the Bass employees. It looks like those two weren't meant for each other after all.

The first season of Gossip Girl wraps up with every character pursuing something, or someone, new. You know you love it. XOXO. See you in September!"

So, what do you think of the season finale? Aaaarrrgh, I'm still not over the ending. I'm pretty sure Josh Schwartz and the writers did it on purpose so that we all have something to look forward to next season. But do they really have to "kill" the Blair-Chuck moment? Can't they do it next season? I mean, the last Blair-Chuck moment that I was giddy over was Episode 10: Hi Society. Remember this scene?

After 8 episodes, Blair-Chuck shippers like yours truly got our wish of seeing the two getting it on. But I'm still not over the ending, hmmph!!!! :(

The red carpet was glitzy with waitresses all over serving drinks and hors d'oeuvres that were delish!

Magazine's Ali Pulti (our new coworker! Love it!), designer Matt Levine, Mary Park from Us Weekly, Fuerte Group's Allison Hales, MTV VJ Quddus, Tenjune owners Mark Birnbaum and Eugene Remm, the DJ of the night DJ Cassidy and his amazing sidekick Marvin Bastien, as well as O'Neil McKnight who asked us to be involved with their next project!

An intimate performance by Kanye West.

It was major!

He performed many of his hit songs including "Flashing Lights," "Through The Wire" and "Gold Digger" and even brought out topless dancers with moon helmets for shock appeal!

And the appeal worked -- we were shocked! In the best way possible!

On our way out of the event we picked up a VIP gift bag (briefcase style) that had a G-Shock Watch, CD, and t-shirt.

We then headed to the Nylon Magazine party celebrating Gossip Girl's Blake Lively on the cover at Amalia in the Dream Hotel. There we ran into way more favorites of ours including: Leven Rambin and boyfriend Drew, Michelle Davidson (from Shadow PR), America's Next Top Model's Jaslene Gonzales, Lizzie Grubman's Kelly Brady, Quddus again, publicist Tyler Burrow and many, many more!

We somehow missed running into new Gossip Girl stars Lydia Hearst and Michelle Trachtenberg, but they were in attendance - looking gorgeous as always!

A few weeks ago I attended the launch of the new Redken Real Control haircare line.  I was honored to discuss the Redken Real Control products with super stylist Kaz Amor!   His salon, Warren Tricomi LA, styles the hair of Lauren Conrad, Katherine McPhee, Brandy, Kerry Washington, Molly Sims, Dania Ramirez, and Lydia Hearst to name a few!  He is an incredible person to just sit and chat hair with!    

Kaz explained that the new Redken line, Real Control, is specifically designed for sensitized and distressed hair.  What does that mean?  If your hair is course, thick, dry, and chemically treated this is your line.  This line also works well for Latinos and multi cultural hair. Upon seeing the new line I was definitely skeptical.  Would it really put moisture back in the hair and keep the hair soft and manageable?

Just remember, faux letter will result faux pas, but of course, I do believe that this is real - even mad man won't take the risk of faking an autograph, and Angga is not even mad!

Now enough of weddings and hopefully happy endings, Georgina Sparks (Michelle Trachtenberg) is up to something again by hanging out with Dan:

Sometimes I just wish Serena would end up with Nate and Dan with Vanessa. (Of course, a Chuck and Blair tandem is a given, no ifs and no buts, haha). D and S are getting so annoying together, it would be refreshing to see them with different partners for a change:

A real life socialite, Lydia Hearst, will appear in a guest role for Gossip Girl's finale. She will play the role of Amelia, Lily and Bart's interior designer for their apartment. She will also reportedly have a "moment" with Chuck. But knowing Chuck, it would obviously be just a fling or even a one-night stand so Blair-Chuck fans like me need not worry, hehe. But Chuck better behave. Blair will surely not like it:

By the way, the main cast of Gossip Girl was cited by People magazine as one of the world's Most Beautiful for its current issue. Hooray!

We're hearing that model/socialite/heiress/handbag designer Lydia Hearst will be joining her BFF Michelle Trachtenberg on the all-star cast of Gossip Girl.

The powers that be have not announced what role Lydia will be playing, but there is speculation that she will be playing a "bad girl."

Can't wait!!!!

We will be joining the model/socialite/heiress/handbag designer this evening at The Bitter End, where her boyfriend, Joe Freimuth, will be performing with his band.

1. I LOVED the Breakfast at Tiffany's dream sequence. Alright, so it didn't really make sense. So what? Any excuse to have a little tribute to Audrey Hepburn is fine by me.
2. After Serena told Chuck not to call her "sister" and she never will share DNA with him, Chuck's reply was the best: "Then I suggest you get new hand towels." GROSS. But I love him.
3. I hate Jenny. Don't mess with the Queen Bitch, biatch.

As usual, the clothes were to die for. Blair didn't bring it this episode but I forgive her since she was having a tough time. I particularly liked Serena's leather jacket. That girl gets the best wardrobe in my opinion.

Only six more days until the next episode when Georgina Sparks, played by Michelle Tratchenberg, will be joining GG. YES! Another new addition is Lydia Hearst (I adore her) who will play a socialite in a minor role in the finale. In case you don't know, Lydia is an heiress to an enormous publishing fortune and a model. With the two new ladies, we can definitely expect more drama and catfights. Afterall, the world needs more bitches.

Film connoisseurs, celebrities, and fans of the arts, shelled out the big bucks for the 7-day Gen Art Film festival April 2-8th. With screenings at the Ziegfeld and after-parties spanning from Little West 12th to West 49th street, Gen Art had the west side of Manhattan covered.

Shown on the big screen were feature films: "Diminished Capacity," "Cook County," "Nightlife," "Surfwise," "Half-Life," "Frost," and "The Take." Matthew Broderick, John Leguizamo, and Jason Behr, all had starring roles and took some time to pose for the cameras at the screenings and after-parties.

While the theater catered to lovers of film, the after-parties catered to lovers of music and open bar. The Park, Kiss & Fly, Touch, Prime, Retreat, Bowery Hotel, and Spotlight Live were overflowing with Johnnie Walker Black, Citron Vodka, Kinton Wine, and Stella Artois and people were definitely drinking their weight in sponsored alcohol each and every night.

Everyone is talking about how this Presidential election will drive youth to the voting booths. But while Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama fight like two high school students angling for Most Popular, my interest is waning. Between the obnoxious endorsements from Hollywood and some new petty throwdown every day, this young lady is pretty bored with the whole thing. Not only are the Democrats losing their grip on my vote, their divisive antics just might be driving my crowd away entirely.
