She's our blondest.. I don't even know where that came from.. blonde and blue eyes.. well  the blue eyes are actually running in both families.. but neither of us have it.. And she's also blonder than both of us.. and blonder than the other two.. We're sometimes joking about that we were out of ink in the printer - when we printed her..

She's just the cutest baby ever.. a wonderful personality.. the cutest little girl you can ever think about.. When she wakes up in the morning we hear her sweet little voice.. no crying - no screaming.. just talking with her stuffed animals.. giggeling, "singing". She doesn't mind even if nobody comes to pick her up.. she can stay in bed in her room for half an hour.. still happy - hardly never complaining.

Once up she's like a wind.. She's never where you last left her.. within a second she's in another room.. probably in the older kids' room - where she is not allowed to be.. And she announces "ajajajaj"  - yes she knows very well she's not supposed to be there. She's looking at you.. smiling.. very aware that you're gonna take her away from there.. With big begging eyes she's trying to convince you to just smile and let her stay.. and you can't be mad at her - because she's just a little baby..

She is independent.. she loves to play with her siblings. But when they are at kindergarten she has no problem to play intependently... very easy going.. but with a strong will. She knows what she wants.. and she doesn't give up, when she decided on something.

She is almost walking.. sometimes even taking a few steps. She could walk - I'm sure. But she doesn't want to try. Instead she's walking with a very weak and unstable plastic shopping cart - in one hand - and her poodle in the other hand.. smile reaching from one ear to another.. I'm sure she soon will be walking without the shopping cart. She just needs to find out she can do it. I guess we should be happy she isn't walking yet.. Once she starts walking we'll have to run after her. :) 

When I put her new clothes.. or a nice dress - she is looking at what she is wearing.. and then she gives up a happy .. I don't even know what to call it.. "noise"? She is so aware... and thankful.

In the evening when she is going to sleep she can be (again) talking with her stuffed animals for hours.. no crying.. no screaming. just giving up some shouts of joy.. again talking with her dog, or lauging at who knows what. But sure she would be cranky and crying if we would take her up. Isn't that weird.. ? A baby that actually voluntarily spends a couple of hours/day alone in her bed?? Well when I think about it there has been times when the other two have done that too.. I think it's a sign that they feel safe.. They don't have to climb on us all the time to feel good.

We have a good baby recipe.. they are just adorable.. sweet.. amazing...

I have an old Star Micronics StarJet SJ-48 that is really a rebadged Canon BJ-10 monochrome inkjet printer. Despite being fifteen years old, it works perfectly and even has a rechargeable battery inside. It's slim and travels well and worked fine with all my laptops up until Vista, because no one made Vista drivers for it. Well, I found that the XP driver will work, but first you have to trick Vista into letting you install it.

Saturday.  That morning, I washed the cat's fiber filled bed and it blew up in the washing machine.  That was fun.  My mesh strainer now has a new function.  That afternoon, I took a trip to the local craft supply store and bought a bunch of various styles of ribbon.  I like to make something I call woven textile art.  I found a place to hang my copy of Klimt's The Kiss and the textile art will hang near it.  I'm working on another painting, but it's a slow process. I don't consider myself a professional artist.  I am an amateur at best, but I am artistic.  Is there a difference?  I was once a ceramic artist, but I use other mediums now.  The switch in mediums is a long story. I enjoy the arts and art history.  We are presently studying the Renaissance period and I'm searching for a copy of the movie The Agony and the Ecstasy.  In the meantime, I'm going to read the book by Irving Stone, but I really don't like to read.  

That evening, I was tempted to turn on the printer, but I reorganized my classroom instead.  I think we own way too much stuff.  I detest clutter.  If I could be a minimalist, I would.  My interior would look like a Scandinavian home with carefully selected items from IKEA.   Why do we want to be everything we are not?  I boxed up a lot of stuff that evening.  I also made a batch of cookies (with some help).

