Image via Wikipedia

Most of the men in this world love to fish. The majority of these men love to fish alone. There is no need for big fancy fishing boats when there is only one person fishing.

A small fishing boat is all one needs to fish if you are the only fisherman. A small aluminum fishing boat is the best idea for a lone fisherman. It is lightweight, easy to haul, easy to carry and easy to maneuver in the water.

Convenient

This small fishing boat is best used as a car-topper or hauled on a mini trailer. Depending on the age and agility of the fisherman depends on which would be the best. But it is very convenient to haul a small fishing boat on the top of your car and it can easily be thrown on top and tied down. Because it is so lightweight, taking the small fishing boat off your car top is very easy.

You can set your small fishing boat straight into the water, or you can pull it by hand to the water’s edge. It is best to have a small motor and oars with your fishing boat. A motor is best because it takes a lot of physical effort to row back and forth with oars. Since fishing trips are for relaxation, the idea of rowing is not that appealing. But oars are needed in case there is a problem with the motor when you are out on the lake.

Overnight

If you decide on a weekend trip you will need to make camp and spend the night. A small fishing boat is the best because it can maneuver into small areas that would fit into a small camp. Again, the convenience for a single fisherman to handle a small fishing boat is priceless for the single trips.

Some men do prefer the idea of a major sport fishing boat trip. They prefer the convenience of having a staff do everything for them. From setting the poles, to keeping everyone stocked with beer, these charter sport fishing trips can be fun all day trips. But there is nothing more special than the privacy and quiet of a secluded fishing trip to dissolve the tension from a hectic week.

A small fishing boat may weigh 51 kg. If you decide to take a longer distance trip to a fishing spot, you might consider a small one axel single trailer for your small fishing boat. If you know you will be driving in the sand, it is always good to have your boat on a trailer. But if you are a fisherman on a budget, the most economical way of fishing is with a small fishing boat on top of your car, worms in your tackle box and a sturdy fishing pole.

Weight - 186 lbs.

Average max iso-bench - 220 lbs, 4 reps x 1 set, followed by two to three sets of reduced weight (20 to 40 lbs down each).

Average max seated lat pulldown - 220 lbs, 2 in front, two behind, 1 set wide grip, followed by 200 x 3 front-back at narrow grip, then repeated 20 lbs down each for two more sets of as much as I can (three to four front and back). My forearms give out before anything else, and I cry.

Average max seated row - 220 lbs, four to five reps, decreasing by 20 to 40 lbs at six or more reps (till I give out after about three sets).

Average max seated dumbbell shoulder press - 55 lbs per, for six to seven reps, moving down five to tens pounds each set for three to four sets.

Average max standing dumbbell arm extensions - 30 lbs for six to eight reps straight out, front and side sets, decreasing each set by 5 lbs, until my shoulders vomit. This is last exercise.

Average kneeling abdominal twist crunch - 125 lbs (stack plus addon weights), four reps front, sides, and out front. Decreasing by 15 to 30 lbs while increasing to four or five reps per set, three sets. My abs are trying to assassinate me by this point. This is first exercise, along with seated calf raises, done daily.

Average seated calf raises - Warm up with 180 lbs plus body weight, 12 times, then 250 lbs six times, four sets, feet in different positions. First exercise, supersetted with abs, done daily. Care is taken to avoid too much pressure on my knees.

Average max seated bicep concentration dumbbell curl - 25 lbs warm up six times, followed by 40 lbs per arm three to four times (ending with assists and negatives), dropping 5 lbs each set at six reps till exhausted and on fire.

Average max standing one-arm tricep kickdown - Warm up at 40 lbs x eight reps, carefully going to 60 lbs assisted times four reps, then decreasing by ten pounds for six to eight reps till exhausted (ending around 40 lbs).

Average max seated leg press - Warm up at 360 lbs, closest seating for full leg extension, 12 reps, then 480 lbs (stack max) for two sets of 8 to 12 reps each, feet in different positions. Need to rest here to avoid woozy spells sometimes.

Calves and abs are dailies and go first, because I will not have the energy to do them later. Arm extensions are last, cuz they suck the most. Legs are a close second.

That He would grant you, according to the riches of His glory, to be strenghtened with might through His Spirit in the inner man.--Ephesians 3:16.

During a picnic on a scorching day at a Wisconsin lake, Ole's fiancee Bess said how much she would enjoy some ice cream. So the young Norweian immigrant gladly made a 5-mile round-trip to bring it to her. When he returned exhausted with a container of melted ice cream, Ole told himself there must be a better way. He put his mechanical mind to work, and a year later in 1907, Ole Evinrude field-tested his lightweight, detachable motor for small boats. He married Bess, and when the outboard motors went into commercial production, she wrote the advertising slogan: "Don't Row! Throw the Oars Away!"

Ole Evinrude was not a lazy man, but he understood the limits of human power. Each day we employ machinery to accompolish the tasks of life. But we often stubbornly rely on ourselves when we're trying to serve God. In Ephesians 3, the apostle Paul wrote of a better way: "That he would grant you, according to the riches of His glory, to be strengthened with might through His Spirit in the inner man"(v.16). Instead of self-effort, Paul urged believers to find strength in "Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us"(v.20).

Don't row! Recieve and use God's Power---David McCasland.

Well it is pouring down here in Cyprus, which really is unusual for September. The weather is more

Well it is pouring down here in Cyprus, which really is unusual for September. The weather is more like October. Still after the heat, it is welcome to feel a bit cooler. May be it will lay the no see ums to rest too....We can live in hope..

