Sus comentarios rozan el nacionalismo cutrón. Su problema no es que aporte poco en cuanto a la visión del juego, sino que este tipo estaba en el banquillo hace bien poco, con el mismo cerebro. También tienen a Alfredo Relaño, el director del As y colaborador, en general del grupo PRISA que, sin hacer aspavientos se ha colocado muy bien -su madre estará orgullosa- y comenta el partido, mientras todos tenemos en mente su bochornosa figura enfundado en la roja para las promos de Cuatro.

Debería hablar de Julio Maldonado, Maldini. El mejor de largo, el que más conoce el fútbol mundial de este país, un tipo que domina sus defectos, y los maquilla, y sus virtudes, y las luce, un tipo que no se deja llevar por la emoción, que tiene la retransmisión en la cabeza todo el rato, y que nunca habla de más. Tampoco lo hace nada mal Quique Flores, que guarda el libro del entrenador, y comparece como un aficionado fino, con mucho criterio y selectivo en su vocabulario.

Debría hablar de todo esto. Pero es que hoy mi amigo Sampe me ha mandado un mail. Se casa en Septiembre. Me hago viejo. Joder.

La 2 repone, antes del partido del domingo, el España - Italia de 1994 con los comentarios originales de José Ángel de la Casa, Michel y José Luis Garci.

TVE y La Sexta se suman a la cobertura del España - Italia de cuartos de final de la Eurocopa y ofrecerán dos especiales horas antes del decisivo partido.

TVE ha recuperado de su archivo el partido más comentado de los últimos días. Sucedió un 9 de julio de 1994 en Boston durante el Campeonato del Mundo de Estados Unidos. España se quedó a las puertas de las semifinales al perder con Italia por 2-1. Un encuentro que pasó a la historia por el codazo de Tassotti a Luis Enrique, la gran oportunidad de Julio Salinas y el postrero gol de Baggio. La 2 de TVE ofrecerá este partido íntegramente el domingo a partir de 17:00 horas.

Es una gran oportunidad para recordar un partido histórico que dejó a España a las puertas de las semifinales del Mundial de fútbol. En aquella selección de España jugaban entre otros, Zubizarreta, el futbolista que más veces ha vestido la camiseta de la selección; Bakero, Caminero, Miguel Angel Nadal, Luis Enrique, Julio Salinas y el actual director deportivo de la Federación Española de Fútbol, Fernando Hierro.

Italia, que acabaría disputando la final de aquel Mundial a Brasil, tenía en el equipo a su actual seleccionador, Roberto Donadoni, más Costacurta, Maldini, Tassotti, Baggio, Albertini... El entrenador de aquel equipo italiano era Arrigo Sacchi.

La 2 emitirá este partido, el domingo 22 de junio a las 17:00 horas, tal y como se difundió en su momento y con los comentarios originales, que realizaron José Ángel de la Casa, el futbolista José Miguel González "Michel" y el cineasta José Luis Garci.

Previamente a la emisión de este histórico partido, en La 2 habrá un programa especial de cara al partido de la Eurocopa que enfrentará a España e Italia en el que se recuperarán las mejores imágenes de otros enfrentamientos entre los dos equipos, incluidos algunos de los partidos de los que dio cuenta el NO-DO.

Además, habrá conexiones en directo con los distintos profesionales que TVE ha desplazado a Innsbruck, se recordarán todos los goles que la selección española ha marcado en esta Eurocopa 2008 y también se volverá a emitir el gol más comentado esta semana: el que metió David Villa a la selección italiana en el amistoso que España e Italia jugaron el pasado 26 de marzo, y que se saldó con la victoria de la selección española por un gol a cero.

Paolo Maldini, capitão do Milan, joga no clube desde 20 de janeiro de 1985, completa 40 anos agora no dia 26 de junho, e renovou seu contrato com o Milan! Sim sim sim, os dirigentes do clube negociaram com o jogador, e ele assinou novo contrato até 30 de junho de 2009 no rubro-negro!

The new Inter coach wooed the gathered press on his unveiling on Tuesday with an excellent command of Italian and a clear statement of intent.

You can see why Nerazzurri president Massimo Moratti saw the Portuguese as the perfect replacement for Roberto Mancini, possessing everything that Mancio did not.

