Usually I'm good for a Monday entry about what happened on Sunday, but seriously, Sunday was SOOO amazing that I needed to rest a little and let the thoughts percolate in my head before I committed to writing about it.

In the past three days I'm going on about 10 hours of sleep...so forgive me if I don't make sense.

Sunday morning I wake up to go to sermon at 8:30. My mom came with me. It had been a while since she had come because she had broken her leg and it was too painful to go to Church, stand in line, walk around, worship, stand for the reading if he asked us to, and so on and so forth. Well, her leg is just about all better, so she came with me. It was nice not to have to sit alone.
The sermon was about sex. Not like, skirting around it, really vague, wait until you're older and we'll talk about it sex. It was from Song of Songs, the honeymoon part. And it was real sex. And he talked about real sex, anything there was to be covered about sex, he covered it.
Then, he decided that since the entire series was about relationships and healthy marriages, he wanted to jump start all the married couples and sponsored a date night. For every single married couple in the church. They got cards, picked a restaurant, and within the next two weeks you go to that place and get a $30 gift card. And they'll reimburse childcare. How cool is that?

okay skip to Quest. no lesson plan. And Motion is short quite a few small group leaders, so I head over to Motion to help out. I get second graders, and it was really fun. They learned about behaving, and the Bible verse was Ephesians 5:7-10. I think. We played charades on different things that's difficult to demonstrate Christ-like behavior, and good choices you can make during the week. We had discussion questions, and, the coolest part to me, prayer cards. Each child received a card to write specific requests and what they were going to commit to during the week according to the Bible lesson. It was really cool. I grabbed them all up at the end of the day and put them all in my journal. They're all too sweet and each one made a really good commitment for the week. I'm proud of our church's next generations of Christ Seekers.

Then, later that night we had a night of worship. We sang lots of songs, and Pastor Furtick shared some really big news with us. We are getting our first permanent facility!!!!!!!!! It's in the Ashley Furniture strip mall on 74 right off of 485. HOW EXCITING RIGHT?! He said it should be ready next fall. 900 seats. NINE HUNDRED SEATS and the church offices. WOO! And Of course, we showed our pastor a little love.
October is Pastor appreciation month, so a ton of volunteers and attendees wrote letters of cards of gratitude for all Pastor does for our church. He almost cried when he got the bags full of letters. Larry Hubakta spoke some really heartfelt words of thankfulness and appreciation. About how Pastor has a specific vision for every one, even if they don't see it them selves. Like a kind of spooky, even if he doesn't know you kind of premonition way. Then Pastor came on to tell us how much he loves us, really truly loves each and every one of us, and how on Saturday nights when he's stuck with a not-so-great sermon he'll think of us, and specific faces he doesn't even know, and how we respond to him while he preaches. He told us as much as he encourages us, we encourage him with all our support and appreciation.

Then I hit up IHOP with the BaxterBynumSmith clan. Fun stuff. I'm still super excited about the new PERMANENT phase of the life of our church. I'm stoked about the fact that the Butler campus the campus they're predicting this facility will absorb. I'm excited that I get to be a part of one of the most (if not the most) important movements of God in this day and age. This life just keeps getting more and more exciting. I can't wait to see what happens next!

122 hours. During those 5 long days and 2 hours, don't close your eyes. Don't even try to sleep, or you'll lose. Can you do it? Would you do it for $10,000? Don't do this, but if you want to see people doing it, you may want to watch these videos. Right now, 8 contestants are doing their best to break a Guinness World Record. Most of the participants are not new to this. They have been in similar competitions, meaning they are already used to this. After every one of the 50+ movies they'll watch, they will have 10 minutes to rest their eyes. While watching the films, they'll have a chance to eat, drink, stand up. Even if you think you can, don't do it. The current record holder and defending champion, Ashish Sharma from Mathura, India, has seen 120 hours and 23 minutes of movies non-stop. Read the following press release & watch the videos.

