TÖRTÉNET

A történet a középkori Japánban játszódik amikor is egy Fuu nevû lány véletlenül leönti az egyik vendégét akinek az apja nagy befolyással bír a városban.

Miközben éppen próbálják „megbüntetni” a lányt az elkövetett vétsége miatt, Fuu felfogadja, az alig pár perce érkezett szamurájt, hogy segítsen neki. A szamurájt Mugan-nek hívják (és harcmodorában elég sok szerepet kap a hip-hop stílus :) ) és meg is védi a lányt, csakhogy feltûnik egy másik szamuráj is, akit Jin-nek hívnak és elkezdenek harcolni.

Nem sokkal a harcuk megkezdése után rájuk gyújtják az egész épületet és elfogják õket.

Ezek után Fuu a porrá éget épület mellet megfogadja, hogy felkeresi a „napraforgó illatú szamurájt„ a két szamuráj segítségével, csakhogy ki kell õket szabadítania. Pár próbálkozás után sikerül is kiszabadítania a szamurájokat és így megkezdõdhet a közös kalandjuk, amit persze Mugen és Jin egyáltalán nem szeretne és egymást is inkább megölnék. Az útjuk során rengeteg vicces helyzetbe keverednek, harcokba is lesz részük bõven. De vajon ki lehet az a „napraforgó illatú szamuráj”? És vajon meddig bírják elviselni egymást a szamurájok?

VÉLEMÉNY

A hip-hop nem az én stílusom, de nem is áll olyan távol tőlem XD (ezt jól megaszontam). Amikor töltöttem az animét azon gondolkodtam, hogy vajon, hogy lehet összeegyeztetni a hip-hop-ot a középkori Japánnal... és basszus sikerült :) . Egyszerűen minden percet viccesebbé tesz az, hogy valami nem oda illőt látunk és ez általában szerintem az animék nagy részében így van. Az egész sorozat alatt nem tudtam eldönteni, hogy Mugen-t bírom- e jobban vagy Jin-t, mindegyik másért jó arc. Fuu, meg hát mondjuk úgy hogy kellet a történetbe, hisz kifogná össze a két szamurájt ha nem Ő. Az értékelésem pedig az, hogy egy iszonyatosan jó animét kaptunk, jó történettel és vicces helyzetekkel, amit érdemes egy idő után előszedni és újra megnézni akárcsak a Cowboy Bebop-ot :) .

Végül beszúrom az openinget, csak azért, hogy mindenki tudja mire készüljön. :)

PASADA REUNION

Miguel y sus planes:

Miguel, Raúl (Kamaitachi) y yo nos reunimos en el parque ferial con la intención de afinar detalles de cara a los proximos planes del grupo, como afrontar un proximo ciclo de proyecciones y no volver a quedar mal ante todo el publico interesado en disfrutar un buen día con un sano distinto entretenimiento por problemas ajenos a nuestra voluntad, no volverá a suceder, ya cuadramos como cubrir posibles huecos en nuestros planes futuros, por lo menos de cara a proyecciones...

Miguel propuso unas cosas bastante interesantes como atractivas, una de ellas es comenzar a crear un fondo para la agrupación para cubrir por allí gastos en momentos de eventos que realicemos, y capaz a futuro para los viajes que como agrupación realicemos, el sugiere a Vielka (mi esposa) ya que está estudiando contabilidad (y es muy buena en su area) lleve todas las cuentas referentes al grupo, (todo lo anterior son planes futuros con fecha tentativa para comenzar, osea, no ha comenzado), y por supuesto para alimentar ese fondo tenemos un par de proyectos como grupo cocinando quizas a fuego lento, pero seguro.

Algo que si quizas no alimenta tanto a la agrupación pero si a nosotros como aficionados es ir a visitar la tienda que está en Cúa, que como bien sé y he comentado, está bien nutrida, material desordenado, pero con variedad de titulos a escoger, además de que según nos ha contado Miguel, están trayendo accesorios ya acordamos que esto sería en nuestra proxima reunión de la que comentaré más adelante...

