      Este fin de semana publicaba El Mundo que más de 4000 mujeres, 22 de ellas menores, usaron la píldora abortiva en 2006. Los datos han sido facilitados por el Gobierno a Gaspar Llamazares en su función de presidente de la Comisión de Sanidad del Congreso de los diputados. La píldora utilizada es la RU-486. En 2001 se registraban 1976 casos, un aumento más que considerable . Tambien se incrementa el número de mujeres más jovenes que utilizan este sistema de aborto, desde  2 menores de 15 años en 2001 hasta 546 con edades entre 15 y 19 en 2006. Desde hace poco se precisa  el dato de la  nacionalidad de las mujeres.

      Es una prueba más de la pésima educación sexual-afectiva de nuestro país  No se forma en la cultura de la vida, de respeto al cuerpo y de c0nocimiento del mismo. Se opta por una " libertad má entendida " que conlleva la pérdida de seres humanos. No podemos seguir permitiendo esta sangría de vidas humanas indefensas, resultado de una cultura de muerte donde las consecuencias de una sexualidad mal entendida - en la que no se habla de entrega, de amor y de vida , sólo de placer- acabarán  pasando su factura a la sociedad, sino lo está haciendo ya . 

            No quiero ser pesimista , pero caminamos hacia la autodestrucción . Y como soy optimista por naturaleza, pienso esta terrible realidad tiene que unirnos en la responsabilidad de hablar a los jóvenes con más claridad y premura de que el ejercicio de la sexualidad requiere una madurez que obliga a tomárselo muy en serio, y de que esas condiciones no se suelen dar en la adolescencia .

Alla vigilia della commercializzazione anche nel nostro paese della pillola abortiva (RU 486) per l'interruzione farmacologica di gravidanza, se ancora nei salotti televisivi si dà l'impressione che vi sia un margine per noi donne di poter scegliere liberamente, ed in coscienza, della nostra Vita le cose stanno ben diversamente.

Di fatto, in Italia l'80% dei ginecologi, il 46% degli anestesisti e il 39% del personale non medico non praticano aborti e in una città come Roma l'Ivg si fa solo in pochi centri come il San Filippo Neri e il San Camillo (La Repubblica,15/02/2008).

Non solo, si sta francamente sfiorando il delirio di onnipotenza tipico dei cattolici praticanti laddove una "interpretazione più estesa" della legge 194/78, permette agli stessi medici obiettori di rifiutarsi di prescrivere persino la pillola del giorno dopo, un metodo contraccettivo di emergenza che impedisce l'ovulazione (quindi è un metodo contraccettivo non abortivo) se assunta entro le 72 ore successive al rapporto sessuale. Questa situazione è pienamente sostenuta dal Comitato Nazionale di Bioetica nella nota sulla contraccezione di emergenza approvata il 28/05/2004.

Tutto ciò è ridicolo.

Ridicola l'inesistente laicità dello Stato, ridicola la mancanza di vigilanza su una situazione che non solo lede i diritti umanitari della donna in quanto tale, ne lede anche i diritti civili in quanto paziente e cittadino. La pratica incontrollata dell'obiezione di coscienza da parte dei medici non può in alcun modo ledere il diritto del paziente ad una prestazione che l'ordinamento giuridico riconosce come dovuta (art. 1, Legge 405/75) e la Costituzione come un diritto fondamentale (art. 32).

Well, here is something that completely explodes the notion that John McCain is 100% pro - life: the guy supports stem cell research!

Now this is not about the issue of embryonic stem cells for research in and of itself, which pro - lifers can debate and perhaps even disagree on in good conscience. (In my opinion those that support it are wrong, but I can at least see room for debate.) This is about how politically motivated and hence morally and spiritually useless these interest groups are, whether conservative or liberal. National Right to Life is giving John McCain a rating that his public statements and record does not deserve simply to maximize turnout. They know that evangelicals are skeptical, so they are giving him a rating that he can use on the campaign trail from the leading (unfortunately) pro - life POLITICAL group in order to get Christians out of their pews and into the polls, because they are hoping that his rating will cause people to ignore his record or not research it.