Sunday.  It was the Sabbath and so I honored it.  I have been a Christian for about 13 years, and I think it's cool to be a Christian.  I know a lot of cool people who are Christians.  You do change when you become one...I'll admit to that.  I use to ask, "Do I have to go to church? Do I have to give up this or that?  Do I have to stop doing this or that?"  The answer is, no. You do not have to go to church or give up anything, BUT... here's the secret.  When you devote your life to Christ, you change and you don't want to do or be a part of certain things anymore.  Those things stop appealing to you.  You have a new approach to life, and the transformation is remarkable.  I have never regretted becoming a Christian, but I regret who I was before. 

On the other hand, temptation won and I turned on my printer Sunday evening. It did the same thing as before so now I must hand write what I will teach until it is fixed.  Speaking of temptation, here's a song called Temptation by New Order.

Langkah mengatasi Printer Epson C45 yang berkedip-kedip adalah :

1. Download software Epson resetter software di http://www.ssclg.com/epsone.shtml
2. Install software tersebut
3. Jalankan software yang telah di install
4. Klick tab Configuration, pada bagian Printer model pilih Epson Stlylus C4x. (Untuk type printer yang lain, anda bisa memilihnya sendiri sesuai dengan printer yang anda miliki)
5. Klick tab Resetter, pada bagian Available data for selected model pilih T038black. (Untuk printer yang lain, pilih sesuai dengan type yang anda miliki).
6. Klick Write dan abaikan pesan yang muncul.
7. Lakukan pada Cartridge warna sesuai dengan petunjuk nomor 5 dan 6
8. Tutup window itu, dan pada bagian kanan bawah layar monitor anda akan muncul icon kecil yang bergambar printer.
9. Klick kanan icon itu, dan pilih Reset Counters, kemudian Reset black.
   
10. Ulangi langkah nomor 9 untuk warna yang lain (cyan, magenta dan yellow).
11. Matikan printer, hidupkan kembali, lihat tombolnya apakah masih berkedip atau tidak.
12. Segera test printer anda.

tapi ternyata hal tersebut tidak berhasil untuk printer gw, setelah itu gw cek lagi kenapa hal tersebut tidak berhasil, ini disebabkan oleh jumlah counter yang sudah memenuhi target yaitu sekitar 8300-an nah untuk menormalkan atau me-nol kan counter ini, ini yang harus di lakukan.

1. nyalakan printer kembali
2. klik kanan pada icon printer ssc service utility
3. pilih protection counter
4. pilih show current value untuk melihat jumlah counter yang telah digunakan
5. pilih reset protection counter
6. matikan printer
7. nyalakan kembali
8. selesai

pada intinya jika hal2 tersebut tidak berhasil janganlah berputus asa. coba gunakan tools yang ada pada ssc service utility mungkin ada yang berhubungan dgn kerusakan printer anda, selamat mencoba.

Before students can begin an educational journey on the internet, computer stations are needed. Since not every school can afford the latest technology, building a computer lab may be difficult.

Luckily, there are organizations that teachers can contact to receive refurbished and recycled computers for classroom use. Computers for the Classroom and Computers for Schools are two of these non-profit organizations that aim to provide a low-cost alternative for achieving technology in the classroom.

What do these organizations do?

Basically, these two organizations accept donated computers from corporations and homes across the country. They then refurbish them, clean them up, and then sell them at a low price to schools

What comes with the computer?

Computers for Schools installs a Windows based operating system on each computer, as well as a few basic applications, like a word-processor and spreadsheets.

Each computer comes with a mouse, keyboard, and a monitor. Sometimes there are offers that allow you to purchase a printer as part of the package deal.

Each printer uses a specific color or black cartridge which is an essential printer accessory. พอหมดธุระกับเรื่องหมึกพิมพ์ เราก็เดินเล่นในพันธุ์ทิพย์ไปเรื่อยเปื่อย พบว่า เจอเคสจิ๋วน่าใช้มาก แต่ไม่ได้ถามราคาหรอก ช่วงนี้ไม่กล้าคิดจะเสียตังค์ เพราะว่าจุ๊งสุด ๆ แต่พอออกจาก พันธุ์ทิพย์ ก็ไปเจอ หุ่นยนต์ไขลานให้เต้น ก็ถูกใจเลย ซื้อมา 3 ตัว 3 สี เขียว เหลือง แดง กะว่าจะเอามาถ่ายมิวสิค ประกอบเพลงของ Buddha Bless วะฮ่าฮ่า พอเห็นหุ่นปั๊บก็นึกคอนเซ็ปต์ออกเลย เสียดายไม่ได้เอากล้องติดมาด้วย ไม่งั้นจะเริ่มถ่ายทำวันนี้เลย

