Rumours about the third installation for Black Lagoon is spreading like a bushfire throughout the net by now, still unconfirmed and I couldnt find any update for this sensational news. As a Revy fan myself, I was happy when I heard about this and looks like even animenewsnetwork itself has also reserved a slot for this anime HERE.

After I looked at my apartment's bookshelf which is covered with nothing but figures, I couldn't figure out which figure I should make a review of first. My apartment doesn't have nearly as many figures as my house and whatever I have there is too big to transport for today because of all the art materials I have to bring for school. So I looked to the side at my one unopened figure in the apartment, Revoltech Revy. The sticker was taunting me.

Revy was first released in October 2006 at the retail price of 1500 yen in Japan.
I love how they shaped her body, her guns are detailed and pretty, but her FACE. What happened to it?! I'm glad they gave us two hairstyles though. One with a ponytail and one with her hair down. I only took pictures of her with her hair up, still sexy! Love how there were so many joints that we were able to create such dynamic poses. Remember this is WAY before Figma was introduced.

No other anime girls other there are just nearly as cool or with such a hot tattoo. I still remember seeing her giant wall scroll at Anime Expo 2007 that must have been at least 15x of a rather wall scroll. I was encased and overwhelmed with her sexy design. Though, I say the figure's face could really use some work. This is one of the few faces that revoltech's ever dabbed with. Remember what they did to revoltech Saber? That got reduced to around $8~12 dollars at Fanime 2008 when Kaiyodo Revoltechs redeemed themselves with the new Fraulein series.

These pictures were taken at my workplace. I work in the technology department at the moment and getting laid-off any moment. In any case, there's a keyboard, mouse, a not very Revy-friendly environment but it'll do for our first review. Just for practice! :]
Did I mention she comes with a lovely stand? It holds her well with her ankle slanted but it can also be rotated to your angle of liking. The only problem I had with it was the weight. It's too light to do some of the more dynamic poses that a normal person could do so I ended up taping the base down for some of the shots.

At the end of the first shoot, Revy was broken. her pony tail came off.
Good thing I had Super Glue! I'm going to have plastic fingers for a whole weekend!

Om stedet: Dette er også et av de fineste stedene vi har vært. Det gjelder alt fra hytta vi leide, utleier, natur og omgivelser. Været var også på vår side!

• Natt til søndag kom det en storm, som blåste bort mange av bodene. Tivoliet ble stengt pga uværet
• Spilte en del fotball, men ble angrepet av mygg
• fant også ballbinge ved skole. Også mygg der på kvelden
• Fikk masse stor fisk! Vi satte også krabbeteiner, en forsvant.

Black Lagoon ist für mich der Inbegriff für Girls n' Guns, zwar ist die Story nich immer ansprechend (missionen undso) aber Sexy Girls mit dicken Wummen, scharfen Blades und weiß der Geier noch für Killer Artikeln machen mit guter Grafik und jede Menge Action ein unterhaltsames Anime Feuerwerk...sofern man auf besagte Elemente steht.

Ich für meinen Teil freu mich wie die Grinse Katze und kanns kaum erwarten. Hoffentlich falls es einen neuen Intro Track gibt, ist er so gut wie das 1. Intro "Mell - Red Fraction"

I've had this version of Revy for a while now, but it's only recently that I actually took her out of the packaging. I originally ordered her with the full intention to sell. Seeing as polystone figures seem to be expensive and all, I thought that I could make a small amount from it (like $20 or something). Turns out, that demand for her at the time wasn't very high. I don't know if it still is that low, but regardless, I decided to keep her. She's now on display, but at a sacrifice of putting two other figures away in order to make the space.

I hope you like my new photoshop image. I'm not going to talk too much about how I did it, because it's really no different than my other posts. The only real difference for this one though, are the shadows. I painted them on myself. I couldn't use the shadows on the original because they were on a checkered tile, so I could only use the original image as a reference for creating a new shadow. It was difficult to try and get it to look convincing, but overall, it's not too bad, I suppose.

