New Rule#2: If you forget to take a photo for the day, you can make up for it by demonstrating a coo

New Rule#2: If you forget to take a photo for the day, you can make up for it by demonstrating a cool new WordPress Gallery feature if you have a minimum of five photos taken within a week of the missed day.

Did you get all that? Good. 'Cause I didn't.

In any case. Here are some photos I took April 1st, the day I first discovered signs of spring outside. They are to replace April 6th, which apparently wasn't an interesting enough day for me to photograph anything.

By the way, this new Wordpress feature allows you to click on each photo to view it in a larger size. It also allows comments on individual photos (but don't let that stop you from commenting here too). Give it a whirl!

[gallery]

If you'd like to play around with the gallery on your own WordPress blog, Matt* gives an excellent screencast here. Oh, and when you hear Matt's explanation for the way he sounds in this screencast, you'll understand why I immediately empathized with him.

Hey Matt, want some chocolate pudding?

* Matt is Matthew Mullenweg, founding developer of WordPress and #1 most important Matt in the world (according to Google). His blog is at http://ma.tt. I know it's a Trinidad and Tobago extension, but come on. How clever is that? Now my husband will want one. Except, it wouldn't really work. Unless we changed his name to Tomtt.

My No. 2 unfoe at WordPress, Matthew Mullenweg (self-imposed Authoritarian Matt) has been blogging

My No. 2 unfoe at WordPress, Matthew Mullenweg (self-imposed Authoritarian Matt) has been blogging (not ranting) at his finely carved, design rich blog PhotoMatt, since ages.

But one of the best kept secrets by the WordPress Team is that, sometime in early 2008 he (Matthew) was kidnapped by Aliens, who infused in him the importance of being Matt and not PhotoMatt. Deep Sources at WP reveal that a certain kind of super ultrasonic, poetry-coded machine was used for this top secret operation.

Officers at the Central Commandos of Internet Alien Agency (CCIAA) rescued him on January 23 at 2:34pm, while the spaceship was flying over Trinidad and Tobago; he (Matthew) had already taken the first step of being Ma.tt, and not PhotoMatt.

Decoding his new domain name, Ma.tt:

The word 'Ma' in Hindi, an Indo-Aryan language, means 'Mother'. (It's interesting that the word Hindī is of Persian origin and Matthew's blog design - the background - is based on Persian Architecture).

Experts believe that Matthew had sent an encoded beam of sound-waves (thanks to his upgraded, yet to be released, iPhone) to his Mummy, as the extraterrestrial flying saucer was over tt (Trinidad and Tobago). But the National Mumma Specific Domain Registrars (NMSDR) misunderstood the waves and decoded them into signals, and hence the world saw the birth of 'Ma-tt' infused Ma.tt.

The CCIAA commandos sent me a few sketches that is believed to have been the source of reference for Aliens, before the operation was executed.

Disclosure: Matthew would have declined to comment, provided I sent him an unofficial, informal postal mail at his Royal Texas Mansion, whose nameplate simply reads, "Google, Matt" (this one doesn't bounce back).

Note: Sources close to the matter reveal that Matthew is secretly receiving free tuition's in basic Hindi from a close associate at WordPress Headquarters, who also happens to be a graduate from the prestigious St. Stephen's College, New Delhi, India.

The tutor, who wished not to be named, revealed that Matthew has allegedly skipped 4-5 sessions in the past; the reason why he misspells "Namaste" as "No Masti".

Update: Enjoy April Fools!

Matthew Mullenweg, il creatore di WordPress.com ha reso noto sul suo blog, una serie di interessanti dati statistici relativi a circa 115 milioni di visite (ovviamente su wordpress.com)

Ecco quindi i dati :

WEB BROWSER USATO

62.46% - Internet Explorer

30.74% - Firefox

3.83% - Safari

1.78% - Opera

0.52% - Mozilla

Nonostante Internet Explorer domini ancora, firefox continua a guadagnare terreno in modo costante, a safari, opera e mozilla rimangono ovviamente le briciole....
SISTEMA OPERATIVO USATO

90.36% - Windows

6.73% - Macintosh

2.19% - Linux

0.03% - PlayStation Portable

P.S.

Io uso Firefox come browser e in questo momento Win-Xp come sistema operativo!

Voi ?