En el Mac se detectaba perfecto, sin ningun problema, pero aunque le diera a compartir la impresora, los otros pc's (con Windows XP) no imprimían. He estado bastante tiempo mirando manuales, siguiendo mil y un pasos y nada, hasta hoy que me tope un manual en inglés el cual lo deseché al principio porque no me parecía factible la idea, pero ha resultado ser la mejor solución.

Os explico los pasos:

1. Abrir en el navegador la página http://127.0.0.1:631 que es la interface del CUPS. Como veréis es para manejar las impresoras.
2. Pulsais sobre "Printers" y luego dais a "Add a new printer". Os pedirá el user y pass de vuestra cuenta de Mac.
3. En la nueva ventana, únicamente rellenamos el nombre, pero ponemos un nombre sencillo sin espacios. En mi caso puse HPLaser. Pulsamos Continue.
4. Ahora seleccionamos la opcion USB Printer y pulsamos Continue otra vez.
5. Ahora debemos especificar la dirección de la impresora por usb, para ello abrimos un terminal y tecleamos lpinfo -v, en mi caso sale esto: direct usb://Hewlett-Packard/hp%20LaserJet%202300L?serial=CNCFK13229 del cual extraemos unicamente todo menos la palabra direct. Pulsamos nuevamente Continue.
6. Ahora de las opciones escogemos Raw. Pulsamos Continue otra vez y ya tendremos la impresora configurada.
7. Vamos ahora a la máquina con Windows XP, y vamos a Impresoras y Faxes, y pulsamos en Agregar nueva impresora.
8. Decimos que queremos agregar una impresora por red, y damos a Siguiente, y en la próxima ventana, escribimos en el campo de abajo, la dirección ip de tu impresora desde Mac, es decir, tuiplocalmac:631/printers/nombreimpresora. En mi caso es el siguiente: http://192.168.0.1:631/printers/HPLaser
9. Ahora nos pedirá los drivers, tendremos que instalar los drivers que le pondrías a Windows, no los PostScript. Pulsamos Siguiente y ya esta todo configurado ;).

Me va perfecto al verdad, ya he hecho muchas pruebas y no me quejo para nada, todo es probar, quizás a otros la solución de usar el Bonjour de Windows les vale, pero para mí no es el caso. Por cierto, yo uso Tiger 10.4.11, no sé si a gente con Leopard tendrá también estos problemas, pero si los tiene y el manual le vale le algo avisarme ¿ok?

Unwanted printer left by a friend. There's no software and power cable though. Power cable can be any PC cable. Anyone is welcome to take this FOC.