The face is fairly well painted. None of it are decals like typical PVC figures. These are painstakenly painted on using a brush. I do wish that the expression on her wasn't so... casual. The cigarette is a metal piece that you poke into her mouth. It looks terrible without it, so it's not an optional piece of accessory.

Very nicely sculpted tattoo. (what do you think I'm talking about?!) It's actually engraved in her rather than simply painted or decaled on. While decaling it on would be more believable, engraving it on actually gives depth to it, and makes it quite cool. She looks so Lara Croft without it. :)

The attention to detail is very nice. To know that they are using a pretty hard material (as I said before, PVC is much softer) it's pretty incredible that they were able to do this with polystone.

I know it's just a gun, but the detail is good. I like this shot anyway.

The sculpt on her hands are quite well done, the details on the boots are good too. The laces are bendable metal that go into holes in the boots (which are protected by metal rings of sorts)

När jag var liten, minns inte hur gammal jag var men säg runt 10 år så var jag med om en nära döden-upplevelse. Jag och en kompis var ute och cyklade. Vi skulle åka nedför en ganska lång och brant backe (det var på en gång-cykelväg), nedanför backen fanns såna där bommar, så man inte skulle åka rätt ut på gatan. När vi är längst upp i backen så hoppar helt plötsligt kedjan av på min cykel och jag fick panik och skrek. Men tystnade ganska fort för framför mig ser jag bara hur mitt liv passerar revy. Sedan känner jag ett hårt tryck mot magen och vaknar upp av att jag ligger på backen och på andra sidan av bommarna. Det hårda trycket mot magen var bommen som jag körde rätt in i. De som bodde i huset bredvid backen hade sett vad som hände och kom springandes, men som tur var så gick ju allt bra. Bara lite öm i magen och några skrapsår här och där var det enda jag fick som skador.

Har ni varit med om en nära döden-upplevelse?

"Black Lagoon is a delivery company, who just happen to brush against the law from time to time." 

That's the motto for the crew of the Black Lagoon, which is very befitting if you have ever seen this anime series or read the manga. The manga is at volume seven in Japan and the English releases are due to start in August of this year. The anime is divided into two seasons spanning a total of twenty four episodes. The first series is simply entitled "Black Lagoon" contains the first twelve episodes and "Black Lagoon: The Second Barrage" contains episodes thirteen to twenty four. I like the way that the anime is made in such a way that there is a sense of continuity, they pick up where they left off previously. On the downside, I think that dedicating the last six episodes of Black Lagoon around one job was a bit too long. Plus, they just announced that there are plans for a third season of Black Lagoon. Also, I would rate this anime in the 18+ simply for the violence and the very, very colourful language, usually by Revy. Action packed anime, usually because of Revy's gunfights. :) I'm also going to include a video of the ending theme for Black Lagoon as I think it's the most haunting theme tune above even Elfen Lied, and that's really something.

This is the story of Rokuro Okajima or Rock as he is known as throughout the remainder of Black Lagoon. He was an ordinary worker for a big company in Japan, who unfortunately was chosen to deliver a disk containing sensitive information. The ship that he is on becomes hijacked by the Black Lagoon crew but the situation worsens when the company he works for abandons him. Eventually Rock is invited to join the Black Lagoon by Revy, much to his surprise. Rock is courteous, polite and habitual to the extent that he still wears a business shirt with a tie even though he works on the Black Lagoon. Although Rock is not as dark as his fellow crew members, he is described as twilight. Neither good nor evil, but straddling the fence, using tactical words as weapons rather than guns. Even Dutch, the captain of the Black Lagoon says the crew is complete with Rock especially because he refuses to use a gun. It brings more balance to the vicousness of Revy and Dutch and the coldness of Benny.