National Right To Life is yet another group that has exposed itself as being all about winning and getting their guy and their side into office so they can hold onto their power. They are not about life, whether of the innocent unborn in this life or eternal life with Jesus Christ in the next!

Well, needless to say the only thing I accomplished was to freeze the fucking tips off my fingers.  Damn.  No satellite, nothing.

The good news is that I get to soothe the pain of my frost bit fingers, then again after a number of Margarita's I really can't feel the tips of my fingers anymore.  Hey, wait a minute, I think my frost bit finger tip fell into my Margarita.  Well at least it will help keep my drink cold.  Oops not my finger, looks like a piece of the chocolate chip cookie I was eating.   What, you don't dip your chocolate chip cookies into your Margarita?  You don't know what your missing!  Where the fuck was I?

Oh yea, I get to soothe the frost bite pain by viewing  the total eclipse of the moon (last one for 3 years).  That's if we don't shoot down the moon instead of the mysterious satellite US 193.

US 193 ain't that the damn morning after pill?

Okay, back to da moon.

I got my telescope and am going outside to look at the moon.  Usually it's the hot neighbor (just kidding, maybe) but tonight it will be a different moon - a little whiter and brighter.

So what's the deal with this satellite?  Why are we really shooting it down?

1.  Because it has a nuclear power supply

2.  Maybe nuclear powered control rockets

3.  We're simply flexing our anti-ballistic testosterone to the world

4.  We don't want any of the satellite falling into the evil doers hands.

I know this much - we ain't shooting it down because it contains 1,000 pounds of hydrazine.

In 1997 the space shuttle Columbia was destroyed during re-entry one item from the space shuttle that remained intact was the hydrazine tank that was found in Texass, intact but breached - albeit empty since it was pretty much all used up during the mission.

The tank on US 193 if breached when it landed would disperse hydrazine over an area roughly the size of two football fields.  This is highly unlikely.

You see, hydrazine is in a frozen slush form due to the temperatures of space and it's tank is not designed to withstand heat.  My two cents is that upon re-entry the friction of re-entry will heat the tank to somewhere north of 7,000 degrees centigrade (fyi the mean surface temp of the sun is  6,000 centigrade).  Basic principle of physics is that gas expands upon heating....Me thinks the hydrazine tank has no chance of surviving the re-entry phase and will explode.  So that gets me to thinking is it

#1, #2, #3 or #4.  You my friends make the call.

Here's what I think.

I think I win the $270 Million lottery on Friday and on Saturday as I am walking out with my $90 Million lump sum check the fucking US 193 satellite is gonna come out of the sky and smoot me like a bug in front of the fucking lottery headquarters.

A huge state-owned Chinese pharmaceutical company that exports to dozens of countries, including the United States, is at the center of a nationwide drug scandal after nearly 200 Chinese cancer patients were paralyzed or otherwise harmed last summer by contaminated leukemia drugs.

The story points out the the factory under investigation is owned by the same company by the Chinese pharmaceutical supplier which is the only US source for the so called "morning after" pill. The factory that makes the controversial contraceptive was not linked to this investigation, but the Chinese drug manufacturer has had quality control issues in the past.

On at least two occasions in 2002, Shanghai Hualian had shipments of drugs stopped at the United States border, F.D.A. records show. One shipment was an unapproved antibiotic and the other a diuretic that had “false or misleading labeling.” Records also show that another unit of Shanghai Pharmaceutical Group has filed papers declaring its intention to sell at least five active pharmaceutical ingredients to manufacturers for sale in the United States.

With the emphasis on lowering costs of medicine and China's inability to control its exports, it is only a matter of time before US consumer find themselves dependent on an unreliable and unmanageable source for pharmaceuticals. People with serious medical conditions rely on drugs to keep them alive; they cannot afford to be victims of the next "recall."

Since fetuses are thought of as a cancer to be murdered and removed, it is not surprising that cancer patients are similarly disposable, is it?

The drug maker, Shanghai Hualian, is the sole supplier to the United States of the abortion pill, mifepristone, known as RU-486.

China exports death and despair to the United States.  They are the sole supplier.  Why do we trust these Chinks, anyway?  Well they're certainly experts at murder.  Remember Tiananmen Square?