In a small agency, in a small town, three designers sat in their cubicles. Raising and lowering their chairs, completing lap after lap in office chair rotational Olympics, they pondered the designs of the day. Each designers would embark on an adventure in advertising today.
We begin with designer number one, the smallest designer. Really, she is only 4’11” and weighs about 110lbs. As she sat staring blankly at the screen, she wondered how to attack the ad of the day. She looked to the left, she looked to the right, focused her vision straight ahead and launched Microsoft Publisher. She quickly began to mouse and click, diligently trying to create a winning ad. After about an hour of work she felt like the layout was ready for Q&A. The piece went through all the appropriate channels getting a few suggestions and requests for improvement along the way. After completing the changes the file was ready for the printer.  It was simple assignment, some text offset by a single image, simple and clean. As she clicked the send button at the FTP server, she slide back in her chair and relaxed. Mission accomplished, job done ready for the next project. The front door opened with a bang, and out of a cloud of dust emerged the printer. Mr. Printer swooped into the office like a hurricane and began his path of destruction. The noise of the wind subsided and the printer screeched out, “Publisher?”
As he approached her cubicle he huffed and he puffed and the designer was overtaken with fear. The printer let out a howl and gust of wind that carried his words of disgust decimated the cubicle of our tiny designer. Sitting in the rubble that surrounded her, our tiny designer wept in disbelief. The printer ranted, “Publisher, who uses Publisher? What kind of bu** sh**, ridiculous designer set up a Publisher file?” Tiny shuttered beneath what remained of her desk and remained silent with fear. The printer exited with the furor of which he entered and a calm reclaimed the office. Tiny was never the same again. She moved quickly over to the cubicle next to her and cried.
In the neighboring cubicle, designer number two  felt all the muscles in his body tense. Before this occurrence he had been confidently working on an ad for another client. Smarter than Tiny, he used Adobe InDesign to create his ad. He leaned back in his chair, popped his knuckles and readdressed his screen. Importing photos, selectively choosing typefaces and carefully placing the components, designer number two continued on his design. He had created a beautiful campaign rich with saturated images and flowing text that could reach from the page straight to the consumers heart. Each piece received glowing reviews and was uploaded to the printers FTP. He received numerous ‘pats-on-the-back’ and reclined feeling very good about what he had done. Just as he exhaled his breath of relaxation, the printer once again exploded into the shop. He moved quickly towards the second cubicle with his chest puffed full of air. “Where are the images? Where are the fonts? Never again shall you send me incomplete files!” As he finished his statement he let out a gale of air that destroyed the second cubicle. Tiny sat beside designer number two in disbelief, surrounded by the rubble that had been his cubicle. As the printer turned to go, both designers fled to the third cubicle desperate to be safe.
As the two decimated designers entered the third cubicle they knew that, at last, they would be safe. The third designer possessed a skill that the first to only aspired to own. A mastery of layout, proportion, unity and type. Her grids rivaled the grids of historically great designers. Any project that came from this cubicle was sure to slay the printer. They sat in the corner of this cubicle watching humbly as June completed her ad. With one click she gathered all the necessary files into a single folder. One more click and the folder flew across the internet and landed at the printers desk. June feared nothing, for she had done everything. It was just then that, once again, the printer burst through the agency doors. As he steamed towards June’s cubicle, she sat confident. The printer swooped in and stopped, then said, “My darling, my dear you got it all right, I will actually get to go home and sleep tonight.” As he grabbed Junes arm to pull her in, she turned to the others with a small grin. Do it right and take your time, for a job done once is a job done well.

Kalian tahu USB kan ?, itu salah satu model konektor (I/O) perangkat komputer maupun elektronik lainnya yang palin gpopuler sekarang ini. Implementasinya telah merubah banyak dalam perkembangan dunia TI. Beberapa hal yang bisa dicatat disini, peran USB dalam merubah dunia TI antara lain :

1. Hilangnya penggunaan disket floppy,
2. Penggunaan USB di hampir semua peralatan komputer, mulai dari keyboard, mouse, fashdisk, External, Harddisk, modem, printer, dll. ,
3. Penggunaan USB di luar dunia komputer, seperti TV, DVD player, MP3/radio/music player, satellite dish & receiver, bahkan penggunaan USB untuk peralatan professional seperti peralatan seismograf, peralatan kedokteran ,peralatan militer dam peralatan professional lainnya,
4. Berkurangnya penggunaan media seperti Mini DV dan DVD sejak transfer data dari peralatan tersebut telah menggunakan USB.

Namun ironisnya, USB pun yang pada akhir abad 20 didisain untuk efisiensi namun lebih cepat dari segi transfer data, ternyata tidak berhasil memenuhi harapan penciptanya.

USB atau Universal Serial Bus didisain untuk efisiensi penggunaan konektor antar peralatan komputer. Sepuluh tahun yang lalu, peralatan komputer memiliki berbagai macam standar koneksi. Koneksi antara PC dengan keyboard, mouse, disk, printer, berbeda beda. Termasuk juga peralatan lainnya.