Cool, suave [although a tie with Mancini on that one] and professional, there is no doubt that the days of moody old Inter are over.

After the childish behaviour witnessed as Inter stumbled to the title, Moratti knew it was time to bring in a man to do a man’s job.

Mourinho, at 45, may only be two years older than Mancini but in terms of charisma and class the younger man has plenty to learn.

Some said Serie A had lost its gloss but, with the man who doesn’t want to be known as “The Special One” anymore, leading the way there are bright days ahead for Italian football.

Amauri’s arrival from Palermo beefs up an attack where Alessandro Del Piero and David Trezeguet finished one and two in the league goalscoring charts last term.

However, it’s in other areas of the pitch that the Bianconeri should be concentrating on, such as defence for a start.

They may well have already brought in Olof Mellberg but there are major concerns over the fitness of Jonathan Zebina while although Nicolas Legrottaglie had a good year, it would be a surprise if he repeated that form again.

In fact, towards the end of the season the defence was starting to look very creaky especially along the left flank where in truth Christian Molinaro does not live up to the fine traditions of a full-back wearing the famous black and white shirt.

It’s the midfield that is the real problem. If you take out Mauro Camoranesi, looking around there isn’t a lot of flair on show.

The club got it completely wrong last summer with Tiago and never really corrected that with a schemer who can keep the ball moving crisply around the pitch.

Both Cristiano Zanetti – prone to injury -  and Mohamed Sissoko possess a physical presence but little invention while Pavel Nedved will be 36 in August.

With Inter about to flex their financial muscle, AS Roma and AC Milan competing to strengthen their squads the Juve management hierarchy need to set their sights high over the summer month to persuade the cream of world talent that the Old Lady is still alluring enough.

How will history view Mancio’s four-year reign at the Nerazzurri?

Well, respect where respect is due: back-to-back Serie A titles won on the pitch, apart from the one awarded after Juventus’ fall from grace, two Italian Cups and two Italian Super Cups are a fine haul indeed.

Not even the great Helenio Herrara pulled down so many scudetti.

However, missing is the holy grail for all clubs: the Champions League.

That was a big miss as well, especially if your closest rivals have lifted it twice in the last three years.

He certainly is not finished or indeed the finished article as we have seen with his lack of tactical nuance in the one-off games but he has promoted the budding talents of Marco Ballotelli and Pele.

And he has never been afraid to make changes when things were going badly although at times they came a little too late as the Italian Cup final highlighted.

On the whole, it would be a shame if the 43-year-old was away from the game for too long and okay he may not be the special one but he is still special.

The Romans were much more aggressive coming forward and better organised than the league champions.

However, the outcome also hinged on Roberto Mancini’s failure to field the right line-up from the start.

Seeing Dejan Stankovic in the starting XI was baffling enough considering the below-par season the Serb has had and then witnessing the name of Cesar beside him on the team-sheet was another reason to believe that the Cup would not be leaving the capital.

However, having seen the error of his ways, Mancio decided to put Stan out of his misery and introduce the much-more effective Pele in the centre of the pitch for the second half.

The arrival of Luis Jimenez for Cesar when the side trailed 2-0 was a no-brainer but there are still question-marks to why Hernan Crespo was left to kick his heels on the bench until a minute into injury time.

Just as with Liverpool in the Champions League, Mancini has shown that he still lacks the decisive edge in his selection for the big one-off games.

It has been a difficult decision because there have been some crackers and there are some of us who were lobbying for Adrian Mutu and Marco Borriello to be included but to no avail.

Anyway who says it has to be a big-name star scoring the best goal of the campaign, and in this case it isn’t.

A warm round of applause then for Mattia Cassani who blasted home the last-minute winner for Palermo against Juventus on Game Day 32.

The unheralded full-back hit the screamer from well outside the area to leave even the majestic Gianluigi Buffon stranded.

Coming in a close second is another workmanlike performer stepping into the limelight: Stefano Morrone.

The Parma midfielder also had his shooting boots when he hit an unstoppable volley at Torino on Game Day 24.

In third place is Antonio Di Natale who proves that we aren’t all obsessed with long-range eye-catchers.