Eventos

Se vino el Avalancha, (Me lo perdí pero Kama fue), y ahora tenemos en nuestra mira el 8vo Encuentro Nacional de Anime y Manga (ENAM), organizado por nuestros buenos amigos de Otakus en Venezuela (Oev) y también el Encuentro Nacional Universitario de Manga y Anime, organizado por la buena de Bonice (Anako) Houchen y su Mundo Sanshoku, Fundación Nacional que  nos brinda gran apoyo.

Enuma

Sobre el Enuma, bueno ya nos estamos organizando sobre el día que vamos a salir, la hora y a comenzar a llenar el cochinito para tener para el viaje, tentativamente, aunque más largo, en Ferry para la isla de Margarita, Kama la tiene dificil, esperemos y pueda ir, pero Miguel, Vielka y yo tenemos mucha confianza, apoyo y disposición, así que pueden dar como un hecho nuestro viaje., posibles futuros integrantes, aún estamos a tiempo para organizarnos e irnos una buena patota para ella en representación del Tuy, este evento serán los días 31 de Octubre, 1 y 2 de Noviembre, estaríamos saliendo de Charallave (según lo planeado hasta el momento) el 30 de Octubre (Jueves) a las 5 que es cuando sale el autobus que nos deja en la estación de Ferrys (¿así se dice?)

Bueno, en el Enuma nuestra amiga Anako se encuentra trabajando duro para dar un evento muy, pero muuuuy distinto a los que hemos visto en el país, entre muchas cosas como 1 taller de comida japonesa dictado por un restaurant de la isla y tour varios por la bella Margarita (la isla claro está)

Enam

El Nacional, uno de los mejores eventos que se hacen en el país (opinión personal) será durante los días 29, 30 y 31 de Agosto, sí, a fines de este mes, será en la ciudad de Maracay nuevamente, Miguel aparentemente no podrá ir, pero Kamaitachi, Vielka y yo tenemos planeados ir el Sabado y quedarnos para ir también el domingo y regresar, el último autobus para Charallave sale a las 6 así que a prepararnos, ya cuadraremos, posiblemente en la proxima reunión, donde nos quedaremos, el evento está plagado de gran variedad de actividades y los clasicos Karaoke y Cosplay, el concurso que más me interesa participar es el rally, en el que a través de diferentes pruebas fisicas daremos a conocer lo que conocemos sobre el mundillo del manganime, así que también planearemos de cara a eso, y si tenemos nuevos miembros entonces capaz y el Tuy no Ichiban tenga varias representaciones.

Pero a lo que nos compete como grupo...

Y es que no podemos quedarnos dormidos, debemos seguir haciendonos conocer, por eso seguiremos de momento con los ciclos de proyecciones, y cual coach de beisbol seguiremos (por pura superstición y sé que hablo es por mi) aplicando la misma formula, por lo menos ahorita en Agosto y luego en Septiembre, colocaremos capitulos varios de ánime, todos con algo de comedia en ellos, la fecha, que debo salir en cualquier momento de esta tarde para que me la confirmen, queremos sea el 23 de Agosto.

¿Por que?

Necesitamos hacer las cosas con algo de tiempo para pegar publicidad y también porque entonces el último fin de semana es el Enam... el precio de la entrada será de  Bs.F. 2, (Decisión tomada por mayoría de votos, si es por mi las hago de gratis, pero los puntos expuestos otorgaban la razón), no diremos las capitulos pero las series serán, Full Metal Panic? Fumoffu, Golden Boy, Sumomo Momomo, Slayers Revolutions y Genshiken 2, a menos que haya un cambio de planes a último minuto, que lo dudo...

LA REUNION...