Dengan adanya USB, semua menjadi efisien, karena konektifitas antar peralatan kini menjadi satu standar. Namun salah satu konsep efisiensi USB yang tidak tercapai adalah disain untuk koneksi secara serial. Setiap PC maupun perangkat – perangkatnya diharapkan hanya memiliki satu koneksi USB input dan output. Sehinga misalnya, sebuah PC hanya bisa dicolok oleh salah satu perangkat, misalnya Keyboard, lalu mouse dicolok ke Keyboard, Printer dicolok ke mouse. Demikianlah yang diharapkan oleh penciptanya sehingga setiap perangkat lebih efisien dalam menempatkan I/O port ditubuhnya.

Dengan kegagalan ini, apabila dalam 5 tahun kedepan tidak terjadi perubahan, maka barangkali nama USB kita usulkan saja untuk dirubah menjadi UPB atau Universal Parallel Bus.

IT EXPO 2009 di Senayan telah berahir minggu lalu. Penyelenggara telah berhasil mengumpulkan 150 vendor TI dan mendatangkan 1.200.000 pengunjung dalam satu pekan. Transaksi ratusan juta dollar telah berhasil disepakati.  Di EXPO ini juga dilaksanakan seminar – seminar dan beberapa event penting seputar dunia teknologi informasi.

Salah satu hal yang diselenggarakan disana adalah IT Award 2009 yang dilakukan pakar telematika dunia. Beberapa produk TI diumumkan menjadi produk terbaik selama 10 tahun terakhir dan beberapa produk diumumkan menjadi produk TI paling gagal selama 10 tahun terakhir.

Yang menarik dalam IT Award ini adalah produk USB yang mendapat dua award sekaligus namun bertolak belakang, yaitu USB.

USB dinobatkan menjadi salah satu produk TI terbaik 2009 karena implementasinya telah merubah banyak dalam perkembangan dunia TI. Beberapa hal yang bisa kami catat disini, peran USB dalam merubah dunia TI antara lain :

1. Hilangnya penggunaan disket floppy,
2. Penggunaan  USB di hampir semua peralatan komputer, mulai dari keyboard, mouse, fashdisk, External, Harddisk, modem, printer, dll. ,
3. Penggunaan USB di luar dunia komputer, seperti TV, DVD player, MP3/radio/music player, satellite dish & receiver, bahkan penggunaan USB untuk peralatan professional seperti peralatan seismograf, peralatan kedokteran ,peralatan militer dam peralatan professional lainnya,
4. Berkurangnya penggunaan media seperti Mini DV dan DVD sejak transfer data dari peralatan tersebut telah menggunakan USB.

Namun ironisnya, USB pun dinobatkan oleh para pakar menjadi produk paling gagal dalam implementasi dunia TI. USB yang pada akhir abad 20 didisain untuk efisiensi namun lebih cepat dari segi transfer data, ternyata tidak berhasil memenuhi harapan penciptanya.

USB atau Universal Serial Bus didisain untuk efisiensi penggunaan konektor (I/O) antar peralatan komputer. Sepuluh tahun yang lalu, peralatan komputer memiliki berbagai macam standar koneksi. Koneksi antara PC dengan keyboard, mouse, disk, printer, berbeda beda. Termasuk juga peralatan lainnya.

Dengan adanya USB, semua menjadi efisien, karena konektifitas antar peralatan kini menjadi satu standar. Namun salah satu konsep efisiensi USB yang tidak tercapai adalah disain untuk koneksi secara serial. Setiap PC maupun perangkat – perangkatnya diharapkan hanya memiliki satu koneksi USB input dan output. Sehinga misalnya, sebuah PC hanya bisa dicolok oleh salah satu perangkat, misalnya Keyboard, lalu mouse dicolok ke Keyboard, Printer dicolok ke mouse. Demikianlah yang diharapkan oleh penciptanya sehingga setiap perangkat lebih efisien dalam menempatkan I/O port ditubuhnya.

Dengan kegagalan ini para pakar mengusulkan apabila dalam 5 tahun kedepan tidak terjadi perubahan, maka nama USB diusulkan dirubah menjadi UPB atau Universal Parallel Bus.