The little Udinese frontman produced a moment of sublime skill to control a dropping ball inside the area and then nonchalantly bury his shoot in the far corner of the Reggina goal.

The Nerazzuri knew that the out of the season was still in their hands going into the final game but in reality they ought never have been in that position.

After all, they were 11 points out in front on February 23 and should have had it all sown up before April turned to May.

However, as they say ‘everyone remembers the winners not the losers’ so Roberto Mancini and his merry men will have no doubt forgotten their trials and tribulations as they get down to some serious celebrations.

As for AS Roma, they played some delightful football all season but will be kicking themselves for blowing leads against the minnows, with the last-gasp equaliser Livorno scored five games from the end of the campaign springing to mind.

Juventus have to be congratulated for making everyone remember how the club should behave and special congrats to Alex Del Piero for overcoming the doubters and finishing the season as the league’s top goalscorer -  let’s see if Roberto Donadoni is suitably impressed.

All three will be in the running for the title next year of course but will be see a new kid on the block?

AC Milan have a lot of work to do to hold off the ever-improving Fiorentina who will take the Rossoneri’s place in the Champions League, leaving the San Siro giants with a stab at the only cup they haven’t won: the UEFA Cup.

Sampdoria and Udinese will be looking to build on their positive campaigns and Samp in particular could be a real surprise side next season especially if they can hold on to Antonio Cassano.

Good to see that the islands will be represented again just when it looked as if Cagliari and Catania would be heading to south to Serie B.

Milán (Reuters).- Los veteranos futbolistas Paolo Maldini, Luis Figo y Cafú podrían seguir el ejemplo del mediocampista de la Juventus Pavel Nedved y dejar atrás la idea del retiro para jugar un año más.

Nedved, de 35 años, pensó en alejarse del fútbol, pero en vez de eso firmó el martes una extensión de contrato de un año para estar con la 'Juve' en el regreso del equipo a la Liga de Campeones.

También se espera una decisión sobre si dejará de lado su retiro del fútbol internacional para integrar la selección checa en la Eurocopa de junio, debido a que la lesión de Tomas Rosicky es una gran baja para el mediocampo del equipo.

Maldini, quien lleva 23 años liderando la defensa del AC Milan, también estuvo cerca de retirarse al final de la temporada pero se está planteando la situación después que una serie de lesiones limitó sus apariciones en el equipo.

Todo parece indicar que Maldini, de 39 años, seguirá jugando pese a que el AC Milan puede perderse la próxima edición de la Liga de Campeones.

"Aún no hablé con el AC Milan y no hay contrato, por lo que no hay nada oficial. Durante la semana veré a (el jefe ejecutivo Adriano) Galliani y lo definiré", dijo Maldini a periodistas esta semana.

No está tan claro si el AC Milan le ofrecerá a Cafú, de 37 años, un contrato por otra temporada.

AC Milan quiere contratar al defensor del Barcelona Gianluca Zambrotta, cuyo arribo podría acelerar la partida del sudamericano.

Pero Cafú quiere seguir jugando.

"No sé lo que haré pero no creo que deje de jugar porque aún estoy muy motivado cuando salgo a jugar", dijo Cafu el mes pasado.

En tanto Figo, del Inter de Milán, había dicho que se retiraría a finales de la temporada, pero una lesión lo dejó fuera de los campos en el último mes.

"Quiero jugar porque no quiero terminar mi carrera lesionado", dijo Figo esta semana.

El portugués, de 35 años, no ha podido convencer al entrenador Roberto Mancini de que puede jugar por otro año, pero el dueño del club, Massimo Moratti quiere que se quede.

Se espera que la situación se resuelva en breve.

Atual Sevilla, e com contrato até 2011, Daniel Alves já disse que tem vontade de sair do time, e o Barcelona não perde tempo e já se adianta fazendo a oferta. Caso Daniel rescinda o contrato com o time, ele teria que pagar uma multa de R$ 154 milhões de reais, assim, mais jogadores do Barcelona entrariam no acordo. Ele ficaria com a vaga de Zambrotta, que tem propostas do Milan, e deve ir. Bah, quem falou que tem o sonho de jogar no Milan, é o Drogba! Isso mesmo, li hoje no Terra, se não me engano que ele disse que comentou com Paolo Maldini sua vontade de jogar pelo Milan.