...será el día 17 de Agosto, iremos a Cúa ese domingo en la mañana a visitar la tienda que antes mencioné, por supuesto algunos haremos compras, y otros no nos volveremos locos gastando porque el proximo fin sería el Enam, (Que caro es el estilo de vida de un Otaku), tiene que ser en la mañana porque la tienda los domingos solo abre mediodia, digo yo que si salimos de Ocumare a las 9 estaremos llegando a buena hora para allá, los que vayan a salir de Ocumare nos encontraremos en el terminal, y los que vayan a estar en Cúa, o los que salgan tarde o más temprano y lleguen a Cúa solos, entonces quedense en Plaza Zamora, y allí pregunten en donde está el Museo Casa de Ezequiel Zamora, está cerca la esa plaza...El museo será el punto de encuentro porque allí trabaja Miguel y desde luego el es uno de los interesados porque necesita saber si los accesorios están a buen precio y que le recomendemos nuevos titulos, es que el pana tiene una suerte barbara para elegir series que no le terminan gustando del todo.

...¿Como nos organizaremos de cara a las proyecciones?

 ...las cuales serían la semana siguiente a la reunión, inevitablemente hablaremos de series y mangas, compartimos opiniones, si tienen revistas, mangas o dvd's entonce lleven y hacemos intercambios, con derecho a devolucion desde luego... también ojearemos y nos deleitaremos con la nueva adquisición de Kamaitachi, el tomo 13 de Death Note, el cual es una edición limitada. y Dejenme hacer una pausa publicitaria antes de continuar...

La amiga Anako, que he nombrado antes, es quien nos consigue los mangas más baratos, son de Editorial Vid y son los únicos en habla hispana que han adquirido los derechos de publicación del tomo 13 de Death Note, el cual es una edición limitada, hay una versión donde solo te venden el tomo 13, el cual tiene cualquier cantidad de datos para terminar de complementar todo lo que envuelve el mundo Death Note y otra versión que aparte del tomo 13 también trae consigo una tarjeta personalizada con el nombre verdadero de "L", y una con tu nombre grabado, además de un poster...

allí además de imagenes está la info del tomo, y todo lo que necesites saber en caso que quieran encargarlo, también hay fotos del primer lote de tomos 13 que le llegaron, aunque también pueden pedir otros mangas, solo ponganse en contacto con ella, hay chance hasta el 13 de Agosto, y ya no saldrán más...

Continuando con el tema, sobre la organizacion en las proyecciones es para dividirnos tareas y poder hacer todo con su debido orden, alguien pendiente del Video Beam y que se coloquen los episodios y los dvd's que se colocarán, otra persona encargada de vigilar la entrada y cobrar a quienes quieran entrar, otra persona acomodando sillas, y cosas por el estilo, creo que los que hablaremos a los asistentes seremos Miguel, Kamaitachi y yo, que somos quienes sabemos lo que proyectaremos, y es que previo al inicio de cada episodio daremos un resumen del argumento de la serie y el capitulo en cuestión en algunos casos, más que todo para que aquellos que ni idea de lo que veremos más o menos tengan una idea de lo que sucede o sucederá en lo que verán, así entenderán un poco más lo que sucede... bueno, eso entre otras cosas, ya las hablaremos...

¿Quienes van al Enam?

Me parece que es otro tema importante si queremos ir, por lo menos y como dije antes Kama, Vielka iremos Sabado y Domingo, claro, nos quedaremos en Maracay el Sabado para ir el Domingo nuevamente al evento, entonces la idea es esa, ponernos de acuerdo para saber quienes más van y así, si nos toca quedarnos en hotel tratariamos de dividirnos gastos para que la cosa no sea tan cara y de igual manera nos hacemos una mega-vaca para comprar comida y ahorrar lo más que se pueda, porque como yo, imagino que todo el que va también piensa hacer unas compras, esta vez pretendo es comprar accesorios en lugar de ánime, claro, que si veo alguna serie que me llame muchisimo la atención, la compraré, más que todo quiero seguir conociendo el universo Gundam, es el unico titulo que de momento se me ocurre, ah! y Trigun, o Ninja Boy Rantaro y Cyborg 009 que me ha costado un mundo encontrar...