Movie Marathon Contest Aims to Set Guinness World Record

Eight contestants are to watch 56 movies for 121 hours as part of a competition designed to set a new Guinness World Record. The contestant capable of fending off sleep as they watch films non-stop without averting their eyes from the screen will win $10,000 and become the new title holder – the previous world record is 120 hours and 23 minutes. The contest, entitled “Netflix Movie Watching World Championship: The Quest for the Popcorn Bowl,” will take place in New York’s Times Square. Available video includes general views of the event, contestants and Richard Simmons.

Do you know Sean Taylor? Do you know what he's been doing every year since 2002? I'll give you a hint: It involves eating at least one slice of pizza a day, every day in the month of October.

(In retrospect, that was an overly generous hint.)

I think Sean's quest excites me for two main reasons:

1. Pizza is delicious.

2. Sean's level of commitment. It's one thing to say, "Hey, this year I'm going to eat pizza every day during the month of October." It's another thing to actually follow through. And it's yet another thing to do it for SEVEN YEARS RUNNING. This year he's even making a pilgrimage to Chicago (from his typical hunting grounds, the New York metropolitan area). [Edit -- Upon rechecking his blog, I was reminded that he'll also be traveling to New Orleans, New Haven and Philadelphia this year. Folks, the man is on a mission.]

Here is his blog.

And this is a video recounting day one, 2008 -- De Lorenzo's Pizza, in Trenton, New Jersey.

Sean: May the Gods smile upon you and your awesome quest.

He had wanted to see the world so he had boarded a tramp steamer in Hamburg. It was as if the ocean

He had wanted to see the world so he had boarded a tramp steamer in Hamburg. It was as if the ocean carried him and not the ship. The ship was only the cradle that held him. It was the almighty Mother that rocked it. The ocean sang, sang for him. When he closed his eyes he could hear the melody and understand the words.

He got to know the Captain and some of the crew. By St. Paul’s reef in the middle of the ocean he asked if they could stop for a few hours to fish for some sharks. The Captain didn’t want to, but said he would ask the engineer. The engineer gave the good word, saying that he could make up the lost time before they got to Montevideo.

So they stopped, baited some hooks, threw them out and caught five powerful fellows. Like all seamen, they sliced the bodies open to look for human remains but found nothing. There is no surplus of human flesh in the middle of the Atlantic by St. Paul’s reef.

Down in Punta Arenas he went diving and found a dirty chest from the La Plata government. He looked around for more wreckage between the islands but didn’t find anything else and didn’t know why it was there.

The Captain was a Basque out of the mountains but every day he took exact measurements and put them in the logbook. In Sudhafen, Germany, an agent wrote an invoice for the many furs and sealskins and sent the ship back to Buenos Aires. They were not allowed in that port.

They crossed the straits of Magellan to Tierra del Fuego, then over to Pantagonia. They shot wild Llamas in South America and in North America shot otters and large fox. Up in Alaska they visited the wretched goldminers that were always searching, freezing, swearing and drinking. They had a few skirmishes with the boat Indians, naked in the cold, starving, dirty, pitiful animals that would sell their lives for a mouthful of schnapps.

In a quiet bay he lay on the deck watching the blue glaciers break off and slide deep down into the ocean. On the way back he looked into the water for a seal or penguin and threw bacon pieces for the cape pigeons, Boobies, and albatross that were putting on a show like clumsy giant ducks.

In the long evenings he would lay below in his cabin on furs or beneath furs or smoke and play chess with the Swedish helmsman. There were his old books as well. He certainly dreamed with them. There were not very many, only six or seven; Jacomino’s Fra. of Verona, Jacopone’s da Todi, and others by Brother Pacificus and St. Bonaventure.

The Swede looked at them derisively and a bit skittishly, "They never went around Cape Horn!"

Frank Braun said, "Never? Magellan probably had Brother Pacificus and St. Bonaventure on his bookshelf when he went around it the first time."

He left the ship, bought a pair of horses somewhere and rode off with two Indians through Pantagonia, climbed over the Andes and down into Coronal, Chile. He climbed on a small whaler at a Norwegian station and helped harpoon two whales. He broke off a pair of teeth from the huge animals and rode back to the ship snail slow in the cockleshell towing both huge animals, one on the port side and one on the starboard.

