<p>Generate full-featured Web galleries to showcase images, video and audio online. Add captions and long descriptions. Shozam Web Gallery Generator is fast and easy to use. Shozam Express Edition comes with a Personal Use license. A software tool, not a Web service, Shozam galleries are "portable" among PCs, Web hosts and social networks. This flexibility provides offline -- and online -- immediacy and impact.</p>
<p>Galleries, complete with slideshow and background music, can be created and updated offline, moved easily from Web host to Web host, or even burned to CD and shared with friends and family on the spot. To extend online presence on photo-blogs and social networks, Shozam widgets extend gallery reach to other Web sites and social networks, and provide an eye-catching, sticky method for grabbing attention.</p>
<p>Users can get their own high-end results at a fraction of the time and cost of using Web design services. Galleries with thousands of images can be generated in minutes, not months. Gallery themes feature a Flash animated intro and standard static HTML code.</p>

<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>All right. it's been a few months since I originally posted looking for others' experiences with using Panoramio  to post pictures on Google Earth and and the response has been a resounding ... silence.  Read but not commented on. </p>
<p>Since then, I've <a href="http://www.panoramio.com/user/1249959">posted</a> 31 pictures taken mostly in the US, Canada and China.  Most have been accepted and are viewable on Google Earth.</p>
<p>Their policy regarding pictures suitable for Google Earth seems to be mainly (1) do not be offensive and (2) do not risk legal problems regarding rights (model/building/artwork releases) and (3) use it to show visitors the location, not to show off your "art."   Some of my submittals were chosen to test rule 2 and I have to say I don't necessarily agree with a couple they refused but I see their logic and and can't fault their consistency.</p>
<p>Web traffic to my site?  No noticeable impact.  Comments?  None on content.</p>
<p>There are a lot of good photos on Panoramio and you can search for areas or authors, even use it to share your travel photos in a free web gallery.  (Photos rejected for use on Earth are still available for viewing at Panoramio).</p>
<p>Check it out.</p>

<a href="http://www.airtightinteractive.com/photos/" target="_blank">Demo</a> &#124; <a href="http://www.airtightinteractive.com/simpleviewer/simpleviewer.zip" target="_blank">Download</a></p>
<p><strong>AutoViewer</strong><br />
<a href="http://www.airtightinteractive.com/projects/autoviewer/app/" target="_blank">Demo</a> &#124; <a href="http://www.airtightinteractive.com/projects/autoviewer/autoviewer.zip" target="_blank">Download</a></p>
<p><strong>PostCardViewer</strong><br />
<a href="http://www.airtightinteractive.com/projects/postcardviewer/app/" target="_blank">Demo</a> &#124; <a href="http://www.airtightinteractive.com/projects/postcardviewer/postcardviewer.zip" target="_blank">Download</a></p>
<p><strong>TiltViewer</strong><br />
L'apoteosi assoluta.
<a href="http://www.airtightinteractive.com/projects/tiltviewer/app/" target="_blank">Demo</a> &#124; <a href="http://www.airtightinteractive.com/projects/tiltviewer/tiltviewer.zip" target="_blank">Download</a></p>
<p><a href="http://www.airtightinteractive.com/projects/tiltviewer/tiltviewer.zip" target="_blank"></a><br />