They have to win to remain in Serie A – and they have to win against Inter who as we all know are going for the title.

Well, if the Gialloblu pull off a miracle and survive the drop then do they actually need a coach at all?

If Marco Materazzi’s behaviour is anything to go by then it would seem that players turn a deaf ear to what the boss has to say anyway.

When the Inter defender grabbed the ball away from designated penalty-taker Julio Cruz in an attempt to hog the glory in Sunday’s potential title-decider, he was going against the coach’s express wises.

There was very little Roberto Mancini could have done to change the course of that moment; hemmed in as he was in his technical area trying to make himself heard over a braying 85,000 plus crowd.

After a while the players must know what the coach is going to say and who he is going to pick on at half-time so at this late stage let the Parma boys get on with it and sort it out.

We know that youth team coach Andrea Manzo has been "put in charge" for the next six days at least but you feel that if anything it will need the combined strength of the group to emerge victorious.

Of course, they have been there before and the ghost of 2002 is rattling away in the cupboard as Roberto Mancini stares into the abyss of falling down at Parma on Sunday.

By a strange coincidence it is the man who was in charge of Inter on that day in May six years ago, Hector Cuper, who stands in their way this time around.

May 5, 2002 and a win at Lazio would have ensured the Nerazzurri a first title since 1989 but the jitters had already taken over after defeat to Atalanta and a draw with Chievo left them just a point clear of Juventus, having allowed a five-point lead with five games to go disappear.

In the heat of Rome’s Olympic stadium, Cuper’s team which included Marco Materazzi, Ronaldo and Christian Vieri, wilted in a 4-2 defeat and Juve were crowned unlikely champs.

Juventus have also suffered the indignity of blowing what seemed an unassailable advantage when they led Lazio in the 1999-2000 season by nine points in April only for the likes of Zinedine Zidane, Alessandro del Piero and Filippo Inzaghi to see it all slip away, including a home defeat to the Romans.

On the last day of the season the Old Lady needed a point at Perugia but the gods and the rain gods in particular produced a deluge which held play up and in which time Lazio recorded a 3-0 win in their game.

However, when the match resumed some eighty minutes later it all ended in tears as the Turin giants fell to a 1-0 defeat.

Perugia was also the venue to crown AC Milan’s amazing comeback in the 1998-99 season and by another quirk it was Lazio who were at the centre of the drama as well.

This time the the club from the capital had seemingly galloped over the hill with nine points between them and the Rossoneri but the San Siro giants then won seven in a row as the Biancocelesti couldn’t buy a point going into the home stretch.

The Milanese went top on the penultimate day after a 4-0 defeat of Empoli while Lazio just about kissed the title good-bye in a 1-1 draw at Fiorentina.

Milan then closed out the championship in a 2-1 win at Perugia - and that was that.

In the 2000-01 season, Juventus were at it again but this time they clawed back AS Roma’s nine-point advantage but in the end the Giallorossi woke up to snatch the title on the last day.

Maybe there is an omen in there for Inter somewhere but they will need nerves of steel next weekend to make sure they don’t go into the realms of history as one of the great all-time chokers.

Hold on to your seats folks, it’s set for a rollercoaster last day.

If Inter pick up three points at home to Siena then the title is theirs never mind what AS Roma do against Atalanta.

There is nothing like it when the championship comes down to the wire. The drama, the excitement, the suspense.

Inter missed their chance last weekend to AC Milan of all teams, surely they won’t blow it again.

Well, as a great man once said: “It’s a funny old game.”

So you won’t want to be too far from SerieA.tv on Sunday as will have every pulsating moment.

There is a chance the title race may still go down to the final game next week but even it doesn’t there should be plenty to keep us on the edge of our seats with the battle for the final the Champions League spot and of course survival.

All and all it’s set to be an enthralling climax.

UEFA Cup qualification must feel nothing short of failure to the side from Florence, who have let the experienced AC Milan slip in to fourth place almost at the final kick of the season after being ahead of the Rossoneri for the best part of the championship.

The Viola may have finished the last two Serie A campaigns in a hypothetical fourth place (Champions League football denied by involvement in the football scandal). However, without the buts and maybes this time round, Cesare Prandelli's players have simply wilted under the pressure.

