To have a poll, first sign up for an account.
Creating a poll is very easy.
First write your poll question.
Then you are asked to enter the answers in multiple fields. Just use as many "Answer" fields as you need.

You can set the poll to randomize answers, to allow poll takers to choose multiple answers or write their own answers.

You can choose a language for the poll. If your language is not listed, just ask them and they say they will add it to the list! Well, now they are really talking my language!

Now you are all set to set a style for your poll. . Choose an available theme or if you know CSS, then roll up your sleeves and create your own theme!

After you are done creating a poll, they will give you the poll code. Choose the code for wordpress.com. Paste the code in a post/post in your blog and the poll will appear there! I like Polldaddy a lot. But um..

Problems
I have some grievances.

1. If I set the poll to allow users to write comments, then the user is taken to a separate Polldaddy page where they can write a comment.

2. The poll can be created to let the readers enter an answer on their own. The problem is, when the "Results" button is clicked, the actual answers are not seen in "Other", it just shows the result bar.

3. Another thing is, you can't paste the poll in the side bar of your wordpress.com blog.

4. Some polling services allow the poll creator to use images in answers. You can't do that at Polldaddy.

Solutions (but not all)
1. There's no way to overcome the first problem. No, wait! Maybe there is! Don't set the poll to allow users to post comments at all. Instead, urge people to write comments in your post. That way you keep the readers in your blog.

2. I don't know how to get over this problem. Any idea?

3. About the second problem, well, why not link to your poll in your side bar using some text or some image? :D

4. I have no idea how to bypass this problem, other than to use a different service from the list found in the link under this post.

Important Update

It is now possible to embed a workable poll in the sidebar of a wordpress.com blog. So I have one less grievance about Polldaddy! :D
This is such a good news indeed! I know that many users of wordpress.com almost left the platform because they couldn't embed a workable poll right in their blogs. Now we have it all! Wordpress rocks!

A friendly suggestion

If comments about a poll are important to you, then I suggest that you embed the poll in a post or page and not in the sidebar. Provide a link to your poll post in your sidebar. That way, your poll will get full exposure in your blog at all time.
If you think that polls really belong to the side bar, rather than in a page or post, then you might want to put a text link under the poll, which will lead the reader to a post where they can write their opinions to encourage discussions.

It is possible to bypass the problem provided you have Firefox. If you don't yet have it, go ahead and download it! Wordpress works best with Firefox.

Install the Firefox extension Scribefire. It's an inconspicuous yet powerful blog editor that integrates with Firefox smoothly.
What Scribefire is capable of doing is beyond the scope of this post. Here we will learn how we can easily create a tags list to look up to and put under a new post, to prevent accidental omissions, spelling mistakes, different phrasings etc. Install ScribeFire Now.

Before we do this Tags List thing, do the following:
Analyze your blog carefully. What do you REALLY write about? If you are a focussed blogger, chances are you just have a handful of topics you concentrate on; Your basic interest areas will serve as important starting points. For example, I blog mainly wordpress help, blogging tips, web tools and interesting media.

After you are done identifying your main subjects, your next job is to identify what a specific post where you want to put tags is all about. For example, this post is about "Wordpress help".

Your next job is to pick some tags that further define your post. For me, some keywords that define this post could be "Blogging Help", "Scribefire". "Tags list". "How-to", and "Tips and tricks" .

You have just three seconds left to perform the above tasks. 3....2.......2 and half.......

Okay, fine, let's not hurry. Let's take our time and do this patiently. Once we get it done, we can reuse the Tags List again and again. So, don't hurry. It's worth your time! :D

Now that you are mentally prepared to do the job, click the Scribefire icon on the bottom of your Firefox.
Now follow these step-by-instructions:

1. Create a new note.
Write your basic interest areas - one interest area per line. Now make them "bold".

2. Under a specific interest area, write down all the keywords you are likely to enter in posts of that subject. These keywords will serve as tags in future.

When you are done, give your note a proper name (something like "Tags List" maybe) and save it. Minimize your "Scribefire" window.

Writing your main topic areas in bold letters will help you look for tags for a specific area easily.