Now this girl has several ways of spelling her nickname so here are all of them; Revy, Revi, Levi, Levy but her real name is Rebecca. Also known as "Two Hands" as she is not only extremely proficient with her gunmanship, sh is also ambidextrous. The name of this series shouldn't be Black Lagoon, it should be Revy and Black Lagoon. This ass kicking, chain smoking, gun toting girl is really a girl that you don't want to get on the bad side of. Revy is a Chinese American but it seems that she has had a difficult childhood. Throughout the series of Black Lagoon snippets of Revy's traumatic past are revealed, which can help us to understand why she's vicious and unforgiving. It seems that when Revy fights a particularly difficult battle, a snapshot seagull may be seen flying overhead for a moment. In a flashback to her childhood, Revy shot a man through a pillow and the feathers scattered everywhere. This is perhaps a reference that she can never escape from her past. Revy is unpredictable, violent and just plain likes killing for fun. Personally I think that she is even more psychotic than Lucy from Elfen Lied, simply because Revy doesn't have a split personality, it's all her. That's why Revy is such a likable psycho. :) 

Dutch is an African-American who is the captain of the Black Lagoon and is a former soldier in the Vietnam War, but not much is ever mentioned about Dutch's past. He's rarely seen engaged in battle, usually Revy and her trusty guns are  dispatched to deal with annoyances. He is usually seen piloting the Black Lagoon and organising deliveries, especially with Hotel Moscow the organised crime syndicate in Roanapur. Although, Dutch seems to be as nearly as ruthless as Revy, he isn't afraid to disicpline her, even though at one stage they end up pointing their guns at each other.

Benny is the electronics handyman and getaway driver aboard the Black Lagoon. We find out out that he was a former student of Florida University until he got into trouble with the mafia and the C.I.A. Revy's generous spirit once again flourished as she was the person who rescued Benny and brought him to the Black Lagoon. Although Benny and Rock are the more peaceful members of the crew, I think that Benny is somewhat cruel. This observation is especially true when it comes to the case of the young twin assassins Hansel and Gretel. Benny confesses to Rock that if you ignore it then you don't have to be concerned, only concentrating on the here and now rather than something that is out of your power.

I know that this video kinda concentrates on Revy but it's one of the best I could find trawling through them. The song is the actual opening theme tune to Black Lagoon. It's called Red Fraction and is performed by MELL. 

The most haunting theme tune I have ever had the chills to listen to. It rates even above the Latin opening of Elfen Lied, a series which is mind numbingly scarring. It's called Don't Look behind performed by Edison.

Har denna på lånad VHS... eller, ja, jag har lämnat den vidare ytterligare ett steg för att jag vill ha den överförd till DVD... vilket nu var typ två år sen och det är fortfarande inte fixat... *s*

Fattar inte att den inte finns (vad jag kan hitta), på nätet nån stans... Nån som vet, så bara hojta till! Tror jag sett den, utan att ljuga, minst 50-60 gånger... och kan lätt se den minst lika många gånger till!

Massor av deras revyer är nu släppta på DVD, men inte denna... fattar inte varför?!? Är ju fan den bästa... LÄTT!