We could do with the rain though, Cyprus is going through a drought at the moment. Most villages are having water cuts every other day, which means the water is actually switched off for 24 hours. We have been luckier, and have only had around half a dozen cuts all told.

Today I have been to see my pal in the hairdressers in the village. It is called Tips and Toes and as you can tell my the name she also does nails. She uses Bio Sculpture Gel, which is a really healthy way of having your nails done.

Bio Sculpture® Gel - looks as thin and natural as your own nails, only better! Discover the difference of a healthier nail treatment that is a pleasure to use and wear.

Bio Sculpture® Gel is a one component nail treatment that strengthens and promotes the growth of natural nails. Bio Sculpture® Gel is merely applied onto the prepared nail, with no time consuming build-up process, is self-leveling which eliminates excessive buffing and is cured under a UVA Lamp in 2 Min's - no time is wasted waiting for the product to dry. Bio Sculpture® Gel is removable without damage to natural nails by Soaking Off in less than 15 minutes!

Anyhow she had a new hair treatment, so wanted to try it out someone, so I had a free treatment, and blow dry. There is something about having your hair done, it just perks you up and makes you feel good.

The new Knitty online magazine is up, well has been for a while, but thought I would mention it as a good source for patterns and knitting chat. It is also there 6th anniversary issue. i absolutely love the front page pattern of the Jacket called twist and shout. I don't know if I would have the patience to finish something so big, as I am terrible and finishing my projects. The sock designs are geogeous to. There is Barogue, Interlocking Leaves and Garden Gate they should keep us busy while the days grow shorter and nights longer.

Another pattern I feel compelled to mention is Abby which is a Cowl, or if you like a smoke ring it knit in the round with laceweight yarn, the pattern is a 18 row repeat, and looks simple enough...I am just in love with these, again one of these days I will have to have a go at one.

Al Sharpton met with death row inmate Troy Davis Saturday evening, just three days away from Davis' scheduled execution.

Under tight security, Rev. Sharpton and Rev. Raphael Warnock of New Ebenezer Baptist Church were escorted into the Georgia Diagnostic prison in Jackson, GA.

"We spent about 30 35 minutes with Troy. He seemed very hopeful and reflective. We read the Bible with him and prayed", Sharpton said.

WATCH VIDEO HERE

Davis was convicted of killing Savannah police officer Mark MacPhail in 1989, but since then most of the witnesses have recanted their testimony.

Despite an earlier stay of execution and numerous rallies asking for a new trial, the Georgia Supreme Court denied the request.

"Here you have a case where all the evidence is circumstantial and even that evidence is very shaky. Why not have another hearing what are people afraid of?", Warnock said.

Friday, the Georgia Board of Pardons and Paroles denied Davis clemency, but did not give a reason.

Sharpton says if Davis' execution does happen Tuesday, he plans to meet with him in the hours before it.

“It’s tricky to time it, to get under the conduits,” Rob Buchanan said of navigating the Bronx Kill.

THERE are times when the narrow strait known as the Bronx Kill, which separates Randalls Island from the southern tip of the Bronx, looks neglected. At low tide one recent Saturday, for example, a T-shirt and a surge protector lay on the bottom, along with the remnants of a car that had turned the exact color of the rocks it had settled on.

But for canoers, kayakers and other boaters, who know to come when the tide is just right, the Bronx Kill is home to blue crabs and schools of fish, and serves as a precious passageway connecting the East and Harlem Rivers.

“It’s a natural day trip — float through, have a picnic and come back,” said Rob Buchanan, the president of the Village Community Boathouse in Manhattan.

But navigating the kill can be tricky. Directly over the water are two concrete beams, built by Con Edison in the 1960s, that contain cables that carry power to Randalls Island. Sometimes a boater has about a foot of clearance under the beams, but at other times it’s down to inches. “It’s tricky to time it, to get under the conduits,” Mr. Buchanan said.

Now, in light of significant changes planned for the area, boaters’ concerns have turned to this tight fit.

The first challenge was a plan to build a pedestrian bridge over the kill as part of the South Bronx Greenway project. When local officials and boating representatives heard the idea, they lobbied the city’s Economic Development Corporation to ensure that the bridge would be high enough for boat traffic. After seeing preliminary renderings of the bridge, the concerned parties were satisfied.

But now there is a second construction plan for the Bronx Kill. Con Edison wants to build more electrical conduits to Randalls Island to supply more power to a water treatment plant there.

The boaters say that if Con Ed proceeds with this project, it might as well raise the relatively low height of the current conduits. “If they’re going to do a big investment here, let’s do it all,” said Harry Bubbins, the director of Friends of Brook Park, a community environmental group that frequently runs boats through the kill. Noting that the undersides of the Con Ed beams show signs of decay, he added, “There’s a sense they’re just going to throw these things in.”

Chris Olert, a Con Ed spokesman, said that the utility hopes to finish the project by next summer. “We’re working with the city E.D.C., and I’m sure we and they together will address concerns,” he added. “There has to be sound engineering and the project has got to be affordable. Occasionally, people request things that just aren’t affordable for all of our customers.”

Meanwhile, Mr. Bubbins plans to continue to take people through the strait.

“We’re taking more people out to the site, introducing people to the project and raising awareness about it,” he said. “It’s very different when you’re on the water.”