Por supuesto, aparte de los menesteres tipicos de los otakus, tendríamos que cuadrar bien lo que es la salidad hacia y de Maracay, repito, repito, el último autobus a Charallave sale a las 6, pero tampoco es que vamos a esperar al ultimo instante... aunque quien sabe porque como dije varias lineas atrás, hay unas actividades en las que me gustaría participar

Bueno, creo que el resto de los temas a tratar saldrán a flote durante la reunión, más que todos planes sobre el proximo plan como grupo además de si es posible, ir adelantando lo que haremos en Septiembre en materia de proyecciones, donde aprovechando la temporada de clases lanzaremos una temática colegial, ya hay varios titulos tentativos para esas proyecciones, entre los que figuran de momento otro episodio de Full Metal Panic? Fumoffu, Samurai Champloo, y High School Girls, son solo titulos tentativos, ya veremos, ya veremos... igual si es temprano y hay animos en el ambiente terminamos la reunion en Ocumare, (El museo lo cierran a las 3 aprox, quizas un poco antes)

Otra cosilla que quizas hablemos, ya veremos, es la posibilidad de reunirnos con otro grupo, quizas los del Kieta Miyako, quizas los del Ragnarok, capaz y sean los dos, más adelante veremos, pero la cuestión no será solo salir y echar vaina.. bueno, principalmente será eso, pero hay otros temas de importancia a tratar sobre la solución de problemas en el Fandom venezolano, este último tema puede que no se trate todavía hasta tener algo más concreto...

Bueno, eso es solo parte de lo que hablaremos, seguramente me esté saltando algunos puntos que Miguel y Kamaitachi quieran tocar, protnot publicaremos la info oficial de las proyecciones...

Ich hatte die CD von Ikue Asazaki "auserwählt". Ikue Asazaki (朝崎郁恵) ist 1935 in in Kedomi, Setouchi-Cho / Amami Oshima, Japan, geboren. Sie singt traditionelle Lieder von Amani und Okinawa und viele von euch werden sie kennen aus dem Anime "Samurai Champloo - サムライチャンプルー ". Das Lied, "Obokuri eeumi - おぼくり~ええうみ" wird in Folge 14 gespielt, in der Mugen Gefahr läuft im Meer zu ertrinken. Auf dem OST ist dieses Lied leider nicht zu finden, sondern nur auf der CD "Utabautayun うたばうたゆん".

Es ist ein sehr schönes, aber nachdenkliches Lied und es begleitete mich, dank Repeat-Taste, sehr lange diesen Morgen...

Today I finally finished watching the Samurai Champloo series. It seems that people are out to get those who worked on Cowboy Beebop seeing as both shows only lasted twenty-six episodes even though they were wicked. The flying squirrel is the bitchenist character. That fluffy bastard could put you away if he wanted to.

I'm putting up a rough turnaround of my comic's characters probably tomorrow after work.

I love sitting here listening to the music from champloo. Not only is it amazing music, but it just makes me think of such fond things: summer, Japan, champloo, other emotions associated with anime. Harriet keeps mentioning every so often the idea of moving to Japan to be a doctor. I keep saying "yeah, that'd be sweet," but just the other day I realized how much I absolutely adore that idea. I think the only thing stopping me from jumping up and parading around that she'd actually want to move to Japan is the fact I'm just a bit scared of committing to the idea. Let's face it: I DONT KNOW THE LANGUAGE! But once I get a year or two of Japanese under my belt... I get the grand feeling I'll be calling her down in New Orleans saying, "Hey, we're going to Japan. We must."

Japan is such an amazing country. So full of contrast. There's your ultimate beauty in the countryside and also within the magnificent cities; but there's also evil lurking in the streets and around every corner. If you want it, you can find it in Japan. Every emotional and physical need can be met in some way. Harriet first thought I was a bit strange for loving Japan so much... but rather quickly she discovered why I enjoy it so much.

Fuck I'm tired. I'll go watch some anime.

It has one of the longest track list in the Samurai Champloo soundtrack series and includes 8 tracks from the producer of the well known opening 'Battlecry', Nujabes. 

Heavy percussion and bass is mandatory in each track, along with repeating melody lines, matching with the mood of the show itself.  Again, there is no need to like or watch the show to enjoy this soundtrack, because I personally didn't watch it all that much either.  Sites such as 'YouTube'(r) and 'Google Video'(r) have the majority of these songs posted.  Give them a listen before you buy this soundtrack.  It might not be your cup of tea after all.