Chinese drug regulators have accused the manufacturer of the tainted drugs of a cover-up and have closed the factory that produced them. In December, China’s Food and Drug Administration said that the Shanghai police had begun a criminal investigation and that two officials, including the head of the plant, had been detained.

For every case where China is caught trying to harm Americans, how many do you suppose never come to light?  It's time to crack down on exports from the Chinese.  Remember those Aquadots toys exported from China tainted with GHB, a date rape drug?  They cannot be trusted.  They are a sneaky bunch who want to destroy us and take our place as the world's superpower.  Don't let it happen.

APPLETON, Wis. - Darshana Patel told authorities she was suspicious as she watched her boyfriend stir a smoothie at an ice cream store. When he offered it to her, she noticed powder on the cup's rim, and the pregnant woman feigned illness and didn't drink it.

According to a criminal complaint, the woman says she sent the powder to a laboratory and it turned out to be mifepristone, the abortion pill also known as RU-486.

The test results came too late: She had already suffered two miscarriages in less than a year.

On Thursday, Manishkumar M. Patel, 34, of Appleton, was accused of slipping the drug to the woman without her knowledge. He was charged with seven felonies and two misdemeanors, including attempted first-degree intentional homicide of an unborn child, stalking, burglary and two counts of violating a restraining order. The nine charges carry a maximum penalty of 99 1/2 years in prison and a $92,000 fine.

Wisconsin is one of 37 states with a "fetal homicide" law, according to the National Conference of State Legislatures. Under the 1998 law, anyone who attacks a pregnant woman and injures or kills her fetus could face life in prison.

"These allegations are devious, diabolical and disturbing," Outagamie County Court Commissioner Brian Figy told Manishkumar Patel at a hearing.

Defense lawyer Thomas Zoesch said he had not had a chance to discuss the case in detail with his client but expects he will plead not guilty. A woman who identified herself Friday morning as the manager of the health clinic where Darshana Patel works said, "She is not talking to anyone today."

Darshana Patel and Manishkumar Patel are not related, and Manishkumar Patel is married to someone else; Patel is a common Indian last name.

The criminal complaint paints a picture of a long-running affair that produced a child, now age 3, but which soured.

The two had known each other since Manishkumar Patel, who holds a legal green card, emigrated to the U.S. from India in 1998, the complaint said. The two began a relationship in 2001 and had a son in 2004.

Darshana Patel said she became pregnant with Manish's child in September 2006 - a child he denied was his - but she miscarried two months later.

She became pregnant with his child again in August 2007, the complaint said, and this time she noticed how attentive Manish became. He even prepared meals for her on occasion.

Then she noticed the powder on the smoothie cup at the store. A short time later, her doctor detected problems in her hormone levels, and she contacted the lab to test the substance in the cup. While waiting for a kit to test the substance, she miscarried. The lab test later confirmed the presence of the abortion pill, the complaint said.

She obtained a restraining order Nov. 13, authorities said.

The complaint said a search of Manishkumar Patel's residence Wednesday found an envelope containing pills labeled as mifepristone, or RU-486. Investigators said they asked him if he knew what kind of pills they were, and he responded, "abortion pills."

He told deputies he got the pills from India, according to the complaint. Access to RU-486 is strictly regulated in the U.S., and it is only administered to women in a doctor's office.

Investigators asked him whether he used the pills to cause the miscarriages and he declined to answer. In a follow-up interview, he admitted giving Darshana "one pill" but did not say when or where, the complaint said.

Patel was ordered held on $750,000 bail after Assistant District Attorney Mark Schroeder said Patel had a net worth of $400,000 and was a flight risk. Patel runs service stations and other businesses.

Investigators had found an airline ticket in Patel's home for a flight scheduled to leave for Germany on Nov. 28, the day after he was arrested, Schroeder said.

With the Federal Election due to be held later this year, we need to think carefully about the candidates we choose to represent us.

Family Life International have made available a list of Federal Parliamentarians who have voted to approve legislation to allow embryonic stem cell research and /or voted in favour of RU-486. The list also includes members of "Emily's List". To be on "Emily's list", a candidate must be "pro-choice"!

Oh, und Angst ist auch am Anschlag. Nix neues, eben.