<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Aperture is one of the better solutions for a RAW workflow with a few nice add-ons. The ability to make nice looking web-galleries and web-journals is one of them. But including the galleries into a website is not something easily done unless you know some HTML coding. With iWeb, Aperture and a little help from a program called iWeb Enhancer I easily made a quite nice looking web-site.</p>
<p>Short about myself. My name is Gunnar Blöndal and I'm a photojournalist based in Oslo, Norway. I work for the Newspaper Dagens Næringsliv, in English called "the Norwegian Business Daily". I have close to 20 years of experience shooting for newspapers and started using Adobe Photoshop back in 2.5.1. In 2001 I dropped film for digital and have been missing a program like Aperture ever since.</p>
<p>But back to making a web-site with Aperture and iWeb. I have since Apertures release wondered why not Apple just easily included Apertures web-galleries and web-journals into iWeb. It's really not that hard as you'll find out if you read on.</p>
<p>There are several ways about this, but I'll only explain it my way. This is not a detailed touturial. You will need to know your way around the different applications we are about to use.<br />
We'll use a webfeature called iframe that is not supported by iWeb. But with the help of iWeb Enhancer simple magic happens.</p>
<p>Here is the shopping list:</p>
<p>Aperture<br />
iWeb<br />
iWeb Enhancer - shareware - licence 12.95 US$ - download here: http://web.mac.com/cbrantly/iWeb/Software/iWeb%20Enhancer.html<br />
OniGraffle - optional - bundled with most Mac OS systems<br />
Art Directors Toolkit - optional - bundled with most Mac OS systems<br />
Somewhere on the web to publish your site. The easiest is a .mac account, but any provider will do. In this explanation however I'll be referring to publishing on a .mac account.</p>
<p>ToDo list:<br />
 - SORT OUT - your pictures and create web galleries or journals.<br />
 - OVERVIEW - draw a site map over your site. Use OmniGraffle or simply pen and paper.<br />
 - DESIGN - create your site in iWeb<br />
 - PUBLISH</p>
<p>There are a few more todos under each main todo. Let's start:</p>
<p>SORT OUT</p>
<p>First in Aperture you need to sort out your pictures and decide what you want on your site.<br />
Here is how I have done it.</p>
<p><img src="http://web.mac.com/blondal/iWeb/gunnarblondal/Images/Bilde%201-1.png" alt="" /></p>
<p>In Aperture I made a folder called "Web site". Then two subfolders called "Published" and "Under construction". While working with the galleries they are all under the "Under construction" folder. When I'm done sorting them out and have published them I move them to the "Published" folder.<br />
It really does not matter if you use web galleries, smart web galleries or web journals as long as you pay attention to the width of the gallery.<br />
My site is 900 pixels wide and about 750 pixels high. The iframe we'll make later is 900 x 650 pixels.<br />
All my galleries are made with the black stock theme in Aperture</p>
<p>Play around with both web galleries and web journals. Publish them to your .mac account or to a folder on your computer or a disk. Evaluate the galleries in a web browser and check the width. For this use Art Directors Toolkit and use the ruler. Make sure you have selected pixels as your unit. The ruler will help you to check the height and width of your galleries.</p>
<p><img src="http://web.mac.com/blondal/iWeb/gunnarblondal/Images/Bilde%203_600px.jpg" alt="" /></p>
<p>OVERVIEW</p>
<p>It's very helpfull to make an overview of the site you want to make. For this I use Omnigraffle (bundeld with most new Macs)<br />
(you can also do this with pen and paper. The main thing is to lay a plan and get an overview.)<br />
Here is my simple layout: </p>
<p><img src="http://web.mac.com/blondal/iWeb/gunnarblondal/Images/Bilde%202.png" alt="" /></p>
<p>The top section are pages I make in iWeb. The bottom section is galleries made in Aperture. The galleries are combined with six pages made in iWeb. The Home page and six pages linked from the Pictures page.<br />
On the "Home"page I have made a smart web gallery called "lastin" that will feature my latest pictures. This is a gallery I'll change often so that visitors to my site will see my latest work.</p>
<p>The "Blog" is just an iWeb blog</p>
<p>The "Pictures" page has links to the pages with the Aperture web galleries.</p>
<p>The "Contact" page is contains info about me and how to get in touch with me.</p>
<p>DESIGN</p>
<p>On my site I have decided to drop the automatically made navigation menu that iWeb makes. If you want to save yourself some hassle - keep it. I suggest you make a top banner either with text as I have done or a graphical design.<br />
For the pages where you want your Aperture galleries to appear use the Empty iWeb default page. Design the top of the page as you want it. It's a good idea to make template pages so you don't have to recreate all pages that you need for your site.</p>
<p><img src="http://web.mac.com/blondal/iWeb/gunnarblondal/Images/Bilde%206.png" alt="" /></p>
<p>Now for the magic of iWeb Enhancer. On your template page create a rounded rectangle where you want your Aperture gallery to appear. Resize it as you want it, but make sure that it will fit your Aperture gallery. Think of iframe simply as a hole in<br />
a webpage filled with a HTML code or webpage from a different location. This is why your Aperture gallery must not exceed in width and height the rounded rectangle you make in iWeb. </p>
<p><img src="http://web.mac.com/blondal/iWeb/gunnarblondal/Blog/F93300E7-57B7-473C-B963-9B81545C62B1_files/Bilde%205_600px.png" alt="" /></p>
<p>Double-click inside the rounded rectangle and write the following code:</p>
<p><!--BeginHTMLData-->your_user_name/aperture gallery_name</em>/" width="<em>900</em>" height="<em>650</em>" scrolling="no" border="0" style="border:none;" frameborder="0"&#62;</iframe> </p>
<p>The words in inverse you will need to change to suit your .mac account username and gallery name. (Or replace the whole http link with the link to your gallery if you publish to a different server.)</p>
<p>After you have made all your pages and made sure that your links are correct - publish.</p>
<p>Sync your iDisk. When that is done, run iWeb Enhancer. You will be asked to find your site containing the pages you want to iWeb Enhance.<br />
The path for a iWeb site on your iDisk is: iDisk/Web/Sites/iWeb/your_site_name/</p>
<p>iWeb Enhancer will run and when finished click OK. Then sync your iDisk again.<br />
Now you can try your new site in a web browser. For a .mac account the link should be:</p>
<p>http://web.mac.com/your_username/iWeb/site_name/ </p>
<p>If you did everything right you should get something like this:</p>
<p><img src="http://web.mac.com/blondal/iWeb/gunnarblondal/Images/Bilde%209_600px-1.jpg" alt="" /></p>
<p>The link to my site is: www.gunnarblondal.com</p>