Good Musicianship.  It's the style, but sometimes, I think it repeats one too many times.

9/10 overall, personally.

Si deseas quitarte la vida, más valdría que te tiraras en la parte más al centro del puente, ahí solo lograras golpearte, pero no volarás fuera de nuestras realidades-dijo el samurái con las manos sujetas a los anchos de su sombrero de paja, que retenía las gotas claras del cielo.
Acaso luzco tan triste?-dijo la dama tomando con mayor fuerza aun su paraguas, haciendo el máximo de los esfuerzos para que no surgieran en ese momento las lágrimas de su tristeza. Solo admiro el lago-insistió con una sonrisa mientras alisaba sus cabellos y pasaba sus sensibles dedos sobre la seda de su kimono.

Y como llegó se fue, entre la marcha de las gotas cayendo sobre los suelos, con las sandalias mojadas y los cristales de aquellos raros anteojos llenos de humedad y de penumbra, con las manos sobre las katanas. No olvidó aquella vida que sin querer destinó a seguir entre los umbrales de la vida, pero ocultó su recuerdo muy en el fondo, en el sepulcro de su pasado, en el recipiente de la sangre que ha cobrado.
Era su primer día de empleo, empleo de matón, que resultó ser de restaurantero, en un puesto ambulante de anguilas.

Solo, frente la plancha, con el matamoscas sembrado en el distintivo que le diera su fama y sus maldiciones, esperando a que el cielo terminara de caer sobre la tierra en amenazante forma de presagio de su apocalipsis, cuando le vio de nuevo.

Entonces eres cocinero?-le dijo a penas lo vio ataviado con el mandil sobre sus ropas azules y negras, con las katanas reposando sobre las paredes del establecimiento y con los utensilios de cocina en las manos.
No-respondió. Soy samurái, pero ahora trabajo de cocinero.
Como bendición se lleno el lugar y su incompetencia ante todo, disfrazo el hecho de que ella fuera quien sacará el negocio muy a pesar de que solo buscaba un pequeño aperitivo.

No era de noche cuando el puente, ni cuando las anguilas ardieron sobre la plancha, pero lo era cuando otra vez fue el vacio y ella rompió de tajo el silencio.
Supongo que esta será la última noche de mi libertad y me dio gusto pasarla contigo.
A que te refieres?-preguntó el mientras dejaba fuera de si el disfraz de lo que no era y colocaba la extensión de su brazo sobre su costado.
Esta noche ingreso a un burdel. Mi esposo cayó en bancarrota y tuvo que venderme para salir de sus deudas. No hay salida y mi destino será vender mi amor por los dos-replico mientras su sombra se pintaba sobre la acera, mientras el crujir de la madera volvía hacer efecto sobre la atmósfera y sus pasos se hacían livianos, tanto como para percatarse que la vida se va segundo a segundo de las manos.

Solo quedo sobre la banca desteñida su paraguas, esperando el imposible hecho del regreso.

Mientras, a lo lejos, en lo más profundo de los tugurios, una mujer virgen vende caro su sexo y sus caricias vacías, aunque nunca se entere del precio ni del animal que trepanó su cuerpo; y claro, nunca dejo de ser virgen. Recargada sobre los barrotes cual bestia exótica puesta a la vista y a la venta, con los pechos al aire y los pezones viendo al cielo.

Olvidaste tu paraguas-dijo empapado de pesares, embriagado del amor sincero, con la plena conciencia que frente de el estaba la persona que capturó sus sentimientos, un ángel, que por instantes le parecía caído y por otros, simplemente saliendo del horrible destino del infierno.
Gracias, pero aquí no me hará falta. Puede caerse el cielo, incluso llover flechas bañadas de fuego y yo no saldré de aquí jamás. No me busques más, permite que trabaje y olvide un poco mi destino.