Now, when you are done writing a post, click your "Scribefire" again and open the note "Tags List". What's the main topic of your post? Glance at the tags listed under that topic. Simply copy the tags, minimize your "Scribefire" window, and paste the tags in the "Tags" field under the post. If you feel that one or two tags don't quite belong to the post, just select and delete them.

As you keep on blogging, your tags will increase. Don't forget to update your "Tags List" whenever you use a new tag for a topic. Constantly updating you "Tags List" will help you use relevant tags for a post at all times without error.

Servizio di condivisione online di qualsiasi file multimediale che si differenzia per il fatto che i video restano privati. Niente viene caricato online. Con SeeToo, basta scegliere il proprio video ed invitare un contatto a visionarlo in contemporanea, magari commentandolo in diretta attraverso la chat. Gratuito.

Yugma Skype
Per chi usa Skype, ecco un ottimo plugin per la condivisione del proprio schermo. Semplice da usare, basta invitare i propri contatti (la versione "Free" li limita a 10) e cliccare sul pulsante per avviare la conversazione in screensharing. La versione "Premium" offre in più un servizio di file-sharing, di scheduling e di gestione degli inviti, di sessioni di registrazione e supporta fino a 500 utenti. E' un applicazione web, funzionante direttamente dal proprio browser, che funge da task manager online, utile per ricordare gli appuntamenti della giornata, meeting, note, date importanti. Il tutto con una grafica davvero piacevole. Gratuito.

PikiWiki
Software gratuito che permette di utilizzare qualsiasi browser come se fosse un foglio bianco da riempire come si vuole. Si possono caricare immagini, video, file mp3, documenti pdf, file di testo o semplicemente scrivere ciò che vogliamo. Naturalmente possiamo invitare i nostri amici o colleghi che possono visualizzare e/o modificare la nostra pagina web. Non è richiesta nessuna registrazione.

kwout | A brilliant way to quote via kwout

You can choose the size of the screenshot. Choose a size and select the portion that you want to turn into an image. Pretty soon they will offer you the image url.

There are three ways to use Kwout. You can install the Firefox Add-on or install the bookmarlet that will open Kwout in the same window or another bookmarklet that will open it in an new window.

I have installed the Firefox add-on. It lets me select the portion of the webpage I want and use a slider to proportionately resize the image. Cool!

The bookmarklet is available for Internet Explorer and Firefox.

Well if you are still the same fun and creative person (I know you are!), then this must be your lucky day. I present you colorhunter.

Colorhunter creates colour palettes based on an online image that you choose or an image that you upload. You can also enter a preferred hex code or a tag and see what colorhunter makes out of it!

I entered the tag Face and was very pleased with the results!

So how does colorhunter do it? Well, I dug into the FAQ and I found some interesting things.

How do I find color palettes on Color Hunter?
To find color palettes on Color Hunter, enter a search term in the box at the top of the page. You can search by tag or hex color code or image URL. If you have an image, you can upload it and get a color palette based on the colors in the image.

Where do the images on Color Hunter come from?
When you search for color palettes by tag, ColorHunter.com searches Flickr.com via Flickr's API for images labeled with the tag you entered. The thumbnails of the Flickr images are used to create a color palette. ColorHunter.com uses the Flickr API but is not endorsed or certified by Flickr.

How do I add a color palette to my favorites?
To add a color palette to your favorites, first create an acount and then click on the 'add to favorites' link next to the palettes your like.

And last but not the least, because I like this tool soooooo much, I wanted to figure out how I can create a color palette based on an online image without having to go over to colorhunter over and over again. And because I love all my readers even more, I am going to share the secret with you all. But under one condition, do make a comment and say how you like the method. Step by Step Tutorial

1. Click the above link and copy the whole code.
2. Open a new Notepad file and paste the code.
3. Save the Notepad file as ColorPaletteGenerator.html . Just write ColorPaletteGenerator.html in the "Save" dialogue box and the html file will be created.
4. Now open the html file ColorPaletteGenerator in Firefox.
   You will see the hyperlinked words Generate Color Palette in the window.
5. Place the cursor over the link; drag and drop the link in the Bookmarks Toolbar of your Firefox. Your new bookmarklet will be created.

Now every time you want to create a color palette based on an online image, open the sourcepage of the image. (An image url always ends with .jpg, .gif etc. and the page contains nothing but the image). Then simply click your new bookmarklet (it says "Generate Color Palette)

In order to have a customizable Tag Cloud, your first job is to complete all the first ten steps as explained in my previous post.