Then he went through German Chile, north with the train through Spanish Chile, again over the Andes and back to Bolivia. He sang and drank with the German officers stationed there that were making soldiers out of the barefooted monkeys.

By that time he was ready to go back. There was a steamer from Hapag Lines waiting in Antofagasta harbor. He was strong and healthy except for that little something that would never leave.

The green water was so clear you could see many meters down. Close by the boat was a thick cloud of waltzing, shoving swarms of herring that were gleaming bright like silver patina. There were a hundred, a thousand, a hundred thousand herring in the silver cloud.

The sea lions were hunting them and driving them deeper into the harbor. They formed a large half circle that surrounded the fish completely from shore to bay and back to shore on the other side. Like skilled cattle drivers one surfaced and then another. An old one surfaced and pushed against the ship’s rudder.

Oh, the old fellow knew well enough that he was free, that he was protected and that no one on the West Coast would be permitted to harm him. He was curious about the boat. Would anyone come out into the water? Would the ship leave? Who would be dumb enough to leave this place? To go away from this happy hunting ground of uncountable herring?

Fools, he thought, fools! He pushed his powerful body in a hard leap half out of the water and dove back in, head over heals reveling in the rich booty. Behind him stretched the Saltpeter wasteland, a bleak, desolate stretch that rose at almost thirty degrees between the ocean and the mountains.

It was brown, white, yellow and red. No trees, no shrubs, not a blade of grass, nothing. The city, Antofagasta stood out in the heat of the sun like Arequipa, like Mollendo, like Iquique and all the other cities, the German, the English, the Chilean, the Croatian and the Syrian. They were all torn out of the unproductive soil, the same soil that in the old country would give lush crops.

The people were pale and withered like the wasteland around them. It is as if a great sigh sounded over the long West Coast, "Water!" There is a mighty ocean full of water close by but it does not help!

The sea lion doesn’t understand at all. Flocks of white birds swarm on the cliffs and the hunt is on, the great drive hunt. The females and young animals take the middle, on both flanks are the older and stronger ones. The circle always closes tighter, the water is always more shallow, the herring are always being pushed in on the breakwater.

No humans are fishing, it is a holiday. A couple of tired and sleepy rascals look downward from the harbor as the sea lions seize, grasp, devour and hunt in the silver cloud. They throw themselves high and shoot back into the water, ten, twenty of them at the same time.

Little clever heads show between them, almost like people, these birds that have become fish, the penguins. They are jealous because they can only seize one fish at a time while the seals are devouring dozens.

An ancient giant bull, heavy and forceful, lifts himself onto the shore with a loud crash. He pants, snorts and shakes his head, blinking through the bright sunlight over at the boat.

He knows it, this old one, knows it well, knows the secret of life. It is fish, he thinks. That’s what it is! For humans as well as it is for the saucy birds, for the penguins! It is fish, oh, you silly people, it is fish! Come back into the ocean!

He laughs, looks smiling at the clumsy pelican that is over in the water splashing like a thick ball! It sticks its head under the water and brings it back out with a herring in its beak. Then it throws the fish high and catches it in its craw before fluttering laboriously up from the waves back to the shelter of the cliffs.

Clumsy and awkward, thinks the old one, so clumsy and awkward! As if to prove his point, he springs down from the beach with a mighty leap into the water and emerges in the blink of an eye with the booty between his teeth. It is not a herring this time but a different fish three feet long. He holds the wriggling fish sideways in his mouth, throws it high like the pelican and catches it. Then he does it again like a juggler!

Seagulls come, five or six of them, screaming and shrieking as they fly around his head pecking at the fish, wanting their share as well. He bites it in two, devours one half and leaves the other for the birds, magnanimous, almost compassionate, and returns once more to the hunt.

You’ve got to love acclaimed casual game developer Codeminion’s commitment to innovation and qua

You’ve got to love acclaimed casual game developer Codeminion’s commitment to innovation and quality. Whether exploring new ways to play connect the dots (Magic Match) or turning the marble-blasting genre on its head (StoneLoops of Jurassica!), the studio always makes a point of doing something eye-catching with each release. Be thankful then nothing’s changed in latest offering Ancient Quest of Saqqarah.

