Okay, so I don't know what will happen if I do this, but I just recently watched Zeitgeist and though it was AMAZING!!!

Scary, but amazing. Then I decided to go to IMDB, and go on the forums to see what everyone else was saying. Oh but the movie was apparently proved wrong and everything. Which really dissapointed me cause I thought everything they said was smart! It really taught you a valuable lesson to not beleave everything you see, and go out there and research it.

Just incase people don't know, Zeitgeist is like a documentary about religion, and the 9/11 attack conspiracy theory. I mean I don't live in the US or anything but I still though it was really scary and stuff. But what I also found scary, is some of the references to 1984 (george orwell)

Well, I think everyone should think what they can about this movie, and it's great that it's free and everything. I really liked it, and I still do believe almost every point it had to make in it! It was really daring to cover the religion though. I mean some people are very defendant about there religion and so that could pose problems and stuff. Okay, I shall stop rambling and everything.

for anyone who wants to see the movie heres a link: http://www.zeitgeistmovie.com/

I like to know what everyone else thinks of the movie!

it’s been an awful long time since i’ve last written. i miss the feeling.
i’ve bee

it's been an awful long time since i've last written. i miss the feeling.

i've been in makati ten days now, and i've had a lot of time to myself; a lot of time to walk, a lot of time to think, a lot of time to think about what to write but never enough time to write them. i regret having to squeeze them all in one post, but i have little choice. sigh.

i am helpless without my zee. four years ago, the first time i bought clothes by myself, i concluded that some things, like buying clothes, should be left to girls. i reinforce that conclusion. when left alone to do my shopping i end up buying too-expensive socks, too-tight slacks and too-large shirts, in colors that i've never worn before. each day begins with a resignation that i don't know what the hell i'm wearing and by the time i reach the office i don't even care anymore. -__- all the company cares about is that i don't wear t-shirts of jeans anyway.

i found a copy of octavia butler's "wild seed" in buy-the-book, a bargain bookstore near where i'm staying. the sticker price was 99 pesos, stuck over a 309-peso powerbooks sticker. ^^ i bought it as a gift to myself and finished reading it yesterday. it came very highly recommended by orson scott card, one of my favorite authors, but my official review of it was less than spectacular: i found it very nicely written (good), largely disturbing (okay) and painfully unresolved (bad). i would have liked anyanwu (the main character) to have had more of a victory over doro, especially after all the abuse she went through those hundred and fifty years. with the story's conclusion, i found her to be much too submissive for my tastes. dammit.

note to self, do not mistake pasong tamo avenue for pasay road. and remember, stupid street signs use the names pasong tamo and chino roces interchangeably. i ended up walking a long, long, long way from sta ana race track to don bosco tech. inst. tonight because of that mistake. sprained my ankle too. lesson learned.

i have decided today that instead of buying jollibee's hot choco drink each morning, i will buy from dunkin donuts on the ninth floor, for the simple reason that, unlike jollibee, dunkin uses paper cups. and as much as i like their pancakes, i will cease from buying them until they stop serving them on styrofoam. it's not about global warming of tree-hugging or whatnot. it's common sense. there are alternatives to polluting.

there is also something that i want you to watch, if you can get your hands on a copy and if you can stomach it. it's a conspiracy-theory documentary about christianity, september 11, and american banking. it's called zeitgeist, and whether or not you believe it, i think it is worth the watch.

ignore the introduction. the narration was unintelligible and the images of war were just hurtful. if you're sensitive about your christian faith you can skip the first part entirely and jump straight to 9/11. the creator, the same guy who made "the god who wasn't there", has a habit of using sarcasm and irony that doesn't really complement his arguments. and he presents some good arguments, really. being agnostic, i don't feel the need to defend the christian faith so much and probably less prone to being offended that, say, a faitful christian, so if you do decide to watch the first part, try to do so while delaying judgement. if you don't decide to watch it, that's fine too.

the part about the events of 9/11 being orchestrated by the united states government itself scared me a little, and i'm inclined to believe it even now. the part about how the three buildings free-fell seemed eerily convincing to me.

the banking part was perhaps a little too conspiracy-ish for me. but it was good enough for entertainment, i guess.

lastly, a few words about movies.

hulk - 7/10. the fight sequence was hyped up way too much by my friends. i think i liked ang lee's version better.

wanted - 9/10. a must watch. great concept, great plot, great cast, great action. the only reason it didn't get a 10/10 is because the action still could have been better. they took a concept full of potential but didn't take it as high as it could have gone.

four years ago, on my first birthday here in manila, i concluded that it was almost impossible to have fun on your own. you can be happy, you can be content, you can be entertained, but "fun" is almost impossible, and attempting it, for me, is quite painful. i reinforce that conclusion. watching movies alone is no fun.

i am helpless without me zee.