No es necesario-dijo el mientras apartaba de su tacto aquel fantasma femenino.
Pagaste demasiado-replicó mientras sus ropas quedaban en el pasado y su entero cuerpo teñido del color del arroz frito desfilaba frente sus ojos, que se negaban a adquirir el servicio que consiguieron y que, en respuesta, cerraban su instancia para que ella bien pudiera observar su belleza en el reflejo de los lentes.

Pero era la compañía, las ganas de amarse a media noche, bajo los rayos de la luna, bañados en la lluvia de sus cuerpos; justo eso era lo que los lanzó a disfrutar de ser humanos, a buscar en un rincón de su sexo el sentimiento que lo vuelve de vano placer en una experiencia de paraíso.
Huyamos-dijo el mientras besaba su espalda, con ambos frente al espejo, en la consumación de sus fuerzas.
Soy una mujer casada y debo a mi esposo el deber de estar con el hasta que decida divorciarnos.

Nada quedo de aquella promesa, una balsa sobre aquel lago que muerte tenia destinada del primer día se volvió una vía de escape a la purificación. Un charco de sangre, muchas vidas robadas, una katana sucia de la indignidad de la sangre derramada, un amante a las orillas del lago y ella con dirección al recuerdo.

Gracias Jin-dijo ella por últimas palabras, mientras se volvía bruma entre las aguas, la noche y el olor a tierra mojada y sangre que siempre me ha fascinado.

Mugen is a fierce animal-like warrior with a unique Bboying (break-dance) inspired fighting style. Jin has a more traditional style but don’t think of this as a weakness because his skills are amazing. The two contrasting samurai warriors are far from friends, yet their separate paths seem to cross anyways. Mugen is wandering aimlessly through the city when he stumbles upon a teahouse where he meets Jin and Fuu (A ditzy waitress, but don‘t think she doesn‘t have anything hidden up her sleeves). Fuu convinces them both to come with her in search of a mysterious samurai that smells like sunflowers and their journey begins.

Even their last album - The Mix Up - is my most favourite one, of course with some singles from their previous albums. But as a whole - this one is the best to me!

These guys are simply great and I have to put them here to my music articles serie.

Meet Fuu, an orphan girl who work at the tea shop. She is trying to collect money for a journey to find samurai who smell like sun flower.

Summary, they are not friends, they just happen to be on the same trip. Mugen and Jin are forced to accompany Fuu in her way looking for samurai who smell like sun flower.

Along their way, they meet crazy people and it makes the humor into the story.

However the manga and anime version are quite different. While, they are only release 2 volume of the manga, the anime has ended in 26th episode.

It's tough to post a blog about Japanese animation and not look like an unemployed dweeb living in a basement apartment in the suburbs somewhere.  While we can assure you that, yes, we are fully functional adults (Rafy owns his own house!), we sometimes take pleasure in an anime or two.  I just finished watching a series that, despite it's possible negative affect on my love life, I feel the need to blog about.  

The series that I am willing to risk my Fonzie-esque reputation on is Samurai Champloo.  It's a 26 episode series from Shinichiro Watanabe (Cowboy Bebop, The Animatrix.)  While I want to entice even the most anti-anime amongst you to check this series out, I'm not going to bore you with a plot synopsis.  The plot isn't really anything special.  The animation is fluid, colorful and engaging, but that's not what really separates this anime from others. You know what makes Samurai Champloo great?

The artful blend of historical Edo era Japan and modern American Hip-Hop culture.  

Beat boxing, graffiti and some incredible break dance-infused fight scenes make this anime something truly and uniquely worthwhile.  Don't think that Watanabe leaned on hip-hop as a gimmick to sell a lackluster show though!  The characters are well developed and, for the most part, devoid of the clichés that plague this genre. The overall plot (the search for "The samurai that smells like sunflowers") is a little loosely thrown together, but each episode sparks an intriguing sub-plot that quickly draw the viewer in. 

Samurai Champloo is, all in all, a kick ass anime.  The masterfully balanced infusion of hip-hop into feudal Japan is tough to accurately describe however, so I'll leave this as Lavar Burton did on Reading Rainbow, "But you don't have to take my word for it!"