This flagship outing – an Egyptian-themed puzzler blessed with stunning visuals and varied play styles – blows the doors off previous debuts, raising the bar for the entire genre in the process.

The first thing you’ll be struck by is the title’s riveting presentation, which uses convincing voice-overs, slick cinematic sequences and dazzling smoke, flame and electrical effects to instantly entertain and captivate. Per the featured tale, expertly narrated by magical blue talking monkey Khufu (who also guides you through your travels), once every thousand years an eclipse covers the ancient pyramid of Saqqarah, beneath which evil god Seth lies imprisoned.

But with the wicked deity’s bonds weakening in recent times, it’s up to you to visit the secret oasis wherein he lies buried beneath the sands and reinforce the wards. How to do so? Easy – by visiting the secret temples of the seven benevolent deities who cast him into exile (i.e. Isis, Anubis and Horus), each of which contains a new, talking immortal for you to meet, and fresh play style to master.

Indeed, you heard right – this isn’t so much a single, well-crafted puzzler as it is a mix of seven stalwart, individual game types, brilliantly blended together over a whopping 500 scenarios. For example, at one point you’ll find yourself swapping adjacent colored gems to make groups of three or more similarly-shaded tokens, thereby lighting up connecting pathways to complete each stage. Later challenges might instead involve exchanging two pieces anywhere on the game board, clicking and dragging connected lines of stones, or rotating sets of gems to accomplish similar feats.

What’s amazing isn’t just how much mileage the game gets merely by assembling stages from curved as well as linear pathways, or offering several spins on a simple twist. It’s also how well everything comes together, from hieroglyphic-spotting bonus stages that let you grab magic points exchangeable for the option to skip certain levels to the ever-present ability to unlock new powers and spells.

You see, there’s a huge wealth of bonus options available, from earnable ranks to keys that let you skip a temple ahead, even if you haven’t completed the current venue’s full range of vignettes. (Thankfully, using a gorgeously-rendered campaign map, one can always return later.) Think gems which gain explosive power every few moves, letting you light up additional links and remove obstacles and token-blocking barriers with greater ease. Don’t forget magical incantations accessible by making larger matches which cause stones to fall and shatter either, with a scarab taking them to Khufu afterwards, who’ll employ his mystic powers to aid you by shooting out lightning bolts and fireballs. There’s even an option to gain wildcard tiles that’ll match with any color token, provided you connect several gems in sequence.

Minor concerns aside (curving pathways sometimes make it tricky to see when you can create matches, each stage ends with a mandatory canned score-tallying animation, etc.), it’s hard to find fault with the overall package. Quite frankly, the level of audiovisual performance, play variation and general game balancing on display is absolutely staggering, right down to spoken instructions, well-timed hints and scaleable difficulty levels that effortlessly ease aggravation and instantly boost general replay value. Mind you, that’s before we even consider optional downloadable packs users can import that offer more stages, dazzling soundtrack tunes and oodles of extras to explore.

Frankly, from start to finish, it’s hard to discount the tremendous level of playtesting and polish that’s gone into the adventure. As such, Ancient Quest of Saqqarah doesn’t just stand up there with the medium’s best desktop time killers – in many ways, it’ll also change the way you look at them going forward. Whereas most mainstream-friendly amusements attempt to do one thing well, this landmark game instead delivers multiple thrills in a single, attention-grabbing package. Download today and see for yourself: It’s the type of title you’ll easily be playing weeks hence, and, at least for the next several months, using as a benchmark against which to score all future competition.

Ladies and Gentlemen, today you are in for a rare treat. It’s very seldom that I get to break stories here on Friesen Point, but today I get to do just that.

As loyal Friesen Pointers will recall, about a week ago, I posted an entirely genuine transcript of a conversation between big time Hollywood actor Will Smith and big time Hollywood director Barry Sonnenfeld, wherein they negotiated a deal for the recording of the theme for Wild Wild West. In it, we saw a darker, but possibly truer, side to Big Willy.