Now while you are still in MS Word customize the hierarchy and or colour of the tags as you please.

Here are some examples. Feel free to feel inspired by these or think up something on your own! I haven't explored with different fonts. You might try different fonts if you like. But it is not advisable to change the font size, if you want to retain the relationship among the tags. Also you might want to edit out some tags if you are looking for a concise look and create a Top Tgas/Top Categories page instead!

:idea: The default Tag Cloud widget does not allow you to customize the tags in any way. If you want to customize the look of your Tag Cloud in the side bar, simply paste the Tag Cloud created in the process mentioned in this post and paste the code in a text widget. Don't forget to save changes! :D

PicLens ，它是一個網路圖片用的瀏覽程式，這是瀏覽圖片的 plug-in，

它支援的瀏覽器有 IE，Firefox，Flock 和 Safari 。

它的顯示方式就好像一面牆壁一樣，所有的圖片就投影在那上面，

你可以用滑鼠左右的拉動它來瀏覽圖片，快的速度會讓你頭暈呢!

或者是滾動你的滑鼠滾軸，來拉遠和拉 近，

要看一張圖片的放大圖時，只要點兩下圖片，就會看到圖片的放大圖，

在點兩下它就會縮回去了，如果要看這圖片在網路上的位置，

左上角有一個小箭頭，點他 就可以直接瀏覽了。

只要你外掛這個程式, 在網頁上所有圖片, 在左下角會出現箭頭,

點選就能看同一路逕的圖片slideshow.

Ein praktisches und ziemlich einfaches Tool um Termie abzustimmen (oder um andere Abstimmungen zu treffen z.B ein Feedback). These are our first steps in a blog. We will try to improve this blog and are still working on the design. For a better networking we recommend you other networking tools on other sites. Doodle:
This is a great tool to arrange a meeting request (or for others requests for example a feedback). Only one persons has to set up the meeting request on www.doodle.ch the link to the request can be posted on this ESF 2008 blog or you send the link with an email to the group of participants. So each workshop group could arrange there meetings without starting an email ping pong.

The explanation is written in german on the doodle website, but it is easy to set up a request

- Start www.doodle.ch

- click on "Umfrage erstellen"

- enter the titel/ question of yor request

- you can describe your request in the big description field "Beschreibung"

- you have to enter a name (use your firstname or a nickname)

- you dont have to enter your email address (I advise to enter your email, you will get an email with the "request link" and an "admin link" to change or delete the request) - click "Fertigstellen"

- Fill out the "Option" fields with different dates or answersyou want to request - click "Fertigstellen"

我告訴我朋友有人盜用帳號,結果,

跟她通msn時她的滑鼠被人控制, 發現情形不妙,我們趕緊離線,

結果我的電腦馬上掃到兩個病毒, 真是可怕啊!

這是我第二個朋友發生這種事.

最近沒事,我的msn 或skype沒事就不上線,

所以要小心點, 不要在msn或Yahoo 即時通透露機密,

小心"毀碟就在你身邊"!

還有常常會收到不明人物的email, 我不看直接丟到垃圾信箱,

有人寄的轉寄信有附加檔的連結我都不敢開, 除非知道那是什麼東西.

也有些人被人盜用的信箱帳號, 通常被用來傳色情的信件, 除非你想看,

否則, 開了不知道會不會被"下毒"呢?

同學傳了這樣的一封有用的方法, 不訪參考看看.

會被盜用帳號是因為被植入木馬程式

或是按到不明的超連結所致

所以不管密碼改了幾次都是一樣的

要杜絕帳號盜用最好的方式不是裝掃毒軟體

而是重灌

從此以後登入帳號採用 "跳登的方式"

不知道你是否瞭解跳登?

跳登:在登入帳號的時候首先打入密碼欄位.打密碼的時候不要按照密碼的順序打

例如:密碼是1234的話.則先打24再用滑鼠點到24的中間打3.然後再用滑鼠移到最前面打1
（如此木馬所傳輸的紀錄是2431）

再來以同樣的方法輸入帳號..切記.....是用滑鼠移動唷.不可以用鍵盤的方向鍵