Rokuro Okajima es un empresario Japonés en una ciudad llena de empresarios japoneses. Un día normal en su vida consiste en ir a beber socialmente con clientes y ser pateado por sus jefes. Finalmente un día “coje un break” como decimo los dominicanos y la compañía para la que trabaja lo manda para los mares tropicales del este de China a entregar un disco…pero en el bote en el que anda es secuestrado por una banda de mercenarios contratados para robarlo. “Rock” (así lo nombro uno de de los secuestradores) consigue la atención de la única integrante femenina de de los mercenarios “Revy” cree que “Rock” puede valer algo, y decide llevárselo como rehén. Sin embargo  el disco suele se mas problemático de lo que vale y complica todo para Rocky para los mercenarios conocidos como Black Lagoon. Casi en la mitad del primer episodio nuestra banda de mercenarios con el pobre de Rock entran a este bar a tomarse unos tragos antes de ir a entregar el disco, aquí podemos ver un poco mas las interacción entre los personajes, por ejemplo podemos ver mas  de la rudeza de “Revy” y por lo que ella nos revelo, al parecer  ella salvo a “Benny” de ser encarcelado por el FBI o acecinado por la mafia hace dos años atrás, de “Ducht” el líder deno se hablo mucho “Benny” solo dijo que era extraño e inteligente.  Mientras Rock estaba relajándose en este “bar en el fin del mudo” (así lo describió el) otro grupo de mercenarios contratados por la misma compañía para la cual Rock trabaja,  ya estaban listos afuera del establecimiento para comenzar el ataque y recobrar el disco. En un momento estos mercenarios armados hasta los dientes como dice el dicho abrieron fuego contra el bar desde afuera. Una lluvia de balas adentro del bar aniquilo a todos los que estaban ahí menos a nuestros héroes que ya se habían escondido detrás del mostrador que era aprueba de calibre 50 según el dueño Bao. En este entonces es cuando podemos ver de lo que es capaz Revy  lo cual es muy buena con las armas en general, conocida como “Two Hands” o “Dos Manos” en Español, como su alias lo describe ella es ambidextra y esto leda cierta ventaja pues ella usa dos pitolas y las pueda usar al mismo tiempo como si fueran extensiones de su cuerpo, con toda la confusión Rock y los miembros de la compañía Lagoon logran escapar del bar hacia el bote. La verdad tienen que ver los primeros episodios, así sabrán si esta serie llena de acción violencia paisajes exóticos y personajes súper interesantes al estilo Cowboy Bebop pero aun mas violenta jejeje.  Black Lagoon esta disponible en forma de Manga y el anime por supuesto este consiste de dos temporadas de 13 episodios, yo compre en DVD la primera temporara estoy esperando por la segunda. El doblaje al ingles es perfecto con algunos cambios pero nada grave o alarmante, no se si saldrá en español pues no tengo mucha información de las compañías que se encargan de eso en Latino América si alguien sabe pues me pueden informar.  La verdad no puedo recomendar este anime mas de lo que lo eh hecho, fue unos de los que inicio (junto a otros) este interés por este hobby lo que es el anime.

Bueno en realidad no se si de verdad tendre tiempo.

Tengo los DVD de la primera temporada, ya veremos que pasa en los dias que vienen.

Det var ikke hyggelig å våkne til dette været, men noen må jo gjøre det også.
Stine var sent hjemme i går. Hun og venninnene i syforeninga var på revy i Strømstad, jeg tror det var dattera til hun ene som var med i revyen og derfor dro de ned for å se på dette. Etterpå var de ute og tok en matbit i Strømstad. Kvelden hadde vært veldig bra og revyen også.

I dag jobber Stine og jeg slapper av her hjemme og det blir sikkert litt jeg kan pusle med utover dagen, rydde kjøkken osv.  Trimballen til Stine er i ferd med å gå i oppløsning og jeg får se hva som skjer med den.

Stang vil anmelde Staff for uttalelsene han kom med på tv i går og det skjønner jeg godt. Jeg fulgte med  på intervjuet og lurte på om Staff var ved sine fulle fem når han uttrykte seg som han gjorde. Han la all skyld for det hele på politiet og mente at det var hysteri. At barn var utsatt for oralsex betydde ingenting mente han, det tok de ikke skade av???! Slike forsvarere trenger ingen, men kriminelle som mener at de har full rett til å gjøre som de lyster elsker jo en person som Staff. Jeg kan ikke skjønne at dette har noe med vanlig forsvarspraksis å gjøre heller. Jeg håper virkelig han blir anmeldt for slike utsagn. Offera til "Lommemannen" fortjener ikke å få slikt slengt i trynet sitt. Nå håper jeg bare at poitiet har tatt rett mann og at de virkelig kan bevise det. Det tragiske ville være om feil person blir uthengt for dette.