A last second defensive lapse against Sampdoria gifted two points to Carlo Ancelotti's aging battlers on Game Day 35 while the worst half-hour of the entire season in the opening half last week allowed Cagliari to claim victory.

The sending-off of self-proclaimed leader Adrian Mutu for dissent in the final minute against the Sardinians is clear indication of a lack of a true on-field captain and one of the main reasons why the rennaisance is on hold.

Experience is painfully earned and perhaps at the end of the current campaign, the bitterness of not having reached the UEFA Cup final after dominating both legs of the semi-final against Glasgow Rangers added to implosion in the league may add that sporting tough edge which has been missing in the crunch moments.

To be gallant in defeat may be worthy of praise from UEFA President Michel Platini but gracious in victory is a much greater challenge.

Da giorni in rete e’ scoppiato il caso delle dichiarazioni dei redditi degli italiani (del 2005) rese pubbliche dall’ agenzia dell’ entrate, poi subito eliminate per ordine del Garante della Privacy ma ancora scaricabili su Emule (cercando p-2005).

Sinceramente la vicenda non mi ha appassionato, e non l’ho seguita quasi per nulla. Preferisco percio’ non esprimere un giudizio e non schierarmi nettamente pro o contro la pubblicazione.
E' chiaro che tentenzialmente sarei a favore della messa online dei redditi. Significherebbe una maggiore trasparenza, nel Paese occidentale con la piu’ alta evasione fiscale. Pagare le tasse e’ un dovere del cittadino. Chi non le paga danneggia la comunita’. E se il cittadino X dovesse informare la Guardia di Finanza che il cittadino Y dichiara 24mila euro l’anno ma ha comprato una macchina che ne costa 70mila, non penso che sarebbe la fine del mondo. La Guardia di Finanza potrebbe fare un controllo sul cittadino Y, e se il quest’ultimo fosse un cittadino onesto non avrebbe nulla da temere.

Insomma: se uno ha la coscienza pulita non ha niente da temere. Non penso ci sia nessuna valida motivazione per voler tenere segreto il proprio reddito, percio' pubblicando tutti i redditi a rimetterci sarebbero potenzialmente solo gli evasori.

E’ vero anche pero’ – come afferma Mario Deaglio su La Stampa – che

dalle nobili idealità della trasparenza a un clima generalizzato di sfiducia e addirittura di odio reciproco il passo può essere molto breve.

Questa iniziativa va infatti a violare il diritto alla risevatezza del cittadino/contribuente, il suo diritto alla privacy, e potrebbe aprire il vaso di Pandora dell’invidia. Capisco percio’ anche le critiche.

Inoltre, prosegue Deaglio,

i redditi che figurano nella dichiarazione annuale possono non essere affatto - e senza chiamare in causa l’evasione fiscale - una rappresentazione fedele di quanto effettivamente un individuo percepisce in un anno. Chi dispone di redditi e patrimoni veramente alti può, in maniera del tutto legale, costruirsi uno schermo di società per azioni o altre strutture giuridiche che gli evitano l’esposizione mediatica; gran parte dei redditi di capitale (per esempio gli interessi sui Bot o altri titoli a reddito fisso) non figura in tale dichiarazione; per i liberi professionisti e i commercianti ci possono essere anni buoni e anni cattivi e il reddito di un solo anno non è affatto indicativo. La cifra che viene associata al nome di un contribuente costituisce un primo indizio molto scivoloso, non già un’occasione per fare giustizia sommaria.

Deaglio descrive adeguatamente i pericoli del pubblicizzare i redditi dei cittadini, ma sottolinea anche, giustamente, come tale diritto alla privacy dovrebbe essere fortemente attenuato per tutti i cittadini che esercitano una professione “pubblica” :

Per evitare che vengano minate alcune regole basilari della convivenza civile, il principio che sembra più ragionevole (adottato, del resto, in numerosi paesi ad elevato livello di democrazia) è che l’interesse pubblico al reddito dei singoli contribuenti deve essere limitato ai personaggi pubblici o a coloro che intendono diventarlo. E’ ragionevole che sia reso noto a tutti il reddito di un ministro, di un parlamentare, di un sindaco o di quanti aspirano a tali cariche. E’ ragionevole che le autorità facciano indagini mirate per sradicare l’evasione e stanare i furbi. Molto irragionevole andare al di là di questo limite e consentire che ciascun cittadino si faccia «giustizia fiscale» da solo.