Anyway, I got the transcript from a “very reliable” (his words) source who knew a guy who once had sex with a girl in a dance club bathroom who was in the room with Sonnenfeld and Big Willy during the conversation. Apparently, she was an assistant to Barry Sonnenfeld for a while, and she has a stockpile of delightful tales of Hollywood goings-on. Well, it took me a lot of hanging around in weird bathrooms, but I managed to track this classy young dame down. She insists that I only refer to her as “Clams Casino,” but, in return for my maintaining her relative anonymity, she’s promised me full access to her vault of “behind the scenes” scoops on some of this country’s most beloved stars.

Today, she has given me an exclusive behind the scenes transcript from the filming of the Barry Sonnenfeld directed film Big Trouble. Here we find Sonnenfeld engaged in a heated discussion with big time Hollywood actor Tim Allen over a re-shoot. Enjoy this exclusive look at the darker, truer side of Hollywood.

Barry Sonnenfeld: Tim, we need to talk about that last scene.

Tim Allen: What are you talking about? “One Take Tim,” that’s what they fucking call me. Forget about it, that scene is done. Put a fork in it.

BS: Tim, there’s no doubt that you’re a legend, and I appreciate you lending this film a little class, but, with all due respect, I’m the director here and I really think we need to try that one again.

TA: Listen, Barry, I’d love to sit around and explain to you exactly how I nailed that damn scene, but I’m a fucking busy man.

BS: I’m not saying it’s all your fault, Tim. I was watching the playback, and I wasn’t getting the type of chemistry I want from you and Rene (Russo).

TA: You can’t possibly put that on me. That dried out bitch is dead behind the eyes. Did you see me out there? I was bleeding out there for you! I was running a goddamn clinic, a free Tim Allen Acting Workshop!

BS: So, what do you want me to do? Refilm the scene without you?

TA: Damn right! I’ve got places to be.

BS: Tim, I can’t do that. This scene is full of two-shots. For Christ’s sake, the climax of the scene involves Rene tackling you over your desk.

TA: Listen man, I’ve just gotta calm down. I’ve got to walk it off.

(Tim Allen walks about fifteen feet to the left and proceeds to smoke a joint with Jason Lee)

TA: Alright, I’m going to put all my cards on the table here. There are three moderately overweight women waiting for me naked in my trailer with their pussies full of heroin, and if they leave before we’re done with this scene, I swear to Christ that I’m out of here.

BS: Come on, Tim, there’s no reason to be like that.

TA: You think I’m kidding? Try me, Sonnenfeld, just try me. If even one of those chunky opium sluts leaves my trailer before we get done here, I’ll be on my merry way to start production on “Galaxy Quest 2” quicker than you can say “Jungle 2 Jungle.” I swear to God; I’ve got Tony Shalhoub on speed-dial.

BS: Alright, everyone on set! Roll cameras! And…action!

hopefully me,jab, master will keep adding more n more replied here in up-coming days

exporters:
there are almost 3 exporters out there on web (panda from some UK guy, cgr from orignal company and another one)
panda works best for me for sure right now
cgr didn't worked perfect, crashed max but it has a shader which is similar to orignal application and it lets you setup everything in max and even lets you view this as well.

approach 1: using panda exporter

needs to reimport data in quest and save pool / manage ( save cgr file)

becareful about naming convention its hardly workable right now

do shaders setup again for reflection / refraction / GI / alpha / transparency

approach 2: using cgr exporter (native)

directly export cgr file (good plus)

can also setup shaders in max (good plus)

just thinking why it hanged...

workspace/project/data management:
as a newbie best approach is
1- save workspace file
2- save default project pool in same folder with suitable name e.g (main file.cgr)
3- save all - so everything will be udpated and in same folder (temp project should be removed right now)
4- import data(.x/cgr) with new pool name and save in same folder

Hey everyone welcome to a True Gaming exclusive Two-Tailed Playthrough of The Legend of Zelda Second Quest! This is something I've been planning for a long time and I finally got to do it. This run has commentary (unlike the first quest run I did a long time ago) and does NOT abuse the money making game. I use it once to buy a candle but that's it. Like the first run I use the same awkward route to make the run as difficult and entertaining as possible. Enjoy!