Halte die Augen weiter auf nach dem 2cm großen Fruchtsack. Bislang kein Befund. Aber auch keine Ahnung, wie man den in dem ganzen Blut erkennen soll.

Vom Fruchtsack allerdings bislang keine Spur - goddammit.

Also niemals vergessen: Schmerzmittel min. 20 Minuten VOR der Einnahme einnehmen, auch wenn der Onkel Doktor sagt "zusammen mit Prostaglandin (=Cyprostol)" einnehmen.

Denke an vorgestern und an das 17-jährige Mädel, das mit seiner Mutter im Aufenthaltsraum saß. Scheinbar muss sich zwischen meinem Freund und der Mutter ein Dialog entsponnen haben der Art "Und dann kann sie jetzt nicht rauchen, und das über Silvester, wo dich alle rauchen" und "Sie denkt doch jetzt schon wieder nur daran, wann sie wieder ficken kann". Meine Güte. Wenn meine Mutter so was über mich in meiner Anwesenheit gesagt hätte, wäre ich wohl ziemlich zornig geworden.

Oha, es wird heftiger. Ich ahne schon, dass das nur unwesentlich heftiger wird als eben die Chose. Aber in 20 Minuten ist das heftigste vorbei....

Hoffe die Kleene hält das gut durch. Ich bin ja immerhin schon bald doppelt so alt.

Bei einem operativen Abbruch bekommt man Teil- oder Vollnarkose und nach dem Eingriff ist es vorbei. Die Einnahme von Mifegyne mit Prostaglandin zieht sich über drei Tage (drei Tage, bei denen man sich zunächst mal zurückziehen können muss von öffentlichen Aufgaben - zumindest den dritten Tag kann man auf keinen Fall an der Arbeit verbringen). Und die Schmerzen sind überwältigend - jedenfalls in meinem Fall. Das schlimmste dauerte für mich zwar nur 20 Minuten, trotzdem zögere ich jetzt sehr die nächsten beiden Tabletten zu nehmen.

Die Blutung hat jetzt definitiv eingesetzt, Stücke der Gebärmutterschleimhaut kommen schon raus. Ich bin mir nicht sicher, ob sie stark genug ist - aber die Aussicht, noch mal durch solche 20 Minuten zu gehen, erscheint furchtbar.

Trotz allem: Ich bereue es nicht, mich für diese Methode entschieden zu haben. Erstens traue ich den Ärzten nicht - ich habe Angst davor, in die Hände eines konservativen idioten zu geraten, der mir das Abgesaugte zum Aufwachen aufs Nachttischchen stellt, oder davor, dass er irgendwelche Organe verletzt. Sicher nur Angstfantasien, aber das Ausgeliefertsein macht den Unterschied.

Hier sehe ich die Ausscheidungen ebenfalls, aber auf andere Form. Menstruiert habe ich ja nun schon über 200 Mal in meinem Leben, auch heftig. Auch wenn das ganze chemisch gestartet wurde, sind es die Mittel des Körpers, die greifen - Kontraktionen der Gebärmutter. Verletzungen können dabei nicht vorkommen.

Ob ich also auch die letzten zwei Tabletten nehme (die man nehmen soll, wenn nach 2-3 Stunden noch nichts passiert ist oder die Blutung schwächer ist als sonst an einem ersten Regeltag), entscheide ich in den nächsten zehn Minuten.

Wie auch immer, ich habe mir den Ultraschall angesehen. Da sind noch keinerlei Strukturen ausgebildet, kein Homunculus erkennbar, keine Herztöne vorhanden, 2cm ist der Fruchtsack in seiner größten Ausdehnung. Wie schon mehrfach erwähnt: Möglicherweise wäre die Schwangerschaft sogar selbst abgegangen (--> Blutspuren). Bis zur 12. Schwangerschaftswoche kann das sogar relativ leicht passieren - darum halten die meisten Paare es auch geheim bis zu dem Zeitpunkt, denn falschen Alarm will keiner geben. 50% aller Schwangerschaften gehen in der 1. bis 4. Woche sowieso ab. Vermutlich waren die meisten von uns schon mal ein bisschen schwanger.