Random loot recently obtained; Samurai Champloo's IMPRESSION and Negipa (Negima party book) vol. 13. Let's take a closer look:

I was at a con sunday last week (Ichiban - Japan Expo 2008), mostly due to some of my classmates being involved in either arranging the con itself or part of activities that were held, and tried to pick something cool from the dealers. I didn't bring much money with me so I didn't really want to pick one of those multi-cd soundtracks, so I settled with something simple. Now, I haven't watched Samurai Champloo (I get the feeling that I maybe should) but I love to buy things that seems nice and hope for the best for some weird reason.

Anyway, on to the cd itself~! /o/

There's 23 tracks, all (with a few exceptions) sharing the same kind of style...um...I'm horrible bad with genres....what do you call this again? Drum and bass?
There's two vocal tracks in there too, one being some kind of rap-thingy. I'm not much for that genre but It's alright I guess. Even though most tracks felt more or less the same at first, they are pretty variated and some of them quite relaxing. It's like one of those CD's you put on when you're doing something else. Like most other soundtracks, there's both good and bad tracks, and of course those somewhere in between. Thankfully, the amount of good or in-between tracks outnumber the bad ones.

To sum things up, it's a cd containing a kind of music I usually enjoy when blended with other genres and it can get a little too one-sided at times however, it does offer enough variety and some quite nice laid-back tracks to still be enjoyable, maybe especially if you happen to enjoy the genre.

Negipa 13

Anyway, yet another unplanned buy-in, gawd I love to make those <3

While strolling around in Stockholm (lulz, I can't find my way very well around there, even though I just live 20 minutes away by train OTL) with a friend (the same one that helped me with delicious loot in the past) we came across this Japanese store, Sun Ai. I've been there once before, bought a pen for calligraphy (but my writing cannot be unseen :< ) and randomly picked up 妹は思春期 (Imouto ha shishunki = My sister has reached puberty), the most perverted non H 4-koma I've ever read o_o;; Oh and it's actually quite fun by the way...
*coughs*
Anyways, I knew Sun Ai used to have normal Negima books but I didn't expect to see two volumes of Negipa on the shelf, which is the reason I got it; just to have one....

It's about 49-50 pages but it's manga-sized so it still comes of as kinda small and thin. Aside from the sticker which is the same image as the cover, there's a double sided fold-out, one side featuring the cover-art from Negima 18 (Del-rey's translation comes in June OTL ) and the other side is this one.

Then there's a few more color illustrations, one being the cover from book 10. Actually, this little book's full of color but most things are colored images & frames from the manga. Aside from images there's the expected character information and one of Mana's pages feeds us a bit info about the guns she has been using so far (the FN P90 and dual Desert Eagles for example) while we get to see 3 of the chinese martial art-moves that Kei-Fu has teached Negi. There's also interviews with Ken Akamatsu himself as well as the seiyuus for Mana, Ku-Fei & Zazie (the girls on the cover, every Negipa features a group of characters).

There's more, including a "Negi x Negi Kitchen"-corner that teaches you how to make　"chili-cury shrimps" as well as the C-vitamin loaded "peppar-mango"-drink which I suppose is one of those weird beverages that Yue always gets her hands on. And there's more....but I'm not sure what everything is...o_o;

It's clearly a loaded little book, loaded to the point where it becomes a little confusing actually.
However, even though it's got lots of stuff, it doesn't mean everything is relevant to ones interests (and even less if you can't read everything hurr hurr hurr OTL) not to mention it was kinda overpriced over at Sun Ai, going for about the double of it's original price...which maybe is a bit too much for what you're getting (at least when thinking in Swedish economics, 500 yen = roughly 30 sek...which is about about 5 usd). However, as I happen like many of the characters in Negima!, as well as Ken Akamatsu's artwork, not to mention I've never been much of a fan reading book-like texts on a computer, don't be too surprised if I buy one more some other time. Of course, it all depends on which characters that are featured.

Last but not least, here's an oekaki of Kamina I did last night. (ignore his right hand, plz ok? T_T)

I haven't been able to draw something decent recently but this was a good way to spend time and at least feel sort of creative. :D

...Guess who needs to go & cook potatoes now~~? /o/