Come minimo, aggiungo io, sarebbe giusto pubblicare (sui giornali e on-line) il nome degli evasori.

Dunque, se e' difficile dare un giudizio netto sulla vicenda, dal grande interesse che la vicenda ha destato si puo’ dire per certo almeno una cosa: gli italiani amano farsi gli affari degli altri.

Concordo in questo con le opinioni espresse sull’argomento da Blogue Poll, che definisce gli italiani un popolo di navigatori guardoni, e anche un po’ invidiosi, e condanna l’insensato attacco mediatico contro il blogger Beppe Grillo:

Una parte di questi pseudo difensori della trasparenza, con il supporto dei mezzi d’informazione non liberi, si è dilettata nell’attaccare un (ex)comico sui suoi redditi. Ma, come ha giustamente notato Gramellini su La Stampa: “Grillo predica l’onestà, mica la povertà e sui quei 4 milioni paga regolari tasse, ma il populismo di queste sottigliezze se ne infischia. Questo magari è un concetto maggiormente comprensibile per un Presidente del Consiglio, in quanto soggetto chiamato a gestire la res pubblica e soggetto d’interesse pubblico.

Ed è proprio il concetto d’interesse pubblico il quid che non viene compreso. Possibile che la maggioranza degli italiani e il suo popolo di navigatori della rete, abbia così scarsa conoscenza di nozioni giuridiche e che confonda la pubblicità e disponibilità delle denunce dei redditi con la loro accessibilità immotivata?

Thank goodness then for AC Milan’s big brash performance in the derby.

While Roberto Mancini and his stony-faced assortment of South Americans got all jittery about anyone during up for the bash, Ricky Kaka, Filippo Inzaghi et al. were already raiding the fridge for the goodies.

And good to see it too although we have to ask where the Rossoneri had been for the previous nine months: putting all their efforts into winning a one-off game to become world champs and trying to get back into the Champions League final would be the obvious reply.

Anyway, let’s see if Inter can hold it together this Sunday. After all, they are still three points ahead at the top and only have to beat Siena at home which leads to the matter of how the league is decided if two teams finish level on points.

Inter hold the advantage over the Giallorossi, having thumped them, thanks in part to little Ludovic Giuly’s errant hand, down in the capital and then grabbing a draw at home.

Now, rather than have the outcome of the league potentially decided by a game back in September won’t be much more exciting to introduce goal difference.

Over the arch of nine months that would give a clearer indication of a team’s overall strength than a bad day at the office at the beginning of the campaign.

If we take a peek into a parallel universe where goal difference is the name of the game, Inter and AS Roma would be going into the final two matches with the former on plus 41 and the latter on plus 34.

It may be seven goals to make up but at least it would give Luciano Spalletti’s men a glimmer of hope rather than just relying on Inter spoiling their own party.

Well, it’s all set up for one dramatic and high-octane Sunday at the San Siro.

Sometimes these big-game occasions don’t match the hype but you have a feeling that this time it may well surpass it.

After all, AC Milan can finally have a say in the outcome of the title race and at the same time maintain their hopes of qualifying for the Champions League again.

Walter Mazzarri’s underdogs travel to Florence on Game Day 35 intent on taking advantage of Fiorentina’s midweek UEFA Cup exertions at Glasgow Rangers three days earlier to close the four-point gap on the fourth-placed side.

Following defeat to AS Roma in the final game before the Christmas break, the side from Genoa were trailing back in 10^thplace but an inspired second part of the season has seen the Blucerchiati maintain the pace set by AC Milan behind the Viola by bringing out the best of players such as Christian Maggio, Paolo Sammarco and Claudio Bellucci.

Victory over the Fiorentina will certainly not assure the side from Genoa European football next season because Antonio Cassano and team-mates must still host AS Roma and Juventus and travel to Palermo in the final three matches of the season.

However, if the Bari-born wayward star can produce the magic to lead Samp to maximum points in the final four games then surely no one will begrudge the unfashionable side a place in Europe’s premier competition.
